I find myself at this Target location several times a month to make work-related purchases. This store tends to have more in stock than other area locations. It's large with just about everything you need. Clean and easy to get around. read more

Spent way too much time trying to buy a TV, searched the whole back half of the store for a sales member without luck! Walked back to front & no one knows if that area is staffed but they "will try to find someone". My daughter was waiting by the TV we were wanting to buy - she heard his pager go off as he was hiding in the back! She pointed to the TV we wanted. He walks over & rips off the sales tag off, was rude & wasn't interested in checking to see if there was any in stock. Sales sign was in wrong TV. We left... Never been in such a poorly run Target. read more

I don't know who the manager is of the store, but they have failed to communicate with customer service services supposed to be. There are two words in customer service, and they prioritize what your job is. First is the customer, end of story. Second is your job which is service. I have literally had employees in 130 minute visit to the store literally not move out of your way and just stand there or walk through you while you're shopping. I had one employee take all of his garbage. I was at the checkout line today, standing next to the self service that register right there, and he literally just dropped it all on the counter directly behind me, thump, scattered papers, and stickers, or whatever, and not even acknowledge that I was standing there, not the first time when he basically tried to walk through my basket or the second time when he just dumped stuff directly behind my body. While I was shopping in the clothing section a girl with a basket, I guess maybe fulfilling orders or something, has the whole aisle. I am looking at clothing. She pulls up directly behind me and size loudly as if I have to move and there's nowhere else to move around me. The management here needs to have a hard long conversation with these kids and either fire them and hire someone who can do the job or get them to get their priorities straight, which is act like you care to be there. Smile move out the way and help customers don't act like we're not there and throw your trash everywhere. Absolutely bananas I have rarely experienced this level of poor customer service, if they're not on their phones, they're not even acknowledging you if you look like you need help. If I'm standing there looking around and I'm looking at you then you're supposed to go can I help you with something? You don't just blow by me as if I don't exist. It is probably the rudest staff of any target in the area because they are so self-absorbed and disconnected and clearly don't care to be there. read more

This store was clean and well stocked. I came during the spring and found a good selection of Easter themed items and spring wear. The displays were in good order. I came in search of a large bathmat and sadly didn't find one large enough in the quality I was looking for. But the department did have good items that were smaller. For a Target store, this one is a good one that meets standards. read more

This target is pretty nice. It's located off 35 and 51st and is easy to access. The store is clean and has a good selection of items. The staff is nice and helpful. My only complaint is is that they only had 1 checker working the rest were self checkout and the line was long. Overall good experience. read more

Target is always an easy stop when I need a little bit of everything. This location is usually clean and organized, and I can find what I need pretty quickly. I also like checking the seasonal section because they always have cute new stuff. The staff has been friendly whenever I've needed help read more

I feel like I walk around with a Target on my back, but this store does too, except that it doesn't walk around. I'm not a big fan of Target, but Barbi likes it, and this one is conveniently located right off Interstate 35. Unfortunately Interstate 35 is often packed full of cars these days and can be a real nightmare to negotiate. But it's better having Target here than not, I suppose. I'm not a fan as I said, but you can find a lot of stuff here for about 50 to 100% more than Walmart, while feeling like you're actually shopping at a place that doesn't treat you like a prisoner in a maximum-security wing. read more

Target - Target practice - Department Stores Near Me - Austin, Texas

This target is amazing. However, the last three times I've gone I was unable to grab some snacks and an icee on my way out because there were six people using the snack area as a self-checkout. Management needs to intervene and keep self-checkout peoples in the self-checkout area. read more

Huge location but messy. They have Ulta and self serve snack bar that's pretty cool. I do like Target popcorn but they didn't have any popped. Pallets was still on the floor after 9 am. Their floor looks shiny though. read more

I usually like going to Target but this store was the worse one I have ever been to! From the moment I walked into the store, looking around at the very messy shelves, to crap all over the floor, to the cashier, in her belly shirt, acting like customers are bothering her, this was a BAD experience! I will NOT be back! read more

Lupe was amazing! He provided great customer service and was super helpful when I was looking for a shirt I needed. His help and understanding made my visit 5 stars. I will be back based off his customer service alone! read more

An average target location that carries a good mix of products. If your looking for men's clothes, the men's section is limited compared to the newer and bigger targets like Arboretum or Lakeline. Same with houseware and bedding/bath stuff. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get into but leaving the parking lot takes more effort as it is near the messy airport/51st/290 interchanges. You can go the back way on Cameron road which is easier. Tends to be busy at all hours as well. It's definitely an upgrade over the other downtown locations near UT and east Austin if your looking for more selection. read more

Kamrin was awesome! We stopped by for a new TV, store was cleaned out due to new inventory. Kamrin was very helpful and knowledgeable, you can tell he's a good employee. We bought the last TV on display. Good price, good warranty. Thank you! read more

Clean & well-stocked. This location has the smaller grocery section (i.e. - it isn't a full-sized grocery store like some of the Targets have); I always prefer the stores with the full grocery sections, but I realize this isn't a feature that's intended to be in all stores, so I'm not knocking any stars off my review because of that. The women's beauty section is the area that really stood out to me. This is one of the locations that has the expanded & updated beauty & cosmetics section. I love all the additional brands & items on offer & the layout is aesthetically pleasing. The large selection of trial & travel-sized products located in the round kiosks in the middle of the beauty section make me a happy girl! read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Austin, Texas

This has got to be the most trashed, disorganized and gross Target in the US. Why does it always look like an earthquake just happened in there? Stuff is always all over the floors, the aisles are cluttered, nothing is where it is supposed to be, and they're always out of stock on things. You can't figure out what prices are because there's no organization. The employees act super immature and careless, that probably has a lot to do with it. A bunch of children. It really comes down to management honestly. It just feels like your quality of life drops immediately upon entering the store. Once I asked a staff why the store was always such a mess and she blamed the guests. Tells you a lot about how they view their responsibility to keep an organized store. They're incredibly lazy. read more

I love the stock at this location...they have really great stuff. However, every-single-time my family and I shop here, we notice an overcharge for at least one item. It typically feels like too much of an inconvenience so we let it go. Today I went to customer service for a refund. Maybe this sounds petty but this was the 4th time it's happened in a row. It's usually only a few bucks difference but that's not the point. If you shop here, be sure to check your charges. read more

My local Target. Not much to complain about... it's cleaner than some Targets, plenty of workers available, parking is easy. Biggest complaint is only 4 self checkout machines and sometimes a line can form. read more

This store is ran by a bunch of incompetent young adults that have zero ability to provide customer service. I had made an online order for convenience and because I had other plans that evening and did not have time to shop. When I arrived, my order had not been prepared despite receiving an email many hours earlier in the day indicating that my order was ready. I was in the store waiting for 30 mins while the service team scrambled for a solution, in some cases even put me on hold while other customers were assisted even though I was there before them. There was no urgency to help me or any assurance that they would do everything they could to make the situation better. After 30 mins and a tremendous amount of frustration from this situation, I was simply given a refund and told I would have to re-order the items I wanted. It was a massive waste of my time and after all the effort, I still did not even get my order completed. I will remember this negative experience any future times I need something and will most likely just prefer to buy from Amazon instead of dealing with an incompetent staff at this store. read more

I very much appreciate this location! It was a great find on the side of the freeway. The store was quiet, very clean, and well stocked. This location had a plethora of vegan items and even some items that my location does not have. I did not expect that because of the look of the area where it is located. I found everything I needed and ended up buying more than I meant to buy (because....Target). Tip: the exit runs up against the interstate, so I had to wait so cars to slow down to jump in and exit. read more

A little disorganized, but we were able to get the items we needed while running errands here. Located in north Austin, close to a main highway, it's easy to get to and is nearby other businesses. We visited Target to get some items while traveling and it was fine for the most part. Departments were easy to find, but items in some departments were misplaced and shelves were disorganized, especially where apparel was. Unlike a Starbucks at Target like back at home, they had their own kind of cafe and a refreshments area that old school Target used to have, like the popcorn and slushies. Yeah, you remember. It's nice to have this Target in the area, especially where other main businesses and restaurants were, making it easy to run errands and such. Not the best Target I've been to, but I got what I needed. read more

Do not buy anything canned for order pickup. Several times I've bought different flavors of Waterloo and the cans look like they're about to explode. There is no flat end on the bottom it is bursting out so you can't place them upright in the fridge or on the counter. Also, make sure you double check expiration dates if you are doing drive up. Apparently the employees there do not. Several times I've gotten expired food. Nothing that is easily breakable like chips or cracker should not be ordered via drive up. I'm wondering if someone is in there just kicking stuff around or something. Now I have to drive back up there just to return this stuff. Drive up service is trash. Do yourself a favor and do an order pickup at HEB instead. read more

3 stars is about right - seems like there's a pretty good consensus. The thing about big chains is they never seem to have enough resources to manage an individual store. Sure, they can operate well on a national level, but they miss a lot of things just do to the sheer number of people working under them. The CEO of whatever company owns Target doesn't have time to check in on all thousand locations or whatever it is. The consequence of this is that they end up doing things sloppily on a local level, with underpaid teenage employees that couldn't care less about giving good customer service. This Target is great unless you have any trouble finding something. If you do, expect a look of utter confusion on the face of whoever you ask. I'm not normally the type to give one star reviews, but this store could bump itself up from a 3 to a 4 if they just trained their employees a little better on where everything is located. That said, the cafe is actually a nice non-crowded spot to work. Everyone goes to the coffee shops when actually some of these less indie stores are good for sitting down and replying to emails. read more

This is a busy store! We were there around 8 on Monday and the parking lot was packed. We were able to find everything we wanted - lunch items for our week here and some snacks. It's not the cleanest store, but it's so busy I would imagine it's hard to keep everything stocked during business hours. They could really use more checkout clerks, too. There were lines back to the clothing section. Overall, it was a good experience. We were able to find everything we were looking for and the young guy who rang up our order was really friendly. Visited Target - Capital Plaza in Austin on Wed 11/9/22 at 3 pm. The clothing sections were a complete MESS, especially the womens section. I could understand/tolerate a little mess - but this much, unacceptable! Decided to forgo shopping for any clothes, as I didn't want to deal with the mess. The rest of the store was orderly, so my trip wasn't a complete waste of time. Hoping management will address this situation & get it under control. read more

I just discovered that target has a make up line that is so cheap it's ridiculous! The stuff ranges from $1.00 to $5.00 and includes fake eye lashes, eyeliner, lipstick, mascara, make up brushes, fake nails, etc. The brand name is Elf and I have to say the products aren't bad! read more

I like this store. It's bright, spacious, clean and organized. The employees I've encountered are polite and helpful. They have nice merchandise. Their "clearance" endcaps are like hidden treasures. Target - Department Stores Near Me - Austin, Texas

While my girlfriend and I were away for the weekend visiting Austin, we decided to get some snacks and provisions for the hotel room. Where better to visit for such items than the local Target? I'm a fan of Target, even at home. Obviously this Austin location isn't my home Target since I don't live there, but it was just as fast and friendly as the one I regularly visit back home in Fort Worth. You likely already know what Target is, what Target sells, and if they are a place you're interested in trying or not. Wal-Mart is a little cheaper, but a little bit lower quality on a lot of things as well. It's a trade-off. Wal-Mart may save you a few pennies, but it's always busy and packed with people and the poor staff are over-worked and under-appreciated while Target remains a viable alternative. Give them a try, wherever you happen to live! :) read more

I went into Target today for the first time in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised! The store was very clean and the carts were plentiful, clean and functioning perfectly. I had a shopping list... and they had everything I needed in the grocery section and it all was very easy to find. I've been let down by Walmart lately... you've got to scour the parking lot for your own shopping cart and they are dirty and usually don't function right. Target is my go to store now!! read more
