He checked the in the car air filter and it definitely needed to be changed. They also check your brake lights, blinkers, & fluids. My daughter got there at around 0830. They kept switching her to different lines and taking customers who got there after she did. She ended up leaving after 2 hours of waiting without an oil change. But it would have taken longer. My complaint is. My car recommended oil change is 6 Months or 7500 mile and the new standard is up to 10k between oil changes. Their sticker says 3 months and 3,000 miles I asked about and they said their machine prints the same for every car, I think this is a scam. Your business is oil changes and you know the oil type for each car. Their computer should be able to know the maintenance schedule for each car. The staff was great. The kind receptionist at Carmax Service referred me to this shop that is an authorized mechanic who works under Carmax's extended warranty program. Anthony efficiently ran the codes as my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. The lights eventually went way, but after he ran them again, he recommended I get the battery replaced. He found out how much the battery was by calling the dealer, and some after market spots. He recommended that I DIY which I normally do with battery replacements. He even topped off my oil as it was a quart low. After I got the battery replaced at O'Reilly, I came back, Anthony ran the codes, and it was all clear and not indicating anything of concern. I will only go to this shop from now on, as Anthony seemed to really care, and go out of his way to assist me even though his shop got no monetary benefits this time around. But, he treated and handled my siutation in a manner that I was very pleased, so I will definitely go back.

Just a heads up, but this place has closed or moved…read more Unfortunately for me, they messed up my mom's wheelchair van when they installed the new transmission. I only found out how bad of a job they did once I took the van to a mobility dealer for routine maintenance. They had to drop the subframe to install the transmission, and when they put the subframe back on they overtorqued the bolts and incorrectly installed the spacers. So now I have to have a body shop re-weld new nuts onto the subframe, costing me thousands of dollars. So, if they are magically still around, I would love to know!

I scheduled an appointment as well. I brought in my 2021 Toyota Supra for a second pre-purchase inspection for extra reassurance since Carvana offers a 7-day return policy. Rene gave me helpful pointers and general maintenance information about the Supra, including what to expect during ownership. He also explained that I would receive pictures from the inspection, which I really appreciated. The inspection cost $250 and took about 2 hours. Afterward, I received both a text and email with the inspection results and recommendations. Rene also shared that he regularly partners with local shops for car inquiries and refers customers to specialists when needed, which showed me that they care about getting people the right help. The front entrance has a smaller waiting area with movies playing, which made the wait more comfortable. One helpful note for first-time visitors: when entering the lot, the main entrance is to the left rather than straight ahead. I accidentally drove toward the back at first, but someone from the smog shop next door kindly redirected me. Overall, the experience was great. I felt comfortable with the service, communication, and professionalism, and I would definitely return to 395 Auto & Performance in the future.
