I called Chris regarding a 2005 Chevy full size pickup truck that wasn't starting and had issues with stalling out. He mentioned he had been sick, but he still did a diagnosis over the phone and told me I could try a few things before spending the money to come out. That was my second indicator that I chose the right person for the job. We made an appointment for a diagnosis. When the day of the appointment came, he got the truck started, but he didn't stop there, he stayed to make sure it didn't stall out, which it did. He went through step by step to isolate the problem and eliminate possibilities along the way, which really helps for any future maintenance. At the end, he told me the parts he recommended getting, and basically provided me with the map I needed to get things handled. I was able to drive the truck to a better position on my property to do what I need to do. He charged a fair price for the diagnosis and he was thorough. I thought I was going to have to tow it into town, and then I found Wrench Mobile. Chris came out and diagnosed the problem ultimately to a chewed (mice!) ground wire. On a side note: I had a set of brakes in the car that needed installing -- something I had not planned on having Chris do, but he saw them and made me an offer. I have a 1989 Ford Mustang that needed to be diagnosed, it was leaking fluid and I wasn't able to drive it. I could smell something but I didn't know where it was coming from. There was fluid on the floor and it was slimy. Chris came to the house and diagnosed the problem right away, my car was in need of a new heater core. Fast forward, I called Chris back months later and asked him if he could replace the heater core.
