The fact that it opened up in my hometown, however, sparked some curiosity. Glad I decided to go with the instagram picture of the drink that looked appealing to me. The picture of the Ooh La La tastes as delicious as looked in the picture, the strawberry chunks were fresh, and the pineapple and coconut flavors blended together perfectly without the pineapple being too overpowering. One of my fave tea spots now! Only have been going here for a few months but they are top notch! I love their Oat milk and stevia options since other spots don't have those options and I try not to eat too much sugar. Try the Matcha Thai Tea with Oat Milk, Honey Boba, and stevia! One of my favorite boba haunts, hands down. A bit pricey, but worth the experience. My two favorite drinks are their House Coffee & their seasonal watermelon heaven slush -- oh and I love their green boba. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a boba that won't disappoint. To apologize for my experience, I was given a $5 comp card along with another free drink when I stopped by the store today. Because if you go when its closing time, theres no say that they will have any left. It also goes great with Lychee peachee drink. Get a rewards card as well. Giving 3 star because this location is a little bit off compared to other locations. They want to get it done fast so every drink is premade, and it is not fresh. At first, I was surprised because I got my order right away after finishing the payment. About the drink, it is OK, MEANING NOT TOO GOOD JUST OK TO DRINK. I love tastea but quite disappointed about the quality of Irvine location. I would recommend to make it fresh so that customers would enjoy the fresh drink not the already made milk tea with a lot of milk and the scent of tea already faded away. I ordered golden black milk tea with whole milk. However, because they already made it so they can not change it to whole milk. They said to me it is made with whole milk as always. But it is not true, I can feel the taste of creamer on my tongue. At the other locations, I have to admit that they made with whole milk, and it is really authentic. There is one thing more. The employee did not really responsive to customer's request. They just give an altitude of not care at all when I asked if they did my drink right with a whole milk replacement. I love Tastea!!! Honestly, you can't go wrong here. I've been frequenting the Costa Mesa location and once the Irvine store location opened, which is closer to me, I can't stop buying their boba. My favorite is the Sunset Peach. The sweet fruit flavors paired with the tart green mango pieces go together so perfectly! This store is also on par with service as the other locations I've been to. You order your drink, and you get your drink pretty much as soon as you've finished putting your credit card back in your wallet. The food here is also delicious. I love their karate chicken and the fries. They come out piping hot and full of flavor. Definitely be warned that the spice levels are hotter than many other places. The lowest level already has a little kick to it, so be careful with the higher up levels. The one downside to this store is the music inside is always extremely loud, and when the blenders are going full force it can be difficult to have a conversation. When I go with my friends, we always sit outside so we can hear each other. Other than that though, the drinks and food are incredible, which is really what I'm coming here for! read more

The new price increase makes the cost of a little cup of boba quite hefty, but I was so pleased with the service that I received. Tastea is one of my fave boba places in Irvine for when I'm feeling something fruity and refreshing. My go-to's are always the great white tea with honey boba or the watermelon heaven when it's in season. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the fruit teas though. (I can't speak as much to the milky drinks). I also love their popcorn chicken and appreciate that it comes in different spice levels. Crystal and Cameron were so nice and helpful. I came one night close to closing time and they immediately stopped their cleaning to greet and help me out. I haven't been to a Tastea in a while and I finally got to visit this new Irvine location! Pretty spacious with a bunch of modern furniture and waiting area for your drinks. Perfect for studying or chatting with friends. I really like the Lychee Peachee and I love their 32oz size for when I just want to share with someone. Their drinks are something that I just don't get sick of especially because they have real fruit bits in them and fresh tasting tea. I love that you can choose white tea instead for lower calories. I just wish they could do 70% sugar just because sometimes I feel like 50% is too little since their drinks are not crazy sweet in the first place. Their snacks are also great! The kitchen closes an hour earlier than when they close their store. Karate chicken with weak sauce is the way to go! Buttload of fries REALLY sells it's name - they really give a buttload of fries and it is perfectly peppery and crunchy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. I used to love Tastea back in the day and I was pretty happy to find out they were opening in Irvine. My go to is the Peach Me Sweetea with either honey boba, aloe or chia seeds. It's so refreshing. Minus 2 for this really rude barista. I was at the tastea on Barancca in Irvine today at 10:30pm. I ordered a golden milk tea with boba from the store. The guy that took my order forgot to put in boba to the order which is fine. So I kindly asked when I got my drink that I'm missing boba. The barista (an young asian black haired girl) looked at me with a weird face because it doesn't say on the ticket, then asked her higher up if I asked for boba in my drink. The guy she asks says just give it to him it's fine. She comes back to me and in rude tonality tells me next time we are going to charge you for boba. I said I know, I asked for boba at the cashier. She tells me next time to check the order. What? I don't work as the cashier, the cashier should verify the order to me if this needs to happen, but this is the cashier's job. If a customer complains that the order stated isn't given to him then just fix it. Don't tell me to repeat the order to you lol. Ridiculous. Not to mention you already got the ok from your higher up to put in boba. I heard what he said, he didn't tell you to tell me to repeat my order to you. You are not the cashier nor are you the higher up. You are the barista that was instructed to just put in boba, hold the rudeness next time to yourself and just make the drinks without the attitude. I've tried the Avocado Avalanche smoothies, Peach Me Sweetea, Bootea Shaker, and their Buttload fries. Although everything I've tried is good, I think the Peach Me Sweetea is the best and I always get it with extra fruit bits. They have two sizes, the 32 oz is crazy large but for the price I think it is worth it. The consistency of the drinks is always great every time I go, and I have been here more than 4 times. This location has about less than 10 tables for seating although there is a small bench and some outside seating too. Parking is usually not difficult to find at all. I love Tastea. But I've noticed their Thai teas are a hit or miss at this location in Irvine. Out of the three times I've got it here, they only got it right once. So a star off due to inconsistency of the drinks. Last time I got the Thai tea, it honestly tasted like the horchata milk tea (which my husband ordered, I ordered Thai tea), while his horchata milk tea tasted like slush and no flavor to it whatsoever. We realized this as we were driving and we didn't want to drive back due to the rain, so it was disappointing. The location in Costa Mesa is more consistent with the drinks. At least in my experience. I like the fast service here with mobile ordering so I definitely will be back, but I won't order the Thai tea here again read more

Fast, friendly and easy to adjust. I like that drinks can be customized from their sugar level, ice level and even switching from black and green tea. I'm generally more of a green tea person as I find it more refreshing than black tea. Points system is pretty solid, however it does expire so make sure you use it! Or go on a company run, rack up some points for yourself and use it on your next solo adventure. My go to drinks are usually the almond milk tea and the unknown. Their almond milk tea trumps a lot of other boba shops as you can actually taste the almond flavor. Change it to green tea and you'll get a more refreshing milk tea. The Unknown is one of my favorite fruit drinks and one of the reasons why I keep coming back to Tastea. All fruit drinks have some sort of real fruit chunks on the bottom. BOBA! OMG! Soft, chewy and the right size. Chicken is always juicy and crisp. Got my boyfriend hooked on it when I brought it home once. read more
