Visited this business this morning. Needed some transmission work completed. My first interaction in walking in the door was Steve even though it was early in the morning he was full of energy and had a big smile on his face. I liked him right away at first, he thought the work might take a couple of hours, but looking deeper into the issue he decided it would only take an hour and then I would be on my way soon. I don't generally talk about the restrooms, but his was clean and bright a real plus when you've been drinking lots of coffee as promised my car was done an hour later and I was on my way. Needless to say while I don't wish any more transmission issues, if they occur I know that this is the place to be. After an oil change the mechanic told me I had a transmission leak and I would need to get my transmission replaced or rebuilt and gave me the name of Dyno Transmissions. My last car I had to give up, because of this same issue. The price to replace the transmission was more than the car was worth. My current car is also over 10 years old, so I thought I may once again be without a car. I seriously just considered donating the car and looking for a cheap used car that would be cheaper than a transmission, then I remembered the oil change mechanic said this place could rebuild transmissions, and another friend said it could be something as simple as a seal, so I thought I would call Dyno-Trans and see what they could do. They were able to get in my car the very next day. When I went in they were very friendly and had super sweet, kind energy. It was the sort of place you would feel comfortable and safe hanging out in for hours if you had to. They had it for about 4 or 5 hours and called me to tell me the leak was so minor that it was just regular wear that was expected on a car the age of mine, and that I didn't need to replace anything. This was so incredibly honest of them. I was expecting anything from spending a couple hundred to possibly a couple thousand to maybe even trashing the car for good. The cost for the inspection? Nothing. I would recommend them to anyone. I only wish I could have them as my every day mechanic. I was having problems starting my car and was told by -- we'll just say, a couple of entities in the automotive arena -- that the battery was fine but the alternator was bad. This shop came highly recommended by a friend after my Silverado's transmission failed. I called and left a message, Steve called back within an hour and was able to give me a quote for a rebuild or new transmission right then on the phone. Steve was able to help with towing the truck to the shop (set up the service), it probably arrived there at about 11AM. I chose to go with the new transmission after he confirmed the current one was toast, as suspected. The next day at 4PM, he called to let me know the truck was ready to be picked up. I suspect the truck will outlast the warranty on the new transmission at this point. Brought my vehicle in to have my transmission diagnosed. I thought there was something wrong with it. Steve took it for a drive and put it on the scanner. Everything was fine and what I thought was a transmission issue turns out to be something else. Contacted Steve after several people suggested him. The transmission on our truck was slipping. Steve was a straight shooter and as much as it pained us, we knew that the tranny had to be replaced. Having to get your car fixed is always a scary prospect usually due to how expensive it is. Well, when I started doing research on where to take my car when I first started having transmission issues. I mean, I read a gazillion reviews on various websites, reached out to several mechanic friends and their friends shops and felt like I did my due diligence before picking Dyno-Trans. Boy am I glad I did! They were great. First, I had taken my car up there after the light originally came on. Prior to this, I did have a friend run a transmission code scanner on it and it wasn't good news, but he had reset the code. So when I took it up there to Dyno-Trans, they took it for a drive, but to my shock, couldn't find anything wrong with it. I mean, they could've easily told me that first day that I needed a new tranny and I wouldn't have known the difference. But instead, Steve called me and told me that they couldn't find anything. That day I knew that I had picked a great place! Honesty is everything! He did recommend getting a flush, which I thought was a good idea as well and told them to go ahead and do it. Well, not even a week later, my car started chugging up hills again and my light came back on. I called Steve again and he said to bring it back up and then he delivered the bad news. I needed a new tranny. He deducted what I had paid for the flush from my total for a new replacement tranny and even gave us a cash discount, for which we were appreciative. It was still expensive, but a better price and warranty than several other places that I had called, some even being friend's shops. They were very communicative and answered my ten million questions throughout the whole process and got my car back up and running in a little over a day! Highly recommend this place for their honesty and integrity! I feel like that's very hard to find in today's society, especially when it comes to car issues. It's been a few weeks since the repair and she's running like a champ! No more chugging up hills for me! Thanks Steve and Dyno-Trans! Our Dodge 2500 truck had a major leak from the transmission. Our trusted and honest mechanic Mike Smith has always recommended Dyno-Trans for transmission work- so we took it to Steve to try to find the leak. After several days Steve said "he hoped he had found the only leak" and we drove it home. Within a few days the transmission fluid was all leaked out again, so we took it back to Steve. He kept the truck for about a week and when we returned to pick it up he refused to charge us anything. He had to buy a part costing more than $100, which got broken - so he had to buy that part again, and still he refused any payment from us. He said "I just want your business the next time!".
