I've had some surprisingly good finds at this Marshalls, especially for jeans and little snack items I wasn't expecting to come across. The clothing section can take some digging, but when you find the right pair it feels like a win. The snack aisles are always fun to browse too, with a mix of unique treats and good deals. Like most Marshalls, the experience depends on timing and patience, but this one has treated me well. As my bookmarks and check ins may reveal, I am looking for reasonable finds to furnish my new apartment here in Austin, and considered Marshall's a great source to not only find things I wanted for my home, but also with discounts on beauty products, pet treats and toys. What a great treat to learn that not only was Marshall's in Austin but one was not that far from me. So I took my wallet, and my sense of optimism and wonder and gathered myself to head off to the store. Excited..yes. Worried about blowing my budget..yes. I'm known to have set a figure in my head and then completely obliterate it, especially when it comes to Marshall's, Home Goods and other similar places. Got to the store, immediately spotted a great table for my patio. Saw the price was $49, but it was marked down to $20. Great start and great sign!! Put it in my cart, just as another woman was eyeing it, and scooted off to the home section. I came looking for artwork and towels, maybe some treats for the doggie, who was waiting for me at home. Passed by the beauty section. SheaMoisture for $7.99 a piece? I'm like Gordon Ramsay.."IN". Made my way and found two plush towels. "IN". Two small pieces of art at $9.99 each. "IN". Dog treats.."IN". Then I decided to check out the candles. I'm a sucker for candles. I grabbed six, ranging from 4.99 to 7.99. "IN". On my way to the checkout, saw a tshirt that said "im a genius". I felt pretty genius like for coming here, so in that went too. Get to the register. Now, I'd done a rough estimate and figured I'd spent about $165 dollars before tax. And though it was beyond my budget, I was okay with it. I can eat ramen for a while, my place needs to be cute. I get to the register and my total was $187. 'Is tax that high?' I thought. Shrugged it off and went to do the rest of my retail shopping. I get home and start counting. Turns out they overcharged me by scanning a candle twice. It was $8 more. No biggie. This is when things went downhill. Mind you, I'd purchased a patio table, two pieces of art, two towels, dog treats, six candles and a basket...schlepped them all up two flights of stairs...and gotten them inside my house. So I decided to call the store and try to get it sorted. The manager tells me that I have to bring EVERYTHING I brought back, just to get a refund of $8. Seriously?! I wasn't asking to not come to the store, but to bring EVERYTHING back?! Well, best believe I'm bringing it all back..except my patio table and one piece of art. It's all coming back. And I'm not going to carry it back. They can have it. I'll stick to HomeGoods. read more

Came Saturday and spent over $150. This isn't an odd occurrence as I love close so I'll hit this store up often. In the last couple of weeks I've spent at least $50 3Xs a week. This last visit (7/13) along with everything else I bought I got some essential oils for $9.99. When I got them home and tried them in my burner they didnt smell like anything. So I tried it in my diffuser and still nothing. I tried 4 or the 6 scents but still no smell! I wasn't able to take them back to the store on sunday and Monday I was sick. Back at the store (as I type this) today 7/16. When the clerk (her name was Jackie) finished looking at her phone and accepted me at her terminal she was VERY skeptical of my return. She called another person over (her name was Raquel and her tag identified her as a coordinator) who told the Jackie she couldn't deny my return. Jackie promptly got onto the store phone and called someone I later found out named Chris (another coordinator) amd told him I was attempting to return empty bottles. This of course was untrue, opened and used, yes, empty no. I wouldn't do such a thing. Anyway, Chris told her to decline my return but she told him the Raquel had already told me yes. Therefore, they did the return with Jackie giving Raquel attitude for accepting my return and telling me Raquel would take me at register 1. Raquel came back and apologized for the hassle (for some reason the oils didn't show up on my receipt and had to manually do it. I told her I was VERY unhappy being treated like a criminal attempting to steal products by pulling some return heist. Especially considering how much I spend and how often I'm in this store. Raquel again apologized amd said she understood. I'm incredibly disgusted with the treatment I've received in this store. I only brought them back with the hopes of getting new ones. I wasn't even looking for a monetary refund! I find it laughable that they would be so harsh about returns considering I've brought hair products from here and gotten them home only to find they had already been opened amd I didn't return those! I even pointed it out to the cashier at the time of purchase. And got no offer of reign check or anything. But I let that ride only to have them accuse me of stealing oils! It seems to me some training is in order. And I would STRONGLY recommend Raquel give the training as she seems to be the only one versed in customer service. She's the ONLY reason for the second star by the way. read more

No service in the store so you can't use your rewards. I wanted to talk to the manager and this guy Manny was already by the register. I wanted to give feedback about maybe obtaining WiFi and he straight up laughed and said he's not in charge of that. Super rude and condescending. I don't appreciate how I was treated for simply suggesting something. I get you can't physically go in and connect WiFi but maybe suggest it to your manager Manny. It's also not funny when you have rewards sitting in your account and unable to use it. I hope y'all find a better manager. read more

Wow! This is the Marshalls in Southpark Meadows that is walking distance to Target. They are open until 11 every night during the week for the holiday and they are busting their humps for real. They have cheap and fun gifts. There is a ton of golf and sport lover gifts.... They have nice perfumes and solid deals. They even have nice jewelry sets up at the front right now. NOTE: I have been told that some people that have shopped Marshalls in the past got the letters in the mail from the corporate office that state that someone internally in the company had somehow taken a lot of credit card info but that Marshalls handled it the best they could, so I usually avoid buying things there with a credit card, especially debit, but this was 2 years ago and they seem to have it together now, hopefully, and I know this can happen anywhere. Not going to lie or exaggerate, this is the best Marshalls I have ever been to. They had GLAMGLOW by far the BEST face mask on this planet that usually sells for $60 for $25. I decorated my new apartment with everything from here which is a huge relief because they had enough home decor that matched to put a whole bedroom and living room together without it looking like an antique thrift shop threw up all over the place. read more

What Marshalls? You say I havent written a review about you yet? How rude being that I see you at least weekly I should tell the people how awesome you are! Seriously I love Marshalls, I dont just mean the discount designer clothes and shoes that are amazing but also home goods. On my latest Marshalls adventure I found great quality picture frames in sliver and wood on clearance for $3 a piece! This place is also great for entertaining ware like platters, bowls and vases. I found a set of Mexican recycled drinking glasses for $2 each, I saw the exact same ones at World Market for $4 each. The home goods section does become messy and they are usually understaffed so you are sort of on your own, hence the 4 stars not five. I encourage all of you shoppers out there to make it past the clothes and go to the back to the home goods section, there is some great stuff back there! read more

This is a great Marshall's because it is new (read: clean) and its location is outstanding being in Southpark Meadows. This store keeps a healthy revolving door of inventory which is nice because you can come in every 2 weeks or so and get a different selection of merchandise. I have bought a lot of kitchen-ware over the years from Marshalls and have always been pleased. Only downside is the crappy music that sometime nearly drives me out of the store (Nickelback is a favorite artist, bleh!) but if you are looking for a good deal on clothing, accessories, or houseware check it out!! read more

Although I always end up getting dragged to come here with my girlfriend, this store has a great selection of affordable products. I usually end up buying a tech accessory. Cellphone accessories galore on the cheap! If you are in a pinch and need a charging cable, battery power bank, head phones, or cell phone case, come here first. Prices are comparable to Amazon. This is the rudest Marshall's around. The clerk rang my shirt up wrong and had to redo by cancelling the transaction and reprocessing. When I mentioned it to her, she got irritated and didn't even apologize. And I know I'm not the first to be treated this way. I've determined that it might be the area of South Park Meadows in general. Or it could be the management. Either way... never again will I shop here. Hello i went to this store located on South Park Meadows and the service is terrible! Especially with a person named "Jasmine" I new this person a long time ago when she was hanging out with my ex boyfriend, but my ex boyfriend didn't like her, because he still in love of me, but I don't any more, I have a new boyfriend.I just don care about it because I am happy with my new boyfriend. So I didn't know she work in marshals till my new boyfriend stared to tell me than some one lady was always looking and watching me all the time "feed to head" so then one day we went shopping and he pointed to this girl because she was looking at me and it was so uncountable , so I saw her and she was jasmine so I ignored her every time we went shopping, my boyfriend was so upset about it and he asked me to stop going to the store because of her personality but I wasn't agree because I really loved to shop on marshals and I didn't have or I didn't care about her. It was not my business ! So now couple times when my boyfriend and I went to the store and if she see us toguether she just passed long with out saying anything buy if my boyfriend is away from me she pass and ask him if he needs something! I know you might think I am the crazy one, but is she supostube using that technic? If she really wanted to be nice why she didn't stopped watching me all the time that way ,and why she didn't asked me if I need it some thing in still doing what she was doing! The worst Marshall's in Austin. Lots of empty shelves and chintzy selection. Cannot compare to North locations; same goes for TJ and Ross. Yelling, unsupervised kids all over store. I just hit the Marshalls in the Houston Galleria area, which was like Saks compared to this location. It's gone downhill since opening. read more
