Ever since my bad experience with Frank's Auto Repair, I've had a hard time finding a mechanic I…read morecan actually trust. That's when I decided to give Mike's Auto Repair a try, and honestly, I'm completely impressed with how well Mike communicated with me from start to finish. I took my daughters 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T to Mike because I was experiencing what felt like boost lag. I had already replaced the wastegate on the turbo, but I still couldn't figure out what was causing the problem. Come to find out, the wastegate wasn't the problem at all. There was actually something broken inside the engine's timing system. Mike told me he would let me know ASAP if he found anything serious. The very next day, he called me and told me he found metal chips in the oil pan and believed the motor was no good. Luckily, when Frank's Auto Repair replaced my engine back in March 2025, I was given a 3-year/100,000-mile warranty. Mike contacted Frank and explained that the engine needed to be replaced under warranty. Frank requested the odometer reading and pictures of the metal chips in the oil pan, which Mike provided. A few days went by, and then Frank told Mike that the warranty company was denying the claim because I hadn't taken the car to an ASE-certified mechanic for oil changes during the year I had the car back. HERE'S THE PROBLEM: The warranty contract never stated that I was required to have my oil changed by an ASE-certified mechanic. It did not say I couldn't change the oil myself or that the warranty would be void if I did. At that point, I seriously started considering getting an attorney involved because I felt like I was being given the runaround over an engine that was supposed to be covered by warranty. Then, SUDDENLY, the warranty company changed its decision and approved the warranty. Mike eventually received the replacement engine and installed it. When it came time for me to pick the car up, things got a little strange. I was told Frank wanted to be there in person for the transaction and wanted me to sign a new contract stating that, once this issue was resolved, the warranty would be void and I could no longer come back to Frank for anything else. Well... Frank never showed up. Mike warned us that if we didn't sign Frank's new contract, Frank might refuse to pay the remaining $500 in labor that he was supposedly responsible for. At that point, we decided we weren't comfortable signing anything new with Frank, especially after everything that had already happened. So, I ended up paying the remaining $500 myself. I consider that another loss, but I wasn't about to leave Mike stuck without getting paid for the work he had already done. More importantly, I wasn't willing to sign another contract with someone I no longer trusted. I've now had the car back for a couple of weeks, and so far, the new motor is running great. Hopefully, it stays that way. I'll definitely provide an update down the road. But I will say this: Mike's Auto Repair earned my respect. His communication throughout this entire process was excellent, and he kept me informed every step of the way. After everything I went through with my previous mechanic, having someone actually communicate with me and stand behind their work made a huge difference. If you're looking for a mechanic who keeps you informed and treats you right hit up Mikes Auto Repair.

Wow, where do I even start?! I needed to find a trustworthy mechanic for my teen daughter's car…read moresince she'll be commuting to college soon. I wanted to make sure her car was 100% safe for those longer drives. She had been worried about her brakes and thought her alignment might be off, so I decided to take action. Normally, I handle her oil changes and tire rotations myself, but this called for a professional! I've been to plenty of auto shops in the area over the years, but none have ever impressed me with both honest service and reasonable pricing--until now! My daughter reminded me that her old dance studio used to be next to an auto repair shop, which I'd never really noticed before. So, I went online, quickly booked an appointment, and decided to give New Hub Auto Service a try. From the moment I walked in, I knew I made the right choice. Jason greeted me warmly, and I explained all the concerns we had with my daughter's car. I also mentioned I wanted the transmission fluid checked just to be thorough. Despite the fact that the shop was very busy, Jason assured me they'd get started on the car right away and have updates for me by the next day. But here's where they went above and beyond: just a few hours later, Jason called me with an update! He detailed everything they checked--he said they pulled all the tires, inspected the brakes, hoses, fluids, and even the tires--and guess what? Everything was absolutely fine! The brakes still had 70% on the pads, there were no alignment issues, and the car was totally road-ready. They even took it on the freeway to ensure everything drove smoothly! Let me tell you, an unethical shop could have easily taken advantage of this situation. They could have claimed the car needed new brake pads, an alignment, or unnecessary fluid changes. But not Jason, not New Hub Auto! Instead, they were completely honest and transparent every step of the way. When my daughter and I went to pick up her car, Jason went over everything again and reassured her that the vehicle was in great shape. His genuine care and attention to detail gave both of us so much peace of mind. I truly can't thank New Hub Auto Service enough for their outstanding customer service, honesty, and integrity. It's rare to find a shop like this, and I'm thrilled to say I'll be bringing all of our family vehicles here from now on. Thank you, Jason and New Hub Auto, for an incredible experience!
