Mendocino Farms has often times been a go to for us when traveling around the many areas we tend to. Lunch options are great, and the food has always been fresh and well prepared. This specific location has a very challenging parking lot. Interior seating as well as outdoor seating with umbrellas. Service was friendly and helpful. On this occasion we enjoyed the Golden State Cobb salad and the Prosciutto chicken sandwich. Both were great.

We met old neighbors for lunch at Mendocino Farms. None of us had been there before. Their menu is an electronic screen and a couple of items said "Sold Out" including both soups covering their names, but the cashier said they had the soup and the menu hasn't been updated. Really? You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. I ordered a half "Not So Fried" Chicken sandwich and a side of their Spicy Curried Couscous. My husband ordered The Farm Club. His sandwich came on seeded honey whole wheat bread that did not hold up to the ingredients. He had pieces of bread and filling all over his platter. It was a bit of a mess. My sandwich came with a side of "golden BBQ sauce" and "mustard remoulade." I tasted them and they were both quite tasty, but did not add either to my sandwich as it was already really moist. The couscous had a nice kick to it. Our friends seemed satisfied with their choices, a salad for her and a wrap for him. It was very noisy inside so made it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation. And let's talk about the parking, it's absolutely atrocious. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday after the UC Davis quarter had ended. Luckily we were in our EV and were able to get one of the low emission vehicle spaces, though many of those spaces were taken by gas guzzlers. By noon cars were circling and circling looking for spaces. After lunch we walked over to Trader Joe's and the parking situation was even worse. When the several remaining food places open for business soon, it's only going to be worse. Because of the parking situation, we probably will not return to Mendocino Farms and The Collection, though I've already made plans to go there (a different restaurant) for lunch this Thursday with a friend. Just not worth our time.

When you're trying to eat right a little bit healthier this is a great option! We placed an order online, it wasn't quite ready when I got there.. but not because anyone was slacking... everyone was hustling inside. This place was super busy and super clean. The manager was working her tail off behind the counter right along side everyone else... and everyone was pleasant. This was a great experience for my first time at the Davis location. The salad I had was good... not sure I'm a fan of the crunchy quinoa but I still enjoyed it. I was told the mango Thai salad is delicious so I will try that next time. Great experience!

Happy to see Mendocino farms here! Came in on a Wednesday morning before the lunch rush. Greeted upon entry, our server, Kim, was awesome. Space is clean and open. Service was quick and food was delicious, as per usual for this chain. 'Not so fried chicken' sandwich is still my go to. Fresh ingredients, decent portion. Side-note: I do want to start some sort of petition to bring back that vegan Reuben sandwich though, that was sooo good. If in the area, stop by and enjoy. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Parking does it a bit wild during the lunch rush, be warned.

This space is a great place to have convos and have transcendent dialogue. The food is not bad. It won't gouge out the money from your wallet. I think this place can give jacks or paneras a run for their money! Check 'em out!! Service is friendly. Solid A--

FINALLY a good fast casual option in Davis!!! After living in SoCal but moving to NorCal I was really happy when we got a Mendocino Farms in Sacramento ...and now a Davis location!! The parking lot is annoying so coming during lunch hour is a parking nightmare but oh well. The food is solid and I hope they can keep up business. Love the veg protein options.

Been recommended a lot to us bumpy friends so glad it has opened locally. Location and parking are great. Staff member helping us was friendly and patient as we were deciding what to order. Ended up going with the not so fired chicken sandwich and steak chimichurri sandwich. Kids Ofcourse chicken tenders. Sandwiches were delicious , we both tried each others but stuck with what we liked best. Portion size is good too. Kids meal was disappointing as didn't come with fries or chips. Will definitely check out again.

Upon entrance, I was promptly greeted by a cashier at the register. As as a first-time goer, I received plenty of suggestions that would satisfy my spicy cravings. Employees were beyond kind and patient with my navigating of the menu. The dining area was fairly clean, both inside and out, and the overall decor of the place was fairly tidy! The only knock would be one the self-serve station, where the drink aerators and utensils/straws/napkins were nearly empty. The Peruvian Steak was extremely juicy, warm, and was perfectly complimented by the spicy aji amarillo sauce. The sandwich itself wasn't too oily, cheese was freshly melted, and the potato roll tasted quite fresh. When dining at Mendocino's, you definitely get the quality that you pay for, at $15.95 (pre-tax) for the steak sandwich. Although at this price point, the sandwich was on the smaller end. Despite this, the customer service and food quality will be bringing me back soon!

It's nice, just kind of expensive especially if you're not going to a chain instead of a local business. We got salads for BOGO during their opening and they were tasty, but I don't like salads like that to pay $18. It was filling and balanced, but for $18 I'd want something I couldn't make myself. Service and seating was poor, but they had just opened and were super busy so I don't hold it against them. Probably a decent dining experience by now. Still wouldn't come back for that food!

I loved the Peruvian Steak Sandwich-- it was so juicy and I always love a little bit of a kick! (im salivating thinking about this sandwich) I wanted to try this place back in SoCal and having it so close to campus is lovely and convenient after grocery shopping. The workers were nice and lovely to talk to. There is an outdoor seating area with a foosball table and a great place to catch up with some friends. Will love to come back again!

I loved going to Mendocino Farms after school back home in SoCal, so I was really excited to see that a new location was being added to Davis! I just had a horrible move to an apartment complex across the street and dread being here, but Mendocino Farms being so close is a silver lining. The chimichurri steak sandwich was great! They did forget the extra sauce I asked for, but other than that there were no issues. I also enjoyed the lemon chicken farro soup and missed having decent green juice so close to me. There are a lot of workers, and all are very nice! I'll definitely be back

So happy to see this place in Davis. I loved their sandwiches whenever they catered a meeting at my former job. Today was my first time experiencing them on location. The place is very open, spacious and casual. Ordering at the counter is quick and efficient, but very friendly. You then scan a QR code at your table and input your table number, and your food arrives quickly, and with a smile. The waitstaff was very friendly, asking my name, how I enjoyed it and giving future recommendations. My sandwich -- the Chicken and Prosciutto-- was fantastic. Besides the ingredients mentioned in the name, it also has fresh mozzarella, pesto, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes and the delightful crunch of toasted almonds (no mayo! Yay!).

Soft Opening! The service was above and beyond, extremely attentive, warm, and welcoming. They have a fantastic training program that provides consistent experience at all the locations I've been to. Hot Honey Peach and Prosciutto sandwich, the chili aioli and hot citrus honey was delicious and the portion size of prosciutto was generous. The peach was sized thick, but surprisingly works well. Turkey Avo Salsa Verde sandwich comes toasted to perfection, love the hot turkey with the Gouda and cotija, the salsa verde that came on the side was delicious. The Farm Club is a classic sandwich, clean and fresh. The Basil Pesto Shells side salad is phenomenal, bright and flavorful pesto. The Kale and Apple Rainbow Salad is sweet and sour and crunchy, a nostalgic taste of green apple slices in elementary school but more refined. Homemade drinks wise, the pomegranate mint lemonade and the get your greens agua fresca, and the passion fruit black tea were my favorites.

I'm a sucker for cool packaging

My family and I decided to walk around and as we were about to cross the street, out of the corner of my eye I spotted an intriguing window display...of tinned fish! Be still my bougie heart and the cookbooks, totes, art prints, artisanal and local cheeses, breads and spreads! They had just moved from a smaller location and this little house front made it all the more charming. My husband laughed and said it was like Mabel's had manifested itself knowing I would be there that day. The owner (Shelley I believe) was so warm and welcoming. She was sweet to my toddler and clearly had experience as a mother/aunt/grandmother to someone because she charmed my daughter who is usually very shy. I walked away with a gorgeous tinned fish print of one of my favorite local artists, and a tote full of tinned fish from brands I enjoy and others I had not tried before. The selection is vast and really offers so much for both experienced and new converts to tinned fish. Mabel's is THE place to come to for your picnicking needs. Grab a blanket and make your way here to grab stuff. Small sized spreads make it easy, and all you need is some bread or crackers, fresh fruit and salami, chocolate and tinned fish of course!
