Taro milk tea. Pork banh mi sandwich

Excellent food, service and a quaint place for lunch. This place is clean and very attentive. I was able to order right away and got my order in no time.

This is the spot in town for an affordable banh mi. Combination banh mi: A- This was around $10 and tastes great. It's not huge but the taste is on point. Wrapped nicely and convenient to eat. Easy ordering online or via kiosk! Artichoke tea: C This was a popular drink on the menu so I had to try it. I love artichokes however, not so much when it's for a sweet drink. Definitely an acquired taste.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - lunch/dinner THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in a plaza off Russell Blvd and in between Sycamore Ln and Anderson Rd - located in the same plaza as Trader Joe's THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - loved the Eiffel Tower - decent amount of seating (high chair, booth, and standalone tables and chairs) - ordered via kiosk - texted when your order is ready for pickup THE MENU: - Paris Banh Mi - French Patisserie - Specialty Beverages WHAT WE ORDERED: - Special Combination Baguette - Shredded Chicken Baguette THE TASTE: - Special Combination Baguette hit the spot for my friend - Shredded Chicken Baguette had too much pate, but it was fine CUSTOMER SERVICE: - minimal since we ordered through the kiosk and when we went to the counter to pick up our order it was sitting there in a bag

Came to Paris Banh Mi for a late afternoon meal after a day of exploring downtown Davis. This shop is located in a shopping plaza on the corner of a large open courtyard. It was a hub for college kids to hang out and chill after school. The inside is bright with lots of seating (inside and outside). Paris Banh Mi serves banh mi, but also pho, desserts, and boba drinks. We ordered via the kiosk and barely had any human contact except for when we picked up our food. The kiosk claims it will text you when the order is ready, but we waited pretty long outside and never received anything. My friend and I ordered: - Banh mi dac biet - This was well-stuffed with lots of pate. Maybe I'm deprived of banh mis around me, but this was really delicious. - Banh mi with chicken floss/shredded chicken - My friend said this was just aight. I asked for extra veggies on the side and noticed the pickled daikon and carrots were more on the sour side. Overall a decent banh mi spot but it doesn't hold a candle to Duc Huong.

Another new food option at The Davis Collection! I was just passing by and happened to notice their grand opening. I quickly got in line for the kiosk and tried a few things from their menu. Oh, and there's a promotion for 10% off this weekend. I got the special combination but instead of the usual baguette, I tried it with a croissant. It was smaller than I thought, and I'm leaning toward preferring a traditional banh mi more. The steak pho with fresh noodles was decent, but nothing to rave about. Food took almost half an hour to come out, though I'm not sure whether it's because their kitchen and operations are still new. Overall, prices seem kind of high given what you can get around the Davis area.

TLDR: Spacious and modern spot with fast service, but the pho lacked depth and the meat quality was disappointing. Not my top pho choice in Davis. --------- I visited on their grand opening day when they were offering 10% off your order. Ordering is done through a kiosk, and the interior has a contemporary feel with lots of light colored design elements. The space itself is quite large, with plenty of indoor seating and an outdoor porch area, though the porch does not get much light. I ordered the special pho, which was priced at $18.95 before tax and tip. The food came out fairly quickly, and the portion size was generous. One thing to note is that you have to grab your own utensils, as they are not brought out with the food. Unfortunately, the pho broth lacked depth and richness, and I had to add quite a bit of sauce to boost the flavor. There were not enough sauce trays available, so I had to wait until someone else was finished using theirs. I also wished there was chili oil available to add some heat to the dish. The noodles themselves were fine, and there was a good amount of them. The meat, however, was quite tough, and the rib did not have much meat on it, which was disappointing given the price. Overall, I found this place a bit underwhelming, especially compared to other pho spots in Davis like Sit Lo Saigon. There is potential here, but the food needs improvement for me to choose this over other options in the area.

Showed up on a rainy morning looking for something warm to eat. They were open a little earlier than their hours state and I headed in, ordered at the self serve kiosk, and sat down. There was nobody else inside, but it was comfortable and inviting, though the music was a little loud for 10 am. Something that I found interesting was that when I ordered, you could specify less/more cilantro and onions in your pho. I went with the standard amount, but appreciate the level of customization you can do. The food came out about 15 minutes after I ordered, which isn't too bad, but could have been faster given I was the only customer. It was flavorful and light, though a bit more cinnamon-forward than other pho places in town. Overall, it's a pretty standard place with standard prices. I would come back a little later in the day when they are more prepared for customers.

Lychee milk tea with crystal boba

I came here at 9 pm (we thought they closed at 10). my brother and I ordered at the kiosk, but it froze so we ordered at the counter. I think the staff forgot or misunderstood because I received a lychee milk tea with 100 percent sugar instead of zero sugar. They were closing at 930 pm that night instead of 10 because of maintenance. We were not given boba straws with our drinks. Maybe we were supposed to get the straws ourselves so it could have been our own fault as well. When we remembered, we were already out the door and the door was locked. Luckily I had boba straws at home. I felt a little rushed. I also ordered the Nutella cheesecake. It was ok. The ambiance is modern. The AC was soooo cold. I'm sure I will appreciate that in the summer though! Haha. I will give them another chance and not come so late next time.

We've been to Paris Bahn Mi twice now and we appreciated both experiences. We've tried the chicken pho, special pho, combination special Bahn mi, chicken Bahn mi, egg rolls, and Beef Pate Chaud. The pho broth was flavorful, I didn't feel the need to add anything to it. The special pho only comes in large but the meat portion was very generous, it was worth it. The chicken pho was also good but the amount of noodles in it was rather superfluous--the noodle to broth ratio could've been better. My husband had the Bahn Mi (combo and chicken). He said the combo Bahn mi had a savory sauce but the chicken Bahn mi was just okay and didn't leave an impression. Meanwhile, our toddler had the egg rolls and the beef meat pie and he seemed to have enjoyed both! It was packed the first time we went but we were served our meals quickly. It was relatively clean and seating was decent for how small the establishment was.

It's nice we have another chain that opened in Davis. More options. We walked in around noon on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. Maybe it was also because it was a long weekend so everyone could have been gone. Some reviews said the food took long to come out. Ours didn't this time. I ordered the meatball pho and my colleagues got some banh mis. The meatball pho was pretty good. The soup was flavorful. I think for what this place is and what they serve, it's pretty good. Viet coffee was good too. I really wanted to try the pate chaud, but next time. My colleagues said the banh mis were also pretty good. Overall, I would come back to try the other items on their menu.

I got myself a grilled pork sandwich and it quite authentic and filling. I asked for extra cilantro and less mayo, but I think they flipped those two. Atmosphere is nice and chill. Good music. Nice solid chairs. All in all it was pleasant and tasty. I'll likely be back.

Cute place and nice ambiance. They sell more than just vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi). I came in to try their banh mi only. I got the special combo on a baguette. You can choose 2 other types of bread. I asked for my bread to be toasted. I ordered takeout and don't live very far. I thought my sandwich was going to be warm when I got home. My bread had a nice crunch as if it was toasted but it was cold. It was a pretty big stuffed sandwich. I only ate half of it. The veggies taste fresh. The meats were good. I love pate in my banh mi and it was pretty good. Im glad to have a decent banh mi in Davis so I dont have to go to Sac. Now that I know their pate is good, I would like to try the pate chaud.

    Steak Pho

Came on the grand opening day (around 4pm) as they were offering 10% off the entire order. Tried the large pho with steak and jasmine green tea. There are options to sit outside or indoors which make great options for spring in Davis. The order took about 15 minutes to come out after ordering despite the amount of people in the restaurant. The broth was flavorful but the steak was a little chewy. Will come back to try the banh mis and other drinks (if I can ever find parking again).

Our two drinks with toppings came out to be $10 and ready within 5-7 minutes of ordering. We ordered their Teabo Signature Black Milk Tea with boba and a Custom Blended Fruit Tea with crystal boba. I wanted to try their boba for sure since all of the reviews mentioned how divine it is. And I was happily surprised with the quality of their boba so late into the night. The texture was still very soft and chewy, not too sweet, and the portion of the boba was generous!! The black milk tea was strong and silky, I changed the sweetness to 75% and it was perfect. The ambiance is dark, dimly lit, lots of pandas (paintings and decor) everywhere. It was really quiet when I visited, I saw a couple students working on homework. And a family enjoying boba and various finger food snacks they offer. Would definitely come back whenever I'm in the area!!

Place is adorned with symbols, cartoons and slightly odd translations, many of them repeats but amusing to read while dining. We got a couple dumpling dishes and sat down. Service is odd but it works. There are touchscreens and there's also a regular cashier. "eat with love, happy wife happy life" Hope that doesn't offend you. Probably something lost in translation so relax with the sensitivity. Ambiance vibes were minimal because I think it's summer break. If it got much busier (which I'm fairly certain it will) there would be less space to move around, obviously, but I think folks would still pile in. Dumplings were tasty and one came with a dipping sauce. They appeared to have the array of umami sauces (salty-soy, sweet-chili, spicy-cock, bitter-vinegar) along with a shaker of paprika? Don't cry about the dishware. Paper bowls for everyone! I'm sure they had forks somewhere but we never saw them. "Tea won't be drunk, but the person will" HUH? Never tried those "Freshly Made Egg Waffle" things so figured, why not. Got some chocolate guys that look like oversized bubble wrap. Thought it'd be better. Thought maybe there'd be something INSIDE the bubble. Nope. Was just kinda meh. "Sorry we won't able to have discount, but you might able to get the whole store if you hit on the boss" gives off harassment vibes. Hopefully it's just lost in translation. Chicken Cutlet with meat sauce over rice: if we are getting at least two items, this is for sure one of them. Excellent flavor on the peppery batter on the juicy chicken and the meat sauce and pickled veggies are an excellent combination. 3. Zha Jiang Mien: First time trying it. Two of us liked it.
