After reading the reviews, I wanted to give this place a try. I always wanted to try momo dumplings and was happy to find out that there was a place that specialized in it. We ordered the Pork Chili Momo, vegan Kothay, and Aloo Dum. Hubs thought that the momo was really good and juicy with the perfect amount of spice. He was shocked at how good the Aloo Dum was. He didn't expect it to be Indian curry and expected to be more Chinese curry which was powdery and not as spicy type. He was very surprised and very happy with it. The vegan Kothay was nothing special because it looked and tasted like regular dumplings. However, he was surprised it was vegan. Usually, the vegan is the most boring out of all of them. Daughter also had the Mango Lassi and she thought it was amazing. This place is a little hole in the wall but they make great food! Will definitely return when in the area! read more

Small hole in the wall shop outside of Cambridge. They were in an article in EATER and I decided to check it out. Order spicy chicken momo. They make everything fresh by hand. After I placed my order it took about 10 minute. They aren't just freezing product and throwing it in the fire! Got to watch the woman hand making the Momo too! One of my favorite Nepalese restaurants! I've tried most of the restaurants in the Greater Boston area and Tasty momo is the one I keep coming back to. I love their food and everything is delicious! Its perfect for someone who is trying Nepali food for the first time. I am also pleasantly surprised with their service - a menu full of intriguing appetizers and entrees, the "Thali" which they have introduced recently is excellent and spot on for authenticity. Freshly made dumplings served warm and juicy. I can here to dine in, it's a small place, but good enough for a quick bite. Family owned, I think it was the son that works the front desk. Surprisingly good. Now look, this is not our usual type of place, but on a grey day we occasionally stray away from Italian and wonder about other fare. So we tried tasty, and despite a fairly large language barrier were able to order assorted dumplings, of which the chicken (or at least, what we believe was chicken) was our favorite. I think the whole place seats at most 10-12 people at a time. There's one guy working in the back who makes the food to order. Expect to wait about 10 min to get your food. I saw a lot of people coming in for takeout orders. We dined in and service was friendly and food was delicious! I'd recommend the kothey, which is the pan fried dumplings and the chow mein. I'm not quite sure what the two sauces are that come with, but they both complemented the food really well. Wish I had better descriptions of the two but I favored the orange one which was almost kinda creamy. Great place to have momos. I grew up in India where these Nepalese/Himalayan delicacy is abundantly available and known. To have something similar in the Boston area really had us drooling. The food options are just a page long which is great in a way that you get what they're best at. Really small place and you can't possibly eat a romantic dinner here. More of a take out place. The momos were amazing although wasn't enough to recreate the childhood experience as such. The Chilly momo is actually really hot. So if you can't handle heat, it might not be the best choice for you. Instead go for the old fashioned ones. You won't regret. Could've given 5 stars but the sheer lack of the frills and the not so overwhelming momos compelled me to go four stars. But clearly a place to revisit in the area read more

Good food at a cheap price! We ordered the chili pork momos and the pan fried beef momos. The food took about 15-20 mins to be ready, so make sure to call ahead if you want to do takeout or don't want to wait to eat. The sauce on the chili momos was delicious, it was flavorful tomato based sauce with onions, it had just the right amount of spiciness. We preferred the pan fried momos over the steamed ones in the chili momos, wished it couldn't be pan fried momos with the chili momo sauce. But overall, a wonderful meal! read more

Bumped into this restaurant after an appointment and it legitimately changed my life! Ordered the pork and chicken momo. Both absolutely delicious! Best momos I've ever had. It was steamed to perfection and the fillings were great. So fresh tasting. I thankfully also ordered the vegetable and egg chow mein noodles- amazing, not greasy at all. And, I also had to try the special goat curry. All amazing! Both mild and spicy sauces were PERFECT! I'm sooo happy I discovered this place! I love that Tasty Momo is down the street from where I live. It's also extremely beneficial that I can call ahead to place my order and have it ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Aloo Dum ($7.15) was pretty good. A tiny bit spicy, and flavor was good. There were very large chunks of potato in it. It was the 16 oz container + another 16 oz of rice. Pork Momo ($7.58) - quite good. The wrapper wasn't homemade it seems. You can see the brand on the packages they have; for me, this was actually a plus, as the brand is the one I get for dumpling wrappers, and so it was actually to my taste. The pork filling was great; very juicy and flavorful Beef Chilli Momo ($8.99) - the sauce was better than the standard one, but the pork was better than the beef. The beef was a little too tough. The sauce on here was a good level of spice, and a little sweet. I'd recommend the pork chili momo overall. We sat there to eat and didn't call ahead; that was probably a mistake as the wait was quite long read more
