I am done doing Temecula Hyundais work for them. On May 13, 2026 my certified pre-owned vehicle i had for approximately 3 weeks notified me I need to bring it in immediately. My vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately 90 days. During this time it suffered sun damage, and several paint scratches from sitting in the lot from its careless employees. Once I retrieved my vehicle, which I had to reach out for myself, the white interior inside was near black from the careless employees once again. I had to request that it be cleaned. To date since I retrieved the vehicle back the damaged trim pieces, damaged charge port, and paint have not been fixed. I am sick and tired of reaching out myself to get everything handled. It doesn't end there. The rental vehicle I was provided with was a Toyota Camry sedan. My vehicle is an Electric SUV. I'm a large individual along with my wife and toddler, there was little to no room. This doesn't include the inability to transport my two dogs anywhere as well. We got to then pay for gas over the next 3 months which we specifically got the electric vehicle to avoid as it cost near nothing to charge. I had to take early work days to exchange the vehicle as it needed an oil change from how long I had it. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from Temecula Hyundai myself, my parents have also purchased vehicles here and have had there own world of issues with there fully loaded SUV. None of my family will purchase another vehicle here again. If you do, know that you will have to do all the communication and work for them. They will never follow up, I had to beg to receive calls back and updates which I tried my best not to do as I knew the issue was troublesome. If your in the situation where your vehicle is going to be in there possession for more than a month, it will get damaged and dirtied. Do yourself a favor and learn from my mistakes and initiate a buy back process or consult a lemon law attorney much earlier. Hyundai Corporate is actually even worse to deal with. I am still going back and forth with them since I was still having to make car payments on a vehicle I didn't have. Highly advise not purchasing vehicles here. I do recommend if possible, check out Chapman dealerships in Yuma Arizona. They have been the only car dealership where they take care of there customers themselves. read more

He made us feel very relaxed and didn't give off the slimy car salesman vibe. His sales manager Pedro was unbelievable! He really worked with us and went the extra mile and took care of us! We want to give more stars because the service staff are friendly, but unfortunately, friendliness without effectiveness is not a winning combination. This place has problems, quite literally, from the ground up. Some are not the staff/management's fault, but some can certainly be chalked up to under-staffing, lack of training, or poor location culture. The service desk is physically cramped, there's nowhere for guests to wait to speak with your service rep without feeling like you're in the way of the door, the staff, or another guest, constantly shuffling to move out of the way. Calling is no better - the phone rings endlessly and then when you do connect, you can barely hear the staff member you're speaking with without staff members' customer conversation cutting in, not to mention the poor, scratchy connection that allows you to hear, at most, two of every three syllables. Phone system noise suppression would go a long way, or some noise dampening material in the all glass, tile, and metal box that is the service area. On top of that, the site is difficult to reach and easy to miss, the tiny lot is overflowing with a claustrophobic inducing amount of inventory, not a fun place to start a test drive or to navigate for service appointments. We've been given the run around on the second key that was promised in our sales contract on five separate occasions (two years running), and it's always somebody else's fault. We've gotten to the end of our anticipated service duration three times only to find they'd either not started on the car yet, or only gotten through a diagnostic without getting any work done. We love the vehicle itself. If you're in the Temecula area, we strongly recommend you drive the extra distance to get to another Hyundai dealership and save yourself the headache of dealing with the Temecula location. I bought a used Genesis from him and it only had one key fob and it did not have a cut key to get in to the car in case of an emergency. He worked with me and corona Geneisis to make it happen. We scheduled service and recall on our vehicle and dropped it off at Temecula dealership. Service advisor told us that vehicle would be ready by 11-11:30am and would call us to pick up vehicle. Didn't receive call or text, so we stopped after 1pm to find out that services had been completed but we were not made aware that it was ready for pick up. While driving home, noticed the "next service" tag that is usually placed on windshield as a reminder of the next service was not replaced. Also, the service interval counter on infotainment wasn't reset either. We're going to figure out how to reset service interval and set up a reminder for next service ourselves. We have had great luck with Hyundai autos over the years. They have the absolute best warranty and seem to run along time without costly repairs. We were contemplating trading my wife's 2019 Hyundai Tucson for a new SUV. I saw an advertisement for good lease terms on the 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and we decided to have a look see at Temecula Hyundai. We entered the showroom and were greeted by the nicest young salesman, Matt. I shared with Matt our expectations regarding the purchase of a new auto and Matt was both attentive and very accommodating. We test drove a 2026 and were very impressed. We laid out our requirements for trade in as well as monthly payments and Matt went to work. I was impressed with how close they came to my needs and with that we shook hands and the deal was made. Finance was a breeze and not one mention of selling me extras I did not need. That was a true breath of fresh air. We were done with finance and like a well choreographed dance, Matt entered the office to tell us our new Tucson is detailed with a full tank of gas waiting for us to take possession. I dropped my car off on Sunday with misfires in cylinders 1 and 3, after being told it would be diagnosed on Monday. Instead, my car sat untouched for three days while other customer vehicles were prioritized, and communication from the service department has been completely unacceptable. ​I had to call repeatedly every single day just to be told technicians had already left. When I finally reached the service manager, he immediately tried to shift the blame onto me by claiming I had used "bad gas"--even though the car had been driven smoothly for over 7 hours on that full tank before any issue occurred. It feels like they are deliberately trying to make this my fault so they don't have to process a claim through the engine warranty, since dealerships don't make as much money on warranty repairs. ​The manager promised to test the fuel, but when I called five times today (8/19), he claimed the shop doesn't even have the equipment to test gas and that I would have to pay out-of-pocket. When pressed, he immediately backtracked, saying he "never said it was a definite answer," and gave endless excuses instead of performing basic diagnostic work. ​Because of their delays, I had to pay out-of-pocket for a rental car, and management flatly refused any assistance. Scheduling an appointment online was easy, the dealership followed up with a reminder text a day or so before the appointment (much appreciated ;) I arrived about 20 minutes early and was immediately whisked into the service lane by a friendly and knowledgeable "Francis", he's very efficient in making sure the traffic flows in/out properly, much like the guys at the airport with the orange batons, leading the planes into the gates ;) Next a friendly redheaded girl (sorry, I forgot her name) got my info, took my key, and I was directed to the service desk... There, I was assisted by "Hayden", he was courteous, extremely knowledgeable and made the process of checking-in very easy.. I asked for a ride to a local shopping center, and a blink later, a Lyft driver was calling my name....Wow! Now that's service! Thanks Hayden... Hayden had told me when I was ready, just to call and they would send a car to pick me up...I decided just to hoof it, and get my steps in for the day with the mile walk... I got back to the dealership, and plopped down on a comfy chair in their newly remodeled lobby/waiting area (coffee and cold water was available there) Within a couple minutes I received a call from Hayden, stating my car was ready for pick up, he then asked if I needed a ride back to the dealership, I told him I was already there and proceeded to the service desk. I was immediately checked out, no surprises, no problems...I was told to step outside and my car would be brought up.... After standing there for a couple minutes, Francis noticed me, and asked my service number, he disappeared into the back and reappeared a minute or two later with my car...Awesome service! Thank you Francis! I walked around my vehicle, and noticed it had been washed....What! Most excellent, an added bonus, as most dealerships don't do anymore... All and all I was get my vehicle serviced, get some errands done, and even get some steps in, all in about 1 1/2 hours (exactly as Hayden had promised..) I had Adonis Gangcuangco help me when my engine blow out in my 2017 Hyundai. Was more than helpful and even had the head GM comp a new engine for my car. Amazing service I had! Just went back because my transmission is acting up. I got some new service tech and they either told me to buy a new $11,000 transmission for a small problem my transmission has. I told them I can get a new car for that price.... They transfer me to sales. Sales offers me next to nothing for my car. Services won't call me back now. My options are $11,000 for a new transmission or they won't do anything. Useless! I went from best customer experience to worst instantly. I thought I would give Hyundai a shot and bought a 2022 Kona. Purchased from Carmax in Carlsbad. Brought it in for an oil change a couple months ago. As is almost always the case with most dealers, they try to upsell additional parts & services. They told me my brakes needed changing immediately. I decided to decline and consult someone else to verify if that were the case. It was not. My brakes did NOT need to be changed. Recently I have had water leaking from behind my glovebox on the passenger floor. Took it in to see if they could assess the issue and fix it. I have an extended warranty. However; the likelihood of my warranty covering any part of this service is slim to none. They told me it would be $275 just to look at my car to see what's going on. So I left. Came home. Watched a couple You Tube videos, pulled the tube thru into the car and drained about 16 oz of water out. Put the tube back. Problem solved. read more

I purchased an Ioniq5 late April 2025. Price was higher than I wanted to spend but they offered a manufacturer rebate ($9000 on all their cars at the time and $100 in 2 other rebates - military and other car is a Honda) I liked the car enough and couldn't find anything that I liked better so we purchased it. Sale seemed to go through fine, sales rep was nice - possibly training someone when doing the paperwork as there was a second person sitting in. I have run into a few issues with the vehicle (Whole dash lit up like a Christmas tree - every error light! Then battery discharging due to external source message on start up and the overhead light goes on without warning) Service dept is nice and is easy to get along with. They reset the codes to see if that helped, and I haven't had the whole dash issue again but it didn't fix the other issues. The battery discharging message (which is alarming on a fully electric vehicle) and I haven't brought it in for the overhead light as it is most noticeable at night so I forget to call during the day! Fast forward a year and I am filing my taxes. My tax software says I am eligible for the $7500 tax deduction based on my VIN # but I need the info from IRS form 15400 that would have been filed by the dealership within 3 days of the purchase. I go through my papers and see no form. So I contact the dealer. First I was told the car wasn't eligible for that deduction. When I pushed saying that according to my tax software and the VIN decoder online through NHTSA (Gov website) both say otherwise, they changed to "you got that rebate at purchase" - again, I pointed out I did not. Then it was back to - not eligible. I spoke to the manager at this location who actually had the nerve to say this: you don't want to ask for that deduction because just today I had a customer that claimed it come in to complain because he was being audited. (hmm, just today! What are the chances?!) -- Anyway, the way I see it, they didn't file the form and are covering their backs. I am out a large deduction with pretty much no recourse. So expensive car with only about 5000 miles on it and already has some issues and more importantly for me: Shady business practices - I won't deal with them again and you might want to go elsewhere as well. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a recall repair, and after picking it up, I was told that I've been placed back on the waiting list because the parts were returned. This was extremely frustrating, as I was never informed of any issue with the parts prior to my appointment. I scheduled my appointment with BRENDA, who did not mention at any point that the parts had been returned or were unavailable. When I called to follow up, she was very unprofessional--speaking over me and insisting that a recording would prove she had informed me otherwise. I would actually like management to review that call, as I clearly remember being told that the seatbelts would be repaired and that I should remove all items from the second row because the seats would need to be taken out. This situation has caused a major inconvenience, and I would appreciate clarification and a resolution from management. read more

I have purchased 5 vehicles from this dealership since 2017. The problem is with the service and warranty! The service is horrendous and the warranty they sell you is not guaranteed even if you buy the best warranty and ask for a bumper-to-bumper, including electrical warranty. Recently, I was in there for a 2024 Tucson hybrid with an extended warranty and they gave me the complete runaround and I still don't have my cruise control fixed. But what bothered me most was they had loaner car but they didn't give it to me and they made me wait while they changed the oil for $180 and then gave me back my car after I paid for the oil change, but did not repair my warranty problem. Three days later, they still have not done anything about the warranty. It's a complete joke. The service advisor misled me. I think I just got hustled. On top of everything the paint on the car has oxidized on the back lift gate and they won't repaint that under warranty. Mechanically, the cars are good, but other than that, they have a long way to go. I feel like the whole thing is a hustle. I bought five cars from them so I know what I'm talking about. The owner reached out to me on a survey, but then I tried to contact him, but he disappeared. I spoke to the service advisor, but that was a complete waste of time. If you want good service and good quality, you'll probably have to go to Toyota. Hyundai is not there yet. read more

Let me start by saying I've taken my car here a handful of times over the last few years, and the service staff has always been kind and helpful. However, after my most recent experience, I'd caution people to get a second opinion on any mechanical recommendations. I brought my car in yesterday for a routine oil change. About an hour later, I received a call saying the car was almost ready, but that "the battery was bad" and they had to keep jumping it. This immediately seemed odd because the battery is only about 6 months old. When I arrived, the service advisor told me they had tested the battery and confirmed it was bad. However, when the mechanic handed me the keys, nothing was mentioned about battery issues. I started the car without any problem and drove home, but later it wouldn't start again. We took the battery back to the place where it was purchased to have it tested independently. They told us the battery itself was completely fine and suggested the issue may have been related to wiring or a connection problem. After reinstalling the battery at home, the car started and has been working normally. The whole experience left me uncomfortable and suspicious, especially given how quickly I was told I needed a new battery despite the current one testing fine elsewhere. Had my wife's car here, they didn't put the oil plug in right and it came out and she drove with no plug, oil pressure, and no oil, if I had worked on this car, or any other shop and worked on this car and done this, the warranty would've been avoided for the areas versible damage that has been done to the motor. They put oil back in it and said it's good to go. There's no way for anybody to know that now I'm fighting with the corporate side and the dealership don't trust your car in their hands. Now the car it's consuming a lot of oil And the dealer is telling me that I'm wrong that running the vehicle without oil would not cause it to burn oil because they did that 40,000 miles ago. Even though I explained them that it's gradually getting worse and now to the point where it was short 2 1/2 quarts when I changed the oil yesterday. The service Rider and the service manager both told me to my face that I was wrong and that couldn't be the reason why it's burning oil or consuming oil. The service manager got so mad at me that he copped his head to the side like you're cracking your neck, bald up his fist and did this like hard bite. Smile thing you know when some guys do that before they're gonna hit somebody in the face. And then they refused to work on my car, even though it's under warranty and they're the ones who didn't tighten the oil plug all the way. And now my car is having issues. The warranty is almost up, and I'm dealing with corporate because this dealer tells you you're wrong without even looking at the car. Mind you I've been a mechanic for 20 something years. So instead of just telling me, they'll take a look at the car they told me I was wrong. Got very upset with me called my car to the front and wouldn't even look at it. Mind you the cars under 100,000 miles still. I'm having issues with my other Hyundai and the White Paint and Hyundai not wanting to cover it even though they have an extended warranty on their paint now because of this issue. read more

This review is strictly for all the worker bees in the service department. I will write a not so great review for the owner/manager. First to find out about replacing the light lens on my Santa Fe. I was completely caught off guard at how much it would cost. My advisor was Blake and he was incredibly patient and informative with me. I chose to wait on that one because of the cost. A week later I received a recall notice and it was time for a mileage maintenance with my service agreement. I made another appointment and Blake was my advisor. It was to take 2-3 hours and I had to wait so I had taken a book. Five hours later it was finally done after they found another issue. Again Blake kept me informed and I'm sure I wasn't the most pleasant person at the time, but he remained nice the whole time. When I left and was waiting to get on the freeway the car sputtered as if it wanted to quit running. It did it twice more before I got home. Needless to say I called Blake and he told me to bring it back the next day. I did and he arranged for me to have a loaner. They kept it thru the next day and when I got it back it ran fine. Then I realized I had left my house keys in the loaner. I went back in and Hayden helped me with that. He was so pleasant and kind about the whole situation. He's is still working on it and even called to keep me informed because someone else now has that car. A big shout out to both Blake and Hayden! I considered my full interaction before writing this review and whether it was deserving of 2 or 3 stars. I considered this because of multiple pros and cons. I towed my car in because of rodent damage on Saturday 8/17 and all was well, I understood they were busy and would be unable to diagnose my car until Monday, I have no issue with this. I would say the first negative experience was the lack of communication to me the customer and the inability to call and successfully reach service. I was able to text multiple numbers that had been provided, but still often took multiple hours for a response. I'm concerned for the lack of communication and ability to reach the department. Also the minimal interaction that I had with Travis was awkward. {Text Message Attached} When picking up the vehicle I attempted to confront Travis and inquire what had happened and why he had virtually yelled by speaking in all caps, although instigated by my questions on their accessibility. Unfortunately, he had gone home which answered the why I wasn't getting a response on minor questions. I spoke to a wonderful woman named Courtney at the service desk who I brought up these concerns to and she did a very good job and providing an answer. She called and asked him for clarification, which I valued and made me more comfortable, but in the end I was just bombarded with the same excuses Travis had said. (I have altered my star score, but decided to leave this in) This Hyundai is currently under renovation and is very broken up which leads to miss communication and/or a lack thereof. I decided to give 3 stars because of Courtney, but I still left unhappy at the situation and felt I was at Temecula Service Temecula because I had no other options. I was told the reasoning for the "Netiquette" mistake was a copy paste error of sorts, but I'm not 100% sold. This is why I've included the message from Hyundai and not the messages from Travis' personal phone number. (End) I would say Courtney and the fact I received a working car back are the only two pros to this situation. I'm personally going to avoid having to have my service done here, but like I said there are not many options. I did mention I planned on writing a review and gave multiple opportunities to clear up the situation. My final issue is with how dirty I received my car back. {Photos included} I've never taken a car in for any type of service and be returned a dirty car. Typically cars had been returned clean and free of deep marks. After this I teetered back into 2 star or less territory. In the end I didn't ask about my car being excessively dirty because I could assume the response would be another reason as to why. So in conclusion, Temecula Hyundai Service will get the job done, but the process with be a bit difficult and bumpy. The only answers that are given as to why they are unable to, because of changing construction conditions or etc. I'm looking forward to a response and possible improving my current rating of 2 stars. read more

I dealt with this dealership only by phone and text. My son is interested in a used car for commuting. As he is busy and not that interested in cars, I have been researching possibilities and trying to locate an acceptable car for a fair price. I found such a possibility on this dealer's website. Looking for the ultimate price breakdown with taxes and fees, I noticed that they automatically add $3900 in dubious "dealer add ons." They encourage people to start the financing process with that charge included! I called to ask if those add ons were optional, because they were obviously worthless to someone looking for an affordable used car. The salesperson was very nice, and said some of that charge is for the security system which was put in for the dealer and which is optional to the customer. The other "upgrades" he had no idea. He went to talk to his manager and came back saying that they could take off the entire charge, like it was a special favor. I made an appointment for my son to test drive the car the next morning. Half an hour later I got two texts from this dealership, one for me and one for my son at my number. Both said the car was no longer available, but that we should come in anyway to check out available new cars. The texts were worded very differently, though not signed. I texted back canceling the appointment. This morning I received a call from a representative of the dealership wondering where we were and saying the car was parked out front and waiting for us! The original salesman I talked to texted me right away blaming the mix up on their "AI machine." Can't imagine what could be going on there. very disappointed. i took my ioniq 5 to have the lift gate fixed. i dropped it off at 8 am and had to call at 5 to ask for a status which was that it would be ready in the morning. This should have been communicated to me much earlier. They also said the car would be washed. i came the next morning and the car is not washed and the floor mats are covered in dirt. The kid who brought the car around just parked it in front and walked away, didn't check if i was the owner. kid in the black supreme pants should be fired for that as anyone could have taken the car. to add icing on the cake, the lift gate is still not fixed! don't give this dealership your business. Take the drive to a better hyundai for service. i've never been so disappointed in a dealership's service. read more

6 months later and this place remains terrible when it comes to service. First off, don't buy a Hyundai. Second, the attitude the staff has, the ability to not even provide a solution let alone help with the car troubles is astounding.
