I was so excited to see an old navy in Southpark Meadows! I had to stop in and check it out. As soon as I started shopping it was apparent how much they tried to shove as much as they could into this little store. It was horrible shopping here due to the isles being too crowded. I had one of their small upright carts and that even had difficulties getting through some of the displays or racks of clothing. People were constantly having to go back the way they came because it was too crowded to pass by each other. It was a mess. Not too mention if you had ADA needs- I don't think you could have a positive shopping experience here. This Old Navy location needs to downsize their merchandise selection and mannequins- it was too crowded! Recommend if you're just popping in to get one or two items, but if you're browsing for nothing in particular I would go to Barton Creek Mall or the Brodie Lane location.

So I don't have kids…read more My husband has a shaved bald head and he has quite the time of finding hats that will snugly fit his head without flying off or popping off.... On a whim, we went here. JACKPOT. It sounds funny, but we got him like a 24 month old to small toddler sized hat here for next to nothing and it fits his hairless head like a glove and you would never know we got it here, until now, of course. The staff was sickly friendly and so helpful. They had great sales and all of their hats (which are fleece lined for the babies) were no more expensive than $4 and since we have been having much cooler weather than usual, it is important to know what options are hanging around out there! Check this place out! I kid you not, it is for any age! Pun intended.

First off, you'd think a store that is…read morespecifically for children, would include an automatic door for parents/guardians with strollers to use, right? Wrong! I struggled to get into the store with my baby stroller. There were two associates by the door and neither helped me. I didn't even get a greeting when I walked in. The store is jam packed. There's too much merchandise to fit in this location and it's a safety hazard. Not only was it a struggle to get into the door, but I could barely move within the store. I have a standard Graco stroller and I could not turn my stroller. I had to literally push their clothing and store furniture out of my way. Children were sitting on the floor and I couldn't get around them. Clothes are thrown all over the place and the selection is not decent at all. I only purchased an item because I was desperate for it, but that's it. It was my first time in this store and it will be my last. I was unimpressed all around. The associates were not helpful. They didn't even really seem to care about their customers or engaged with us. Maybe other locations are better, but this one in South Park Meadows is not.

I thought I'd try Gomez Western Wear to give a new business a try. The selection inside Gomez was nice and service was friendly. I also saw a group of kids buying shirts for a quincenera. Then, I found a common black button up shirt my dad had liked via our FaceTime conversation (he lives in a different state). I thought I'd get him a new black shirt for Father's Day and because he only dresses up on special occasions (therefore has a limited selection). I ended up sending him the shirt via USPS in a big package around July because I sent it along with some other goodies for 4th of July. Fast forward to August 3rd he wore it to a dress up wedding. At the wedding the buttons started to pop off. That is so embarrassing for not only my dad but also me. I cannot believe something like that happened. My dad is a timid person typically this made it worse. He left the event due to the shirt falling apart and being utterly embarrassed. I've looked the website and understand the unfortunate return policy. Now I know where not to shop. I just hope you all start selling better quality products or offer better return policies in the future because of that I will now be taking my business elsewhere.

I should have known better when she wasn't even paying attention while scanning and just had this I don't care attitude the whole time but we were in such a rush that we didn't even look through our stuff until now. I'm back home and I had gotten a cute pair of Dr. Martens that I wanted to wear and after cutting off the tag and peeling the sticker on the inner heel off realized the security tag was left on one of the shoes. Today I was going to return three items that didn't work out and after looking over the receipt realized I was charged twice on an item. I went to a nearby Ross to ask if it would even be possible to get a refund and to remove the security tags and they told me I would have to go back to the original store for the refund and because the original tag isn't on the shoes they couldn't remove the security tag. When I called this store to ask if they could review the tapes over the phone they said I would have to do it in person. We decided to accept the $16 loss over the 2 hour drive and gas wasted to stand there as they verify I was double charged. We just don't have the time to make that trip again but seriously train your staff to pay more attention when handling people's merchandise. It's an easy enough job you're just scanning the items. I shouldn't have to stand guard the next time someone scans my items to make sure they're doing it right when they could have done it right in the first place.

Painted Tree is unique in that there are local artisans, craft makers, and vintage items you will find here at super affordable prices. Parking is never an issue when I come here to buy a unique piece for a friend or family gift. There are a lot of Austin-centric and often handcrafted pieces here. I have seen original artwork, candles, quilts, glassware, and a ton of stickers and even kids-related and appropriate finds. I recommend coming during the week but often times on the weekends the management will run specials and give a percentage off for shoppers. I would consider checking their social handles for events. I have seen several themed events that last from open to close such as summer events, mother's day, and even recently a Halloween (or holiday) themed promotion to get you inside and browsing. No need to remember vendors or take down names or booth numbers. All you have to do is grab what you like and when you check out the staff will scan and utilize their system to get you through your purchase. The staff have always been helpful and friendly.
