Went here for dinner with my wife. Had reservation, and they sat us literally the second we walked in. Our server, Nicole, knew each of the what seemed like 8 specials as well as specialty drinks verbatim. The Margaritas were extremely good, and came out fast. Got 5 appetizers to share as our meal: Crap Napoleon, Baby Octopus, Bruchetta, Tuna Tartar and the Mussels. All were amazing. Sort of shocked at how large the portion of Mussels was for $12. The Crap Napoleon is insane, I would eat it every day. Its basically guac with crab meat in it. The portions overall were very nice for an appetizer price and we actually got a box for the last one as we were full. No room for dessert. Highly recommended. Outdoor seating is awesome. Met a friend for dinner at Teca, West Chester to celebrate her birthday. Our meal was very good. The lasagna I ordered was huge and I could only finish half just like the waitress told me- " you'll be able to have half for your lunch tomorrow" she said. So, that's what I did, I took the other half home in a doggie bag which was prepared for me in the Restaurant's kitchen. Our meal came to $139.80 ( included a 20% tip). Boy was I disappointed the next day at lunch when I opened my leftovers and found someone else's half eaten fruit salad! Later that day I called the restaurant to see how we could " fix" this error. The manager told me he would give me another lasagna if I came to the restaurant to pick it up. I live 30 Minutes away - that's an hour round trip. I thought an easy compromise would be to just credit my credit card for $9.00 which was half of the price of the entree. He proceeded to berate me. This " Manager" told me that my idea was unacceptable." He raised his voice and made it seem like this was somehow MY fault -he never even apologized! He actually said " How do I know how much of it you ate"? This is a health concern. What if one of my family members saw my leftovers from Teca, WC in our refrigerator and ate it thinking it was MINE? They'd be eating from a stranger's plate! Disgusting! I have frequented Teca WC many times but never again! When you make a mistake you should right that mistake! A simple $9.00 credit to my CC account would have gone far to accommodate for the error. The service at Teca was wonderful and the food was delicious! Donovan was our waiter and we started with the black and white bean hummus. Both were delicious and a great way to start our Italian lunch. My fiancé then had the Goloso panini ad I had the Vegatariano. Both were perfectly prepared and plated. We stuffed ourselves at TECA and had a nice date night. Our waiter gave us almost excellent service. He watched my water glass like a hawk, and it never got close to empty. However, he didn't introduce himself to us or welcome us when we sat, and didn't ask us if we had ever been there before. When explaining the specials, he looked at my husband the entire time. In fact, he seemed to talk and look at my husband a little too much. (maybe he felt bad because I was eyeing the hot bartender). We started with the caprese tower and it was delicious. I was worried about the tomatoes since it isn't tomato season, but they tasted wonderful. The basil, cheese, etc. was excellent. You can't go wrong with this appetizer. I had the penne alla vodka and I loved the cream sauce. The penne was perfectly el dente. My husband had a panini and said it was also good. He also had a side of pomodoro bruschetta, and again, the tomatoes were perfect. We each had dessert. My husband tried the tiramisu and the rum was strong in it, but it sure was tasty. I had the creme brulee and it was a large portion. It was beautiful when it came out. It had delicious strawberries, pineapple, and sliced pair on top, piled high with the help of whipped cream. Although it wasn't the best creme brulee I have had (not enough vanilla) it won for best presentation. Over all, a great night. My husband loved his vodka martini's and dessert wine. Not a cheap place to go and the drinks kind of put the tab over the top, but wonderful food and atmosphere. Wanted to add that when we saw our payment on our bank statement, it said, "Alberto's" on it. I know there was an Italian place called Alberto's in West Chester several years ago that had closed. I had the best lasagna at Teca. The serving was big enough to take home leftovers. My mom had this great crab meat appetizer that she loved. Service was good. We sat out front on the street and watched the people and dogs walk by. Fun atmosphere. read more

Had a baby shower here the other day and the service, food, and space were great! But unfortunately, the owner, Rob, was very rude and inconsiderate towards us as customers. He was not fit to be running the parties as the upstairs manager, Adrian, was better at everything than he was. Rob did not explain the contract to us, charged us more for the alcohol than he said they would, and gave a tour to other people while our party was going on! We're lucky that Adrian was running our party because he was considerate, attentive and very pleasant to work with. read more

This is arguably one of the better restaurants in West Chester. They have a ton of outdoor seating however when we arrived it was pouring rain so no one could sit outside. Even with the inability to seat people outside the hostess was able to seat our party immediately. Our server was absolutely terrific, great sense of humor and really knew her stuff. The cheese board was average but the octopus appetizer was absolutely terrific as well as both of our entrees. Overall I would recommend Teca to just about anybody. Had a very bad experience at Teca Saturday evening. Party of six, one of the dinners never arrived. The response was awful. First it wasn't even acknowledged, then when our waitress finally did show up, there was another lengthy delay as to what happened. Our friend was offered a salad as a hold me over. Also a manager never once came over to our table to offer any apology or assistance. 45 min later the missing dinner arrived which at that point we needed to leave as we had tickets to a show. The waitress seemed to be very put out that the dinner was refused. The dinner which you claimed would be ready in a few min then kept insisting they were cooked to order which takes 15 min, which never came out of kitchen until 45 min later. We have been to Teca a few times really like the small plates, antipasto type dishes, will not go their for dinner agaIn. Also the staff more than once had a little meeting regarding our table, which was offensive. Who ever the manager is totally passed the buck on this entire mishap and after all said and done our bill was over 200 dollars. So not worth it. read more

My wife and I go to Teca quite a bit. It is our "spot". Robert, Babo and the staff couldn't be better hosts. But then again they learn from the best, Alberto! The family wines are top notch!! Our favorite is the Argante and primo Bacio. If your looking for a small plate that complements a bottle of wine, try the stuffed olives or split the gnocchi entree. Simply the best! read more

I ate there last night. I usually love the food. Great outdoor seating. I ordered the pesto shrimp and it was horrible. Couldn't even find the shrimp. What a disappointment. My friend ordered a beer twice and never received it and had to walk to the bar to get it. Our waiter was terrible. Our water glasses were always empty. Definitely are better Italian places to go to for the money, but the food is very good and the atmosphere makes it better! Service: Service is usually great, even when busy. Had a problem one time when the bill was $60 and I gave a $100 bill to the waitress and I guess she thought that $40 was her tip and did not come back with it, and tried to avoid us until I tracked down a manager... I would recommend, but I do think they need to lower their prices a bit. Very disappointing for the price!! When I made the reservation I requested a table not a booth as we had 6 in our party. We were sat in a booth in the bar which was really loud and tough to have a conversation. They were busy so I let it slide. We were not served bread and our house salads were below average for the price.I found it curious there are no prices on the on line menu and I understand why now ..4 out of 6 of our dinners were average at best. 2 of us had the specials that were really delicious[reason for 2 stars] but one of them was prepared in incorrectly [sauce was suppose to be on the side and it wasn't ] The waiter apologized up and down, blamed himself but didn't offer to resolve it.To be honest I wouldn't have sent it back because it took such a long time for the entries to come out but it would have been nice to have had the option.. This restaurant has fallen short of my expectations. I have visited Teca many times for lunch through the past 6 or so years. Sometimes, just for a cocktail and chatting with friends. However, I finally have decided to take this place off my list of places to go. The owner Roberto (Rob), never understood what it takes to be an owner/manager. I have walked past this man numerous times, he looks at any patron, yet doesn't have the courtesy to nod and say hello. Nor thank you when you leave. I cannot begin to guess what he is like to work with/for. Yes, I have enjoyed myself at this restaurant in the past. Roberta, the manager/owner, is the rudest person I ever have encountered. We had reservations for dinner for a party of 10. Upon arrival, we were sitted in a beautiful setting. However, 10 minutes after our seating, we were asked to move to accommodate a party of 60. We agreed to move but then learned that we were being seated outside, with the pending rain coming! Roberta also informed me that someone in my party called to say they would be 45 minutes late! THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE LIE as my entire party was there! I informed Roberta that we did not want to sit outside and he basically told me too bad. He cursed at me in front of other customers and berated me outside telling me to "leave if I didn't like it". I made these reservations almost a month in advance of the WCU graduation. Roberta was stressed because of the crowd. He could not control his emotions under the stress of the restaurant being busy. RUDE, HORRIBLE Person. Because of the graduation, we had no where else to go so we sat outside. HOWEVER, the rain came and we had to run for cover, not being able to finish our dessert. Of course, Roberta was nowhere to be around at that time. Later learned from employees, who apologized for his behavior, that he does this all the time. He is rude and I can't agree more. Andrew, our server, was very good. I felt bad for him because he knew the situation that happened. Food was good but way over priced. NIGHTMARE!! Teca needs to figure out if they are a restaurant or a bar. Last night my family, including my 2 kids ate dinner there. We had a 6:30 reservation. By 7:30, the bar was full of drunks who were loudly cursing. Patrons were walking out, and management, including the owner did NOTHING about it. I guess the bar tab money is more important. I have been to Teca many times and it has been great but the main dining room is loud and cramped, but the food was good so we kept coming back. So we booked my Dad's birthday dinner where they promised me a private room where everyone can talk, and my grandparents could hear us. I confirmed the reservation that morning for the private area which the manager noted would be ready. We got to the restaurant and we were right in the center of the bar area with a table thrown on the end of the booth. People were running into us and we could hardly hear our waitress. We made the decision to leave and as we left I told the manager what I confirmed with the owner for a private area. His response "Well the restaurant is a loud place on a Saturday night" not once did he apologize or try to right the situation, and as we were leaving he told the host "Okay, let's get that table turned around, there are plenty of quality customers waiting" (the waiting area and outside was empty). I have never had a worse experience with management in my life and for that reason my family and I will NEVER be back! Kindness goes a long way! read more

Seriously - what a great lunch. The decor was quite nice, the atmosphere calm and inviting. Met a friend for lunch and besides struggling for parking in West Chester at mid-day - no complaints. I tried the Risotto of the Day - a seafood dish with Mahi Tips, Seaweed and a touch of lemon to brighten it up. Absolutely Yummy. Don't remember what my friend got but I do remember laughing when she said she wanted to lick the plate clean! We had some fantastic hummus and olives to start that were OMG delicious. The waiter understood that we were having a leisurely "catching up lunch" and while attentive, didn't make us crazy or glare at us to hit the road. This place is well worth the parking hassles. A public garage is about 2 blocks away so if you don't want to drive in circles waiting for a meter to open up, it's a good option. I think the cost to park in the end for a LONG lunch was $3.25. All in all a terrific option for a lunch date. Don't know how they handle a dinner crush but the professional folks stopping in for lunch didn't seem to have any hassles. Yay Teca! read more

Teca is all class. I love the food, the wine, the ambiance.. its definitely a standout amongst West Chester's many Italian restaurants. While Teca does offer a selection of traditional mom and pop dishes, they also serve modern european style tappas made with super high quality imported ingredients, and fresh bread. Of the restaurants in West Chester this is my least favorite. The food and especially drinks are overpriced for the quality and quantity. The service has been inconsistent at best. I had a foreign object(a food sticker) in my crab napoleon and the waiter's response when I pointed it out was "what do you want me to do about it?" He then proceeded to take my fork and fished the sticker out and walked away. This was just laughably rude. On a second occasion I walked up to the hostess stand to be seated and was rudely greeted by Rob the owner. He barely looked up at us and basically grunted at us. He then proceeded to yell at his hostess about the lack of menus at the front.
