Came here for a quick bite. Truth be told I've never had a hot pot before, so I was eager to try. THe menu was pretty straight forward. You pick your hot pot, spice level, and side (pasta/rice), and of course you can add on items like dumplings, fish, etc. I opted for the beef hot pot, no spice, no seafood, no cilantro and a side of dumplings. The presentation is so fun. Your hot pot comes out with its own burner and is chock full of things like tofu, crispy tofu skin, vermicelli, corn, cabbage, beef, etc. I will say that this was entirely too much food for myself, and if I went back to a place like this, I'd def think about sharing with someone. The dumplings were good, the broth was rich, and the beef was thinly sliced. Service was great. Our server came over multiple times to check on us, refill our drinks, etc.

Taiwanese supreme hot soup

Love hot pot and the inside of this restaurant is so cute with their decoration! I came with a friend on Sunday around 3:30pm and it wasn't busy at all. There were lots of seating available and I love how big and wide their tables are. If you come during lunch time from 12-4pm you can get a free sweet tea! I got the green tea and it was yum! I got the Taiwanese supreme hot soup with the very spicy level but I could have gotten flaming spicy. It was spicy but definitely doable compared to the spicy levels at other hot pot restaurants like boiling point. Keep in mind to carefully read the description of what's in each hot pot because the Taiwanese supreme hot soup already comes with instant noodles in it. But you can choose another side for free and choose pick between rice or vermicelli. Of course I went with rice because I didn't want double noodles duh! It was a good portion and it was yummy and satisfying to sip on that hot broth. However, I will say that the broth was not as flavorful as boiling point or other one pot hot pot restaurants I've had which is my reason for giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. The customer service was great! The workers kept checking in on us to ask if we wanted more broth. I would come here again if I lived in Davis!

Seafood Tasty Pot

1/10/2026 Met up with some friends half way for lunch in Davis and we settled on Tasty Pot! Arrives at opening behind another group. Seated right away. Host helped explain each menu item. Most broth is a pork base soup and there are a few options when you choose large but lunch special was all pork base with exception for vegetarian healthy option which comes with a veggie broth. This made our decision easy so we all went with the seafood tasty pot option. We ordered 2 and decided to share. My friends shared theirs and my son and I shared ours. Each pop for lunch comes w/complimentary cup of green or black tea. We chose green tea and my son loved that it was sweetened. They provided those 2 beverages immediately. We had to ask for water a couple of times. We ordered apps to start chicken wings and curly fries seasoned with salt/pepper. They were out of stock on sweet potato fries. We also grabbed the fried fish roe balls. We weren't given plates or anything to share the apps. :( Curly Fries and fish roe balls came out first. Both were hot and yummy. The chicken wings were shocking in size. They were tiny! The size of your pinky! I never knew they could be this small. We finally received our water after I asked again for them after receiving apps. Our pots came out next and we were given 2 bowls. We had to ask for 2 more bowls so we can eat. You are given option of rice or vermicelli noodles, we both chose noodles. Tasty pot was filled with quite a bit of Napa cabbage. Flavor wise as ok. Our friends ordered medium and we orders mild but both didn't have any kick at all. We opted to pass on desserts so we can grab it elsewhere. Company was the best part of this meal! Service was spotty and ambiance was ok! They did come by and ask if we wanted more broth. We had to ask for extra napkins. If you want anything, make sure to ask for it. Parking wasn't too difficult. Most were 2 hour limits.

The prices were very reasonable for hotpot as I could easily get two portions from one order. Curry Flavor Hot Pot, Mild w/ Rice - 9/10 Good amount of spice and variety. I love the little pockets of flavor from the meat to the fish and vegetables. Would definitely get it again. Beef Sizzling, Mushroom, Udon - 7/10 The beef was well seasoned, but I would've liked more. The noodle quantity was also kind of low. Tastes very oniony.

Beef hot pot

Came here with a friend after craving some boiling point ( but there is none here :( ) and got the medium spice, beef hot pot with a side of dumplings. Thought the soup was OK because it was slightly watered down and was not spicy AT ALL for a second to highest spice level - I have low spice tolerance. The hot pot came with some beef, clams, vermicelli, varieties of fish tofu, bean curd, mushrooms, a tomato, a side of rice, lots of cabbage, and a corn slice (?). Towards the end of the soup, there was a lot of crumbs, likely the seasoning which was unappealing when sipping the soup (almost like a sandy texture). On the other hand, the sauces provided on the side: chili fermented soybean, soy garlic, and chili oil, were really good paired with the hot pot. On the other hand, the service was great. Staff was very attentive and came over a lot to ask about needs. My friend lost her fire mid way and the staff was very accommodating to restart the fire for her. the food also came out really quick!

I am not someone who usually writes reviews. But i felt i had to for this place. I love hot food, especially seafood, and i always look for good places to eat.i heard there was a hot pot restaurants in Davis,so i decided to visit. Naturally, i ordered the seafood hot pot,but the food was incredibly disappointing. For the price, there was barely anything to eat. It come with exactly one mussel, two shrimps, one thin slice of squid, one small Lobster tail, one fishball, small octopus, and just a massive amount of napa cabbage. I tried to be okay with the portion, but the real disappointment came at the end.when i peeled the Lobster, it smelled completely spoiled and had a dark, blackish color.it was absolutely inedible. I waited for someone to check on our table but no one ever come. When it was time to pay,i showed them the spoiled Lobster, but no one even offered an apology. I paid the full amount and left a tip because i wasn't looking for a discount or a free meal. I just wanted someone to explain how they could serve food in that condition to a customer, especially for a $26.99 dish. I will never be going back to this restaurants.

This place is good, if you've never left Davis and tried other Tasty Pots first in Roseville. The ambiance here is not bad. The neon lights are definitely cool. Every wall should have neon lights! Service was not bad and our tasty pot and sizzle beef add on came out quick! They did not lose any of my order. Now for the actual food review! The Taiwan pot has ramen and is properly spiced. The Japan miso pot is cool bc there are crab legs. Both came out piping hot. And there is a lot of variety. The sizzle beef was ordered bc we wanted more meat and more rice. Also if you get rice instead of noodles for the sizzle beef, you'd get crunchy burnt rice from the teppan pan. 2 tasty pots and one sizzle beef was enough for 2 adults and two tweens. Though I think the Roseville one has more meat, flavor, and an attached boba store. Maybe that's why I liked the Roseville location so much bc if you buy tasty pot food and a boba, you'd get 10% off! Either way it's worth checking out. Above average B++

Not a shared hotpot in the traditional sense, but still worth a visit. Soups are ordered individually. Went with my friends and we each got something different: Thai curry broth, kimchi dumpling, beef, and Taiwanese style. All servings were generous and full of a variety of pork, seafood, and veggies. Only issue was that the booth seats were a bit low and the bowls were served on an elevated platform (so it was a bit hard to eat). Other than that the food itself was great! Taking my fam here when they visit.

This tasty pot location is subpar. Broth is lacking flavor and super watery. I asked for medium and they basically gave no spice. Also NO TOMATO POT WHICH IS MY FAVE CRIESSSS (but it's okay haha). Service was fine and plenty of seating indoors. Good casual spot. But definitely prefer other locations imo.

Jessica S.

The ambiance is nice and the servers were all very kind and helpful when we came in with a big party. As far as the food, there was a general consensus that the broths were unfortunately lacking in flavor. The portion size is really big though. Not one of us finished our whole meal. One of my friends got the sizzling plate and she really annoyed that! Overall it was a good experience but I do believe there are other places I'd prefer to go first.

Japanese Miso Hot Pot
Foodie1234 E.

It's a cute hangout for a hotpot! The staff are nice and helpful. We got Beef Hot Soup and Japanese Miso Hot Soup! The presentation is so awesome with its Aztec-looking hot pot that you can turn off anytime. This gizmo keeps your soup hot throughout. The components in the soup are hefty-filling, delicious and yummy! The soup base is really good.

Tasty Pot is one of my all time favorite hot pot places, I prefer how the pots and soups are already made. This location used to be Davis Sushi buffet way back in the day. Some people prefer their own hot pot because they don't like all of the meats and veggies in their soup that long and cooked but I personally like how tasty pot tastes. This location doesn't have small containers like other ones to make your sauces. We came here on Friday night flying back from the Sac airport upon closing. There are parking spots right up front but they also were turning people away right at closing and take out only. These bowls are shareable, I like to go for #1 Beef Hot Soup Medium with rice. I like to dip my meats and veggies in a combination of the hoisin and hot sauce. It was my parents first time so I got them healthy veggie hot soup, no spice. I wish I got them vermicelli as opposed to rice to give them more noodles. They were impressed with how they add more broth into the soup. My parents enjoyed it. My dad also got a flavored iced tea and my mom got a hot ginger lemon tea. We also ordered a side of sesame balls. The servers were pretty busy and it is a pretty tiny spot.

Curry hot pot

Taiwanese style hot pot is always nice when the quality is good because you get a huge variety of protein and veggies in one bowl. It's very macro friendly for anyone who's eating healthy too. The vibe of this spot is very nice with the bar area and neon lights. Curry hot pot: B+ The broth was very good, actually has a strong enough curry flavor. Good portions, but I feel like it was too heavy on the fish cake items. They have soy sauce, garlic and miso to make your own sauce to dip meat in. This was great with the pork in my pot. Service was friendly, but I stopped by towards the end of the night so it was hard to get their attention since everyone was cleaning and putting things away. Overall though this is a good spot for hotpot if you're in the mood for it.

We got the diamond tier this time instead of gold, and that opened up appetizers. This was perfect for my two young kids who love chicken karaage and gyoza. The appetizers are made fresh and take a minute to come out, but it's worth it. I guess if I had to make a recommendation here, it is that the little cup of sauce that is built into the plate just kind of spills onto the food. Not the end of the world, but maybe a small ramekin would be better. Anyway, gyoza, karaage, fried tofu, shrimp tempura, fish balls with roe, we're all great. There are drinks that come with the diamond tier can sodas, lychee lemonade, Thai tea, and more. The service was awesome this time. The severs were very attentive and working hard. All of our needs were taken care of really quickly and shabu ingredients came from the back at lightning speed. They also had more ice cream flavors this time, which my kids loved (uh hello, cookies and cream is the best). Ambiance is always nice there. I know that when I'm eating at a hotpot place I'm always looking for good AC when inside since the boiling broths can make things uncomfortable, especially in a Davis summer. This place has a nice cool dining room, which I appreciate. I don't toss around 5 stars, but this was definitely a wonderful experience worthy of such. Thanks again for the hospitality!

My kid mentioned they usually are very pack and people would dine outdoor, but I guess we arrived early so there wasn't any wait time. Ordered few items, food came out very fast and the tastes are not bad at all. Beef Fried Rice Noodles: How do you differentiate if this dish is good or not, it is about how much excessive oil that's left on the plate. The stir fried was good, not too greasy, and they marinate the meat well. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, this place's meat was good. Only they could stir fried with even higher eat to create more "wok air" Sticky Rice Stick with Brown Sugar: First time trying this dish, so not sure what to expect. But it does seem to be a dessert to me, my comment would be higher if the rice stick is more chewy. Hot & Sour Shredded Potato: This is common dish from northern part of China. The way they prepared was awesome. The potato was not starchy and the seasoning is just right. A bit greasy but this is actually my favorite dish! Shrimp and Pork with Chives Dumplings: Meat is fresh and dumpling wrap is great too. Each dumpling size is not too big and wasn't torn. Taste is okay but maybe try another filling if I visit again. The menu was huge with lots of pictures and options. They put a thing of water at the table, which I appreciated. We both got the Chinese beer, and we both ordered lamb. He got the farmhouse lamb, it was like a stirfry lamb with onions and bell pepper in medium spicy. For medium it wasn't too spicy and it was nice and savory. I ordered a chef special, Lamb Slices with Enoki Mushrooms, mild. Although one dish was medium, and the other mild, they both felt about the same spiciness and I really feel it's because the lamb slices with mushrooms was like a hot pot and so the chili was spicier in here since it was brewing in the broth. The lamb slices with mushrooms was also very savory. The broth was very umami and opaque not thin at all. It also had glass noodles at the bottom of the dish. Tons of mushroom tons of lamb. We felt like we got a good amount of food for the price. And the lamb and both dishes had that good flavor of lamb, not that cheap lamb flavor and the lamb in both was very tender and soft. We also got the pork dumplings, these were obviously made in house. The dough was homemade and the filling both tasted homemade. We each also got a side of white rice. The total before tip was $95, this was for the two lamb dishes, the appetizer, the two sides of rice, and the four beers. It's obviously a hit. We got there at a good time, but by the time we left, it was a full house. It also seems like they do a lot of deliveries. They had a decent looking bar area with wine and other alcohol, I'm not quite sure what. They had three choices of beer, corona, Heineken, and the Chinese beer that we got. I also like that they had candles out, I'm not sure if they sell these, but they were gathered at the end of the bar. They also had walnuts and dry mango that looked for sale. Looking at everybody else's tables too, all the dishes looked amazing. We're so happy that we took a chance and just tried this place out on a whim! It made for a really great date night.

Great spicy food and friendly staff. Food (10/10) - The food here is AMAZING! Perfect balance of spice to flavor and every single bite is electric. The sichuan numbing pepper in the Chongqing soup was DELICIOUS. Mix it with some of the white rice and you have a dish all by iteself. The chicken itself had a nice chew and was very fragrant. Loved the texture and flaovr of the vermicelli; nice bounce to the noodles while soaking in all the spicy soup. My one complaint would be that they have soft bones (sign of long boiling time) so be careful of that! Also got the spicy stir-fried pork kidney... don't diss it 'til you try it. Super good, with that nice bit of chew. Take a bite of pepper, kidney, and white rice and BOOM! Perfect bite. **Recommendation: Rice is a key component for the dishes here. Without rice, everything will be too spicy, too savory, and overall too overwhelming. The rice is the thing that helps tie everything together (as it frequently is) Service (8/10) - Good service; nothing notable. Nice people and I think most of them speak Mandarin. Service and seating was also fast. Order of things to come out of the kitchen was a bit strange: soup for the chicken, rice, stir-fry, chicken. Honestly, not that big of a problem but just decided to comment. Price (8/10) - The price here is a bit on the pricier side; $54 for 2 but there were some leftovers (had to make my own rice though). Some of the dishes are more worth than others. The Chonqing chicken was $25 but you got a large bowl of chicken with soup and vermicelli. On the other hand, the stir-fry for $20 was notably padded with vegetables and I would say a majority of the dish was not the kidney. At the very least, the taste of the food compensates. However, this place is likely not a college go-to. Overall, great restaurant that I will be coming back to again (maybe with my parents LOL) or at the very least, would come with a large group as it is more fitting for family style. Highly recommend!

I sat at the sushi bar. It took quite a long time for someone to come over and take my order. And it also took a little while for my sushi and sashimis to come out. One thing that grosses me out a little bit is that my soy sauce dish is oily. But I can't wave anyone down so I used it anyways.. The sashimis are fresh. And they give really big pieces too so it is great value. The Madai sashimi still have scales on them tho that was a little surprising in texture. The nigiris are in massive pieces. Which again I appreciate the value. However, the uni was visibly dark in color in some piece. I thought it might be a regional character (cuz uni from different place can have different colors). But upon first bite it tasted a little stinky which is not how it's supposed to taste. To be honest, I would rather have less uni and smaller nigiri if I can just have fresh fish. When eating raw fish freshness is a huge priority. This dinning experience too way longer than expected. And I'm very disappointed in the freshness of an expensive ingredient. I do hope they improve and succeed as it's been in Davis for so long.
