Rest easy that whatever your problem he won't try to upsell you anything you won't need. When he replaced the rear axle on my truck with a salvage part he gave me a one year warranty and at 10 months it locked up and he said no problem and replaced it within a week and didn't charge me a dime. Only a man of integrity would do that. He's more than just reliable, he's a friend. If anyone says anything negative about Frank I would question their motives as he has bent over backwards for me and my whole family with multiple vehicles over the years.

Total bill would be just over $1,100. Quality Auto Repair examined the car, showed me how flexible the radiator hoses were and advised that only the serpentine belts needed to be replaced. Ivan was friendly and professional both in person and over the phone. I'd say his diagnostic fee of…read more$150 is fair compared to dealership prices--that's about the only positive I can offer. He charged me $750 to remove the intake manifold and starter, which I agreed to in hopes that he would identify the issue with my car. After a day and a half, I received a text saying my engine was seized and would need to be replaced. This was confusing because, during the initial diagnostic, he told me the issue was electrical. I don't believe he even used the proper tool to manually turn the crankshaft. I had my car towed back home, and yesterday I checked over the work myself. I found missing bolts, loose bolts, missing coolant hose clips, and the intake manifold was installed incorrectly--with a coolant hose pinched between the manifold and the alternator. I essentially had to undo everything I paid him to do just to inspect what else was missing or improperly reinstalled. Wires were left exposed and not put back into their plastic sheathing. For $750 in labor, plus $150 for the diagnostic, I expected a much higher level of care, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship. Unfortunately, what I received was far from professional, and I'm left disappointed and frustrated that I now have to fix the very things I paid someone else to do. I don't expect any kind of partial refund or apology, as that would only imply accountability for what I've outlined above.
