I have had nothing but wonderful/exceptional service with this dealerships repair services, especially from Travis, he always makes me feel welcomed and valued as a customer and doesn't try and take advantage of me, he's honest and lets me know whether my car is fine without particular services or whether I should start thinking about it in the next check up. Made an appointment nearly a month ago & had them tell me on the phone that my service would be covered under warranty only to pull up to my appointment & have them make me feel stupid by telling me there's no way that would be covered & didn't believe me when I spoke about the phone call. Aside from that, they wanted to charge me $550 dollars for TWO separate diagnoses on issues that were related to each other. I can understand the $275 for diagnosis but never had I heard of 2. & that wasn't even including the repair!!! I called Huntington Beach Hyundai & they told me that's actually illegal to charge those 2 separate diagnoses. All issues I've had I've had to drive an hour plus to different Hyundai's because Temecula always blows me off or just has very subpar service. I hate leaving these reviews but I feel others should know before they go. Owning a Hyundai is hard enough (I should have done more research before buying and that's entirely my fault) but it doesn't have to be even harder with bad communication & poor service. I had an issue with my Navigation system after a firmware update that caused the entire AVN to stop working properly. No navigation, no access to climate controls, no cellphone control, nothing worked. The Manager, Carlos had the car inspected and agreed that there was an issue that was not of my own doing. They worked to get the entire AVN system replaced "free of charge"!! My car is out of warranty so this was huge since the replacement part is not cheap at all! Within a few days they had everything approved and set up, brought the car in and within a couple of hours the system has been completely replaced and working properly! I have to say the staff was pretty nice, but for whatever reason, the finance guy was tied up with other customers so it took forever. They also forgot to double check all the mats were in the new car, and the next day we found out it was missing. They were good about it and got one for us. Service has so far been good. I arranged to purchase a used car and drove down from Los Angeles to pick it up. When I arrived and test drove the car I discovered the steering wheel was frozen in position. The rear glove box top was detached from the box. It was obvious no one has done a point by point inspection of the car. The used car sales manager has zero interest in making things right. A wasted day because they didn't do the minimum. It's always buyer beware with used cars but the sales manager clearly couldn't have cared less. I'm ready to trade in my 2018 for a 2022, with the low stock of vehicles I knew it may be hard finding the vehicle I want. However I was able to find the exact color and added packages on the hyundao that I wanted but it was in Moreno valley. I thought I would go to a couple places just to know what I can expect for trade in value on my car. When I finished at trmecula hyundai I let the salesman Freddie know that I was looking for an appraisal and that the car I wanted was in Moreno valley. He said no problem at all and we went into the office, multiple times he asked me if I wanted a different color or a model without the upgrades, I told him I was interested in the one I spoke to him about and that I just want the appraisal today. The gentleman came back and said that Moreno valley sold the car already and it's no longer available. I said no problem, what is the value of my car. Again he asks me if I want a different color or different model. I told him again I would like the appraisal. He told me the appraisal price to which I responded that is 2,000 less than what I was quoted elsewhere and told him I was not interested. After getting back in my car I had my husband call the Moreno valley hyundai and they said that the car was still in stock, and my husband even confirmed the last 4 of the VIN. I understand wanting to make a sale, but I will not stand being lied to. Myself and my father who is retired military have been coming here since 2007 and I'm just appaled that a frequent customer would be lied to. I never thought I would say this about car shopping as it always stressed me out to even think about but I truly actually enjoyed working with the team here! I had been going back and forth between the hybrid RAV 4 and Tucson very thoroughly but after picking the Tucson limited Phillip and Shawn really helped get me to finish the line! I live in San Diego but Phillip really went above and beyond any salesman we dealt with at nearby dealers so coming here was a no brainer. He was very supportive of any and all questions we had, incredibly responsive, but above all I can honestly say I felt like he cared about making this car happen for us and not just anyone. With how in demand the Hybrids and having multiple others fall through I know the car would have sold to basically anyone but the way he handled the entire picture made me feel like he actually wanted it to happen for ME. The dealership itself was oddly very fun to be in, I can't say how many team members I spoke to in passing or tidbits but they were literally all incredibly friendly and welcoming. As for finance, the loan they offered was incredibly competitive and actually beat my pre approved loans APR by quite a bit and Shawn made agreeing to my most expensive purchase seriously painless! He's incredibly funny and efficient, I expected an absolute shit show going on Black Friday and he made it a walk in the park. If you have stuck with me this long, GUYS the Tucson Limited is LIFE! The sport mode, the handling, the wireless phone charger, the moon roof, the self parking, the MPG, the leather, and the overall aesthetic have me obsessing over it. I was driving from San Diego to Temecula when my Santa Fe started chugging and the check engine light went on. Crossing my fingers that whatever issues it had might still be under warranty, I had it towed to Temecula Hyundai. After the diagnostics were run, we were given a quote of almost $4000 to replace all the fuel injectors and fuel pump. Great! -- so first (which this isn't the service centers fault, more of a general Hyundai issue) any work wouldn't be covered under warranty since we were outside of the bumper to bumper period. Secondly, our car has less than 50k miles, but the recommendation was to replace ALL of the fuel injectors AND the fuel pump? We called 3 other mechanics to get a quote and all of them did a double take when I told them the extensive amount of work that was being recommended. So we ended up taking it elsewhere and found out that just one injector needed to be replaced ($800). We had to pay $250 just to get the diagnostics run, but I guess the silver lining is that it saved us $3000 in unnecessary repairs! read more

Drive your car elsewhere for service. If it's not a quick buck out of your pocket, they don't give a s#!t. Go to Ontario instead. Quite a few months ago there was a tap noise each time I applied the brakes and another once I started to accelerate. It's like when there is a bottle in the trunk except a metal tap instead of a thump. I took my new car there so they could investigate. I was told that they did hear the same noise I was hearing but could not find it because their chassis ears were not working. It's a device that helps pinpoint were noises are coming from. No worries, they would order new ones and call me in a few weeks. I asked if the car was ok to drive and they confirmed it was. A month goes by and no calls. I called them and they stated it has not arrived yet. Another month and nothing. I brought my car for service and the the service guy had no clue what I was talking about then tried to BS me that the "part" was not ordered. What part? It's a tool. "Oh yeah, let me look into that. We will call you". A month later still no call. I called the service manager and he stated he would look into it. Still nothing. I called to speak with the store owner but he was busy so the assistant manager spoke to me. He empathized and agreed, told me he would get to the bottom of it and call me back. A month later I have yet to get a call from anyone about what they promised to fix. Why? Bottom line, in my opinion... if they can't separate you from your money as fast as possible, they have no interest in helping you. They lost this customer and anyone else I can influence. read more

Our car is a brand new 2024 Kona and we've had 4 incidences where the car randomly would not start so we had to have it towed to Hyundai in Temecula. They would keep replacing the battery but wouldn't give us an explanation as to why the battery kept dying. This last time it happened, they called us and said the car was ready, so we arranged to pick it up at 7pm after service closed. Service was going to leave the keys with the sales department. We live in Laguna so it took us 2 hours to get there in traffic on a Friday night. We dropped off our rental car when we got to Temecula, and took an uber to Hyundai to pick up our car. We arrived on time. However, when we got there, they told us service forgot to leave the keys with sales. So we were not able to pick up our vehicle and we were stranded. There was no apologies or any reason or explanation why they told us to come get our car but never left the keys. Nor was there an explanation as to what was wrong with the vehicle except they replaced the battery again. They were very rude and it was like they were putting the blame on us. They actually threnghtened us stating if it was rats or something doing this to the car then we would have to pay for it. I went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle at their advertised price. They refused to sell me the car at that price and attempted to add an additional $1900 to their advertised price. I could not believe that they were able to do this, since I was willing to pay them their full asking price. There's more going on here as well. At first, they tried a bait and switch, showing me a different car but leading me to believe that it was the advertised car. When that didn't work they said the car wasn't on the lot. When that didn't work they tried telling me that the car may have been sold. The level of deceit and dishonesty that this dealership exhibited is appalling. I called Corporate but apart from apologizing they are not too interested, saying that the dealers "can set their own prices". Shawn Smiley, Finance Manager, was not honest in telling us that Gap and Warranty were to be purchased on our contract. Therefore, I returned to the dealership within 2 days and canceled these items in person. I was told the amount would be refunded and reflected in my Amount Financed with Hyundai Motor Finance. I emailed Shawn Smiley 3 other times asking for update on my refund and his reply was that it would take 60 days. He did not reply to my last email sent 03/25/24 - 5 mos after my cancellation. I spoke to Hyundai Motor Finance and was told they never received notification of the cancellation. HMF says this happens alot where dealership's Finance Dept says they cancel items and then don't. HMF said they will enter a formal complaint against Shawn Smiley and expedite my refund. Posting this review to caution other buyers to follow through when they cancel items sold through Finance Departments at dealerships. read more

Service center is shady and will gundeck your maintenance I've been coming here for a year to get my Hyundai serviced. I've serviced my car with other Hyundai dealerships and this place has the laziest technicians I have ever encountered. They will NEVER do a multipoint inspection not as thorough as other dealers. Case in point, they have NEVER checked my battery. When I asked the service advisors, they said that you would have to explicitly tell them to check the battery upon arriving. If that is amount of attention to detail they put, then you already know they don't give a f*** about your car. Eventually my car battery died in the middle of nowhere and to scramble to get jump started. That situation would have avoided if they just check the battery like normal dealerships do. I don't know if it's the service advisors or technicians not doing their jobs. I've been coming here for a year now and they NEVER TOPPED my fluids. Coolant and wiper fluid were almost empty a year after I started getting serviced here. When I came in recently, I explicitly told the service advisor to top of my fluids, which I was assured they will. When I came back to get my car after it was done, I popped open the hood and lo and behold, my fluids were still low. This is dealership is just so blatantly deplorable. read more

Recently brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. After waiting more than an hour, I was told my car was ready. Unfortunately, the service folks were dishonest. I marked my rims before taking the car to the dealership so I could verify they actually rotated the tires. Sure enough... they didn't. When I informed the service advisor I marked my rims to confirm the tires were actually rotated... he gave me the deer in the headlights look and actually tried to argue they had rotated the tires and would confirm via their video surveillance. I assured him they did not and the video would verify that. Needless to say, they lost my business. I prefer to deal with folks who do honest work. read more

I bought an all-electric Hyundai Ionic 5 all-wheel drive car from Riverside Hyundai. However, since I lived in Temecula I intended to get my car serviced there. So first let me say that the personnel in sales and parts are nice and helpful, but they are massively understaffed. I ordered paint because the rim molding around the tire seemed to have just rotted away. Hyundai says it looked like a shopping cart hit it, but I think it was a defect. In any case, when I got the touch up paint, it was the wrong color. It turns out that the rim area is a darker grey than the rest of the body and they don't have the touch up for it. They did return my money, but I waited 4 weeks for the touch up paint and had to go in to the dealership to remind them. The guys in service are ok, but not friendly. I had a rough time making an advance appointment. The General manager is a nice guy. but what he promised me never materialized. Let me back track a bit. Riverside Hyundai Salesmen do not know enough about the Ionic 5, and the two year free charge ups are really bogus because Electrify America has few places in Southern CA and the places they have are often troublesome to charge your vehicle. Their support is not very good either. I had to get Southern Cal Edison to change my plan to a variable plan so I could charge the vehicle after 9pm. This was not going to happen until September 9th. It actually happened on September 12th. Now, the General Manager offered, since there are no Electrify America's in Temecula to charge my car if I came at 7am. I did, but they only have two chargers that you had to pay with a charge card. I ended up going to Murrieta to charge up. Having said this, here's why I would not purchase an Ionic 5 electric vehicle. I have "all" wheel drive. I'm supposed to get at least 250 miles. That's misleading. You really get around 160 because your radio, A/C etc. takes away the power. Plus, there are 3 modes of travel, SUPER, REGULAR OR ECONOMY. Only economy gives you that 160, Regular has more pickup and costs more energy. Here you get around 150. So I have to fill up every few days. This is a pain. Second, there isn't enough actual storage and fitting 3 in the back seat is difficult. The dashboard is difficult to operate and to set things always takes several steps. I think the biggest travesty is that I overpaid ($65,000 with trade in) for a vehicle that gets less performance than advertised. They do not even provide you with an adequate charger. The charger they give you is a 110 volt that can only "trickle" charge the vehicle. It would take you a week to charge the car. What you need is a 220 volt 25 foot charger that costs $400 and up, not to mention $650 to put such an outlet in your house. I have acquaintances who get much better performances from the Mustang and the Tesla Y. Look into those first. read more

They keep changing the deal around and moving costs from one column to the other. Pay attention to the bait and switch. Also the dealer installed add on's which they say are 'mandatory' are a complete and utter rip off. Nitrogen in the tires $399 ($40 any tire shop). Forever battery $499! Window etching $499 door edge protection $499 and the paint protection $1250 all these numbers are absolutely absurd. At best $600 for everything if you even want it.
