11/15/24 Friday 12:30 My Grandson had passed his road test and now it was time to give him our car. I was in a pickle for time so I did a real quick YELP search and came across Anthony at ProAuto. The review from the guy that says he comes all the way from SD to see Anthony, really stood out. I called immediately and arranged an appt for an oil change, rotation of tires, engine and cabin filter replacement, and a brake inspection. I do not want to deal with dealerships if I don't have to. This office was soooooo quiet, and calming. Overall, I really appreciated Anthony and the work he performed on our car. I will teach my Grandson where he needs to go when he needs service. I am also advising my daughter to check this place out. Anthony, you are a diamond in the industry. Don't ever change. Thank you again. I went on the wrong day for my appt. at Carmax Service. I was desperate to get my car fixed due to an upcoming business trip. The kind receptionist at Carmax Service referred me to this shop that is an authorized mechanic who works under Carmax's extended warranty program. Anthony efficiently ran the codes as my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. The lights eventually went way, but after he ran them again, he recommended I get the battery replaced. He found out how much the battery was by calling the dealer, and some after market spots. He recommended that I DIY which I normally do with battery replacements. He even topped off my oil as it was a quart low. After I got the battery replaced at O'Reilly, I came back, Anthony ran the codes, and it was all clear and not indicating anything of concern. I will only go to this shop from now on, as Anthony seemed to really care, and go out of his way to assist me even though his shop got no monetary benefits this time around. But, he treated and handled my siutation in a manner that I was very pleased, so I will definitely go back. read more

Finding a good, trustworthy mechanic hasn't proved itself an easy task. Too many times I've taken my car in for an oil change and suddenly there are so many things wrong with it that they want to replace. It's truly a dreadful feeling. That was until my fiancé met Anthony. We happened to both need oil changes and my car had a check engine light on, which I was dreading finding out what is was and what the cost will be. We took one car, had some lunch and hung out in the area then took mine when when it was ready. We got the call when mine was ready and found out what the check engine light was for; my gas cover was loose so he just tightened it. He could have said it was so many other things and taken advantage of that but he was honest. Pro Auto became out go for all car things and we won't look back. Anthony and his team are incredible and I couldn't recommend them more. Side note: I peaked into the shop floor and it was SO dang clean! I feel like them keeping it tidy is a huge deal. read more

Recently I had an electrical problemwith my Corvette and went there on a friend's recommendation. As you know when you have an electrical prob you leave yourself WIDE open. Last thing I thought it was was the battery. My batt was fine when I shut it off. Had to b something diff. Later that afternoon I got a call. Battery. I had them replace it and all is well. First: Shout Out to Kevin and Anthony for the OUTSTANDING customer service and car. Secondly: They checked to see (called on my behalf) if my AC was under warranty and it wasn't but gave me deal on labor and parts. Third: Special ordered the part(s) for me from general motors and made all the necessary calls and arrangements. Plus my parts for the new AC system came in the following day. Fourth: I dropped off my car for service on a Monday and got it back on Tuesday but meanwhile they offered to set me up with a rental car or Uber to get home safely while I wait for my car to be finished and offered to split half the cost. This place impressed my husband the first time he took our car there. Anthony is honest, trustworthy, and just a really friendly, helpful guy. The other day I was dropping off my car for my husband for some repair that VW had recommended. VW wanted $530 to do the repair! My husband called Pro Auto and was told they would to the repair for about $250!!!!! Quite a savings!!!!! When I dropped off the car for my husband, after Anthony saw the mileage on the car, he came out and told me he Didn't recommend the repair!!! He said he was afraid if he did what VW said we needed, it would do more damage than good!!! Never have I had such honesty!! Thank you Anthony for bringing back my faith in auto repair shops! I will never go to another mechanic! I have gone here for years and always had amazing service but when I recently had to go in for an entire engine replacement they really outdid themselves. Anthony broke down every possible option to me and was very straightforward and honest about each one. He gave frequent updates throughout the process and got me my car back in a timely manner. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger with over 330,000 miles on it. I was driving to work, oil pressure dropped tho zero, making a horrible noise, and smoke started pouring out from the hood. I immediately stopped and had the wreck towed to Auto Pro, explained what happened, and Anthony said he would look it over, but most likely the engine was completely dead. He explained that he would come up with some options, new motor, used motor, etc and the cost to replace would range between $5,000 to $7,000. Approximately 90 minutes later, he called and said their technicians evaluated the condition of the engine, and determined it was a simple gasket issue in the oil system. They fixed the problem, and was happy to announce the engine is running fine. I was overjoyed!! Not only did he get it running in just a couple hours (with no appointment !!), they have the integrity that is a rare find these days in auto repair!! He could have easily "sold" me an engine replacement costing me thousands, and I would never have known the difference. Instead, he charged me less than $100. I can't recommend these guys enough. Listen. I'm bad to my car. I'm bad at keeping up with maintenance, and I'm definitely bad at taking it in for anything in fear I'll be nagged for my aloof treatment of my newer vehicle but this place is totally not like that. I never get nagged, and I don't feel judged. They know I'm busy and sometimes broke so I never am anxious to bring my car here. I just got my brakes done yesterday. Price was great, customer service was awesome, and you can tell the owner is a super stand up guy. Keep in mind when it comes to your car, you definitely get what you pay for. Cannot recommend more highly. With auto repairs it always comes down to two things: trust and cost. IF you have the 1st, the second one is always easier to swallow. Anthony and the team at Pro Auto nail both things. Anthony seems to always give options instead of a hard sale. Been living in So Cal for a little over a year now and have been hoping to find an excellent auto mechanic shop who works quickly, knows what the heck they're doing, and charges honest and fair prices for the services provided. That is what I have found with Pro Auto! They repaired a nuisance problem on one of my vehicles that had plagued us for about 3 years (one which the factory dealership "experts" couldn't resolve after many trips. I can also say that having sat in their waiting area and listened to how the talk to and treat female clients, I will be more than willing to send my wife (and daughter in when she's old enough to drive) to these guys as well. I'm not saying women don't know anything about cars, I'm saying most mechanics treat them like they don't know anything about cars and it is extremely demeaning and disrespectful.
