i've been here a lot. i used to consider it my favorite nearby tea spot. in person they usually make my drink great. it tastes delicious.
but i've ordered it on postmates at least 10 times maybe 20, and out of all of those times i've received it correctly only once or twice. i ignored it for a while assuming it was just a mistake, but it feels like a mean joke at this point.
sometimes it comes with no ice, sometimes wrong milk, sometimes its so bitter and flavorless i can't drink it (even though i specify 100% sweetness), even though i specify no boba, one time they gave me half of the cup full of boba. not even a normal amount of boba, they gave me an excessive amount of 2 different types of boba!! (normal amount of boba covers a little over the bottom; the amount they gave me filled literally half of the cup, i'll leave a picture for reference). that's why its starting to feel like a mean joke.
today on postmates i received a completely different tea. straight up a different kind of tea. i was so mad i bought an uber to just buy it in person to get my drink since they usually make it right in person. it's been a long night i really just wanted a tea to make me feel better. they made it different, but wrong AGAIN. second time in one night. i can't be paying $7 every time for a tea that tastes like shit.
i'm not even just being picky. like i said, i've been here a lot and it used to taste delicious and i'd get this same tea all of the time. i know what it tastes like because i've drank it often. its not just a little off, i have very clear specifications on my drink, it's hard to mess up.
i'm at the point now where i'm about to give up on this place. i let it slide for a while because i was giving the workers the benefit of the doubt, but at this point it feels intentional. it feels like a mean joke that's being played on me. it seriously doesn't feel like an accident anymore. i've wasted so much money, time, and effort at this point.
i spent $10 on an uber tonight, $7 in person, and $12 on postmates. i paid close to $30 tonight just to receive 1 tea to make me feel better. yet they made it wrong twice in one night. it doesn't feel accidental anymore. i started tearing up when i got back home because it genuinely feels like they're messing my order up on purpose despite how much money i'm wasting on their business. it literally feels like a mean joke at this point. emphasis on the mean.
if the workers were nicer and made the drink right, i'd leave a glowing review with 5 stars. it really is delicious when made right. i used to consider it my favorite nearby tea shop. i never thought i'd be leaving a bad review. in fact this is the first review i've ever left. but its been a long time since they've made it right. its a huge waste of my money and time at this point. i'm probably going to just give up this place because of this.
one last thing about the workers, i saw someone else mention this in their review, but they definitely just sit on their phones and talk until somebody walks in. again, i used to not care before, but after all this shit i'm throwing them under the bus. read more
