Green pozole and chocolate chip cookie

Always friendly staff and accommodating to my needs. I love their pozole soup! Also, there's validated parking around the side that many don't know about. Makes it one of the more convenient places in this area to eat at.

Pacific Grilled Salmon

This is my second visit to Tender Greens in Pasadena. Both times, I ordered something with salmon because I love salmon. Concept is simple and easy as shown below. Pick one protein Pick one green Pick one side For my most recent lunch, I went with the Pacific w/ Grilled Salmon that comes with sushi rice, miso mayo, pickled cucumber, carrots, mizuna, sesame, and ginger dressing. Yes, give me everything! A whole avocado would have been a nice addition to this bowl. Nevertheless, it was so delicious and tasty!! Staff was nice and pleasant. Atmosphere is open and spacious. Great dine-in seating available. They can get super busy during lunch so come here early. Parking may be limited. Any offering of healthy and delicious meals is a WIN in my book. Go Tender Greens! And thank you for sharing your love for better health through better foods!! P.S. I will post more photos later. Thanks!

Fried chicken plate with mashed potato and baby spinach
Annie T.

It's been a hot minute since I've had tender greens, probably about 2-3 years, some things remained the same and some different. Food - My go to has always been the plate with the crispy fried chicken with mashed potatoes and baby spinach. This time around it seems like the breading is different - it's not as crispy, and a little bit sad - still tastes decent though, but wasn't how I remembered it Service - The Pasadena crew is phenomenal- very friendly, helpful, and fast. I'm always impressed with their service here.

Healthy food choices. Pasadena area. I got the Plates--Seared Tuna (which is raw) and 2 sides (seasoned vegetables and Mac & cheese). The seasoned vegetables were really good. Mac and cheese wasn't that good. Seared tuna was ok. The Roasted Tomato Soup was ok too. I would have liked it creamier. Sundays, the street parking is free even though there is metered parking. However, just make sure and check. Clean tables when we went. There are restrooms.

Ally and Arturo helped us and were so wonderful about my allergies! Food is super yummy, hot, flavorful and delicious!! Always love coming here

Steak plate with two sides

This review is only based on my TOGO experience. The steak was cooked medium rare. And it was not overcooked like other places! It was well seasoned. It was pricey, $20 with tax but definitely worth my money because it was healthy and cooked to perfection. The crispy potatoes were just potatoes cut into pieces and deep fried, seasoned with salt. I gave it one star off because the bread was extremely hard to bite. Maybe it's meant to be consumed differently? I'm asian. I don't know what to eat that with other than by itself. Would come back.

The food overall was good . My burger was interesting . Someone in the back started ringing us up and then a guy took over so the girl in the back said it came with potatoes, but the guy said would you like to add something so I'm not really sure what it comes with. We asked about Chardonnay, If he could describe the difference is he said no he laughed and says I just sell it . I like the outside seating . I probably wouldn't go back to eat there.. parking on streets in front and on side streets

Very accommodating! There was a miscommunication with our order and the manager was helpful in placing the order for us. The restaurant was clean. We had about 12-15 orders and it took about 40 min. I picked up in person and was able to see them assemble and pack our orders. I appreciated that the orders were all correct and they labeled it by names. I recommend for catering. Food is delicious and fresh tasting.

grilled steak plate, cilantro lime brown rice, and seasonal vegetables

My first time back in over a decade. I ordered the grilled steak, cilantro lime brown rice, and seasonal vegetables. Everything came out in a timely manner and was delicious. Steak cooked medium rare, rice was well cooked, and the vegetables were seasoned well. If you're a big steak fan like me you'll like the steak here. No need for extra seasoning. Tables are cleaned and has a good vi e to the place. I'd come back here with friends and family.

Salmon plate with baby greens salad & red wine vinaigrette and roasted vegetables. Lemonade & mint beverage

Arrived for an early dinner at 4:45 PM on Tuesday with a friend for first time visit. We wanted to eat a healthy salad. We were not disappointed with the salmon plate with two sides ( Roasted vegetables and arugula or baby greens salad). The salmon was cooked just right and the salads with appropriate dressing. The variety of roasted vegetables were fresh and nicely seasoned. Service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed so we were able to eat leisurely and chat.

I have always loved tender greens and appreciated how fresh the food tastes! Never feels like it has unnecessary oils or cooked poorly. I'm so sad about the pasta pearl salad being taken away from the menu! The food is great and the service is always fantastic. This time they did forget to give us the bread but it's okay. The waiter ended up giving us a free cookie out of the kindness of his heart it was very much appreciated and very sweet! We'll always come back

grilled salmon plate

Pretty much everything about this place exceeds expectations. The lighting is warm, the seating is comfortable, the service is on point, and the flavor and quality of the food is excellent. Now add to that about a $20 price point for most entrées which is incredibly reasonable and you get five stars from me. Both the grilled salmon plate and the grilled steak plate were excellent, although I preferred the salmon by a slim margin.

Without fail, this restaurant can never get the order right. They need to invest in quality control. Food is alright.

We were seated quickly on the roof, right by the fire as the sun set, which created a warm and relaxed atmosphere perfect for a memorable visit. Sammy, was our server she had the best recommendations and delivered attentive, friendly service that made the experience extra special. We started with cocktails, all fantastic, with the White Lady and Gran Sour standing out as favorites among the group. For starters, the Brussel Sprouts, grilled cheese dippers, and the bread with whipped duck fat butter were all delicious, the bread and butter being especially indulgent. For entrees, the Stroganoff was amazing--comforting and perfectly seasoned, and served in a cute Dutch oven. The pork chop with mango chutney was also outstanding, pairing well with Cajun spices. I'm already planning a return visit to try the miso brown butter chicken and to explore the dessert menu. Overall, Granville offered a superb combination of superb service, strong cocktails, and standout dishes, all enjoyed in a stunning rooftop setting. I'll definitely be back to see Sammy again and to continue exploring the menu.

We shared had a Pinot Noir, recommended by our server which was very good. The charcuterie board enough to fill the gap while we waited for our main dinner. Everyone was please with what we ordered. They do have delicately prepared chef's special from steak to salads that can satisfy everyone's palette. We started with a beautiful glass of pinot, light and smooth, the kind that lingers just enough to match the mood. The sourdough arrived warm, perfectly crusted, with butter that melted on contact simple, but done right. Our shared chicken salad was fresh and balanced, with that subtle char on the chicken that adds just enough depth without overpowering the greens. But honestly, as lovely as the food and patio were the dappled sunlight, the quiet hum of a Pasadena afternoon it was her company that made everything taste better, feel softer, and linger a little longer. I've heard some good things about this place and from other fellow yelpers friends, it must be…read moreworth it. Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

She read my mind and knew without me saying. They serve lukewarm water and the a/c was on but was not on ..if u catch my drift. The front hostess was also phenomenal, I had reservation for outdoor seating but since she saw that the sun was like glaring, she asked if I wanted to change to inside. Very obliging and accommodating. Food: 5 stars, surprisingly good, right amount for us. I was full but I can see where other reviewers say portions are small. It's small if u're a heavy eater. But the quality is definitely there. Ambiance: trendy, high energy, casual vibes where u can lounge and have a beer while munching on fries...or u can choose to be poshy and have a glass of wine with a salad and Chilean sea bass. It's flexible to accommodate both as there are different sections. Parking: street metered 1 hour parking. 3 stars, not their fault but 1 hour is simply not enough. It can get super busy and the server can be pulled left and right, so cut them some slack during super busy hours. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended .

Got together with friends for an overdue dinner at Holy Saints on a Saturday evening. Made a…read morereservation for 7:15 and got seated quickly (didn't have to wait for the other couple). I ordered the bread plate and the BBQ butter was unique and really good. Friends ordered the griddle cakes and potato appetizers, both very good and decent portion sizes. For dinner my husband got the lamb (because they were out of the catch of the day which he was looking forward to), I got the pasta without prosciutto, friends got the shrimp and grits (head on shrimp hard to manage when they are covered in sauce but it was very tasty) and he got the same pasta dish as me with the prosciutto. We all agreed the food overall was better than good. The service felt strange. We were greeted with a friendly smile but once we started ordering dinner and made a joke about wanting to make a substitution (which we knew ahead they don't do) it felt like things changed. Maybe it was earlier when one of us asked if they could close the front door because it was drafty and cold (no they can't close the front door). Can't quite put a finger on it. Our reservation was at 7:15. By 8:30 the place was empty except for us. We were finishing up but weren't done. We weren't offered a dessert menu but instead they started putting up the chairs and by 8:45 they turned some of the lights off. They close at 9 but it was obvious they all wanted to get things closed up so we got our check and left. Overall, $250 for 4 people produced a tasty meal for each of us but in Pasadena where we have a LOT of choices we probably won't be back. Especially when a place states "no substitutions" and they also won't accept any requests for meat to be cooked to a certain temp. To me that seems to indicate the kitchen staff is either handcuffed, or they are unable to act on the fly if someone needs to make a change or wants their meet cooked medium well. I want to 100% enjoy my meal and experience when I go out and spend good money and Holy Saints wasn't that for me.
