I was so excited to see an old navy in Southpark Meadows! I had to stop in and check it out. As soon as I started shopping it was apparent how much they tried to shove as much as they could into this little store. It was horrible shopping here due to the isles being too crowded. I had one of their small upright carts and that even had difficulties getting through some of the displays or racks of clothing. People were constantly having to go back the way they came because it was too crowded to pass by each other. It was a mess. Not too mention if you had ADA needs- I don't think you could have a positive shopping experience here. This Old Navy location needs to downsize their merchandise selection and mannequins- it was too crowded! Recommend if you're just popping in to get one or two items, but if you're browsing for nothing in particular I would go to Barton Creek Mall or the Brodie Lane location.

Walked up at 6:30 on a Sunday and the doors were closed and locked. Clearly stated 7:00 on Thursday doors and online.

Oscar helped me with jeans while another staff member helped my bf with tshirts (didn't catch his name). I told Oscar my dilemma with my 1955 jeans, and he recommended boncoura work pants to me. I think they're a new product and were made in partnership with self edge? I don't remember all the details beyond him telling me he fits women in these pants because they surprisingly fit women really well. I tried them on...and yeah. I walked out of the store with them and wore them the rest of the day lol. Everyone was super helpful while we shopped and tried clothes on. I think I actually had a better experience here than at the SF store. They have a parking lot out front, so the store is really accessible. If you're looking for raw denim, visit self edge. If you're looking for premium, well-made basics or you're into working menswear from Japan, go to self edge. They're knowledgeable, and they're passionate about the industry and products they carry. I'm glad self edge opened a store in Austin bc I'm pretty sure there isn't another store here that is within this market of clothing. I'll definitely come back as soon as my budget allows!

Second Looks is clearly his baby: he's not just an attentive consultant, responding to your preferences on house, material, and tailoring (thankfully, he is not hesitant to offer his excellent suggestions on fit and styling), he's also a gentleman and a scholar, eager to share his considerable knowledge about the history of menswear, soul music, and rodeo, having been a cowboy himself before working in radio and taking over Second Looks. Michael's selection is fantastic. he showed me suits and separates from Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, Drake's, Canali, and local Austin bespoke tailors Capra and Cavelli. He's got Allen Edmonds shoes and a great collection of belts, which seem to go very quickly. I didn't peruse his selection of casualwear, but it seemed just as well-curated and complete as his formal sections. I walked out with a Golden Fleece jacket and alligator belt having spent about $115--he gave me the educator discount. I couldn't have asked for better value. Having lived in Boston, Cleveland, Charleston, SC, Eugene, OR, Granada, Spain, and Norwich, England, I've never been so impressed by a menswear shop, let alone a secondhand store, or by its owner. TL;DR: Go see Michael. He's got the goods.

On a whim, we went here. JACKPOT. It sounds funny, but we got him like a 24 month old to small toddler sized hat here for next to nothing and it fits his hairless head like a glove and you would never know we got it here, until now, of course. The staff was sickly friendly and so helpful. They had great sales and all of their hats (which are fleece lined for the babies) were no more expensive than $4 and since we have been having much cooler weather than usual, it is important to know what options are hanging around out there! Check this place out! I kid you not, it is for any age! Pun intended.

I struggled to get into the store with my baby stroller. There were two associates by the door and neither helped me. I didn't even get a greeting when I walked in. The store is jam packed. There's too much merchandise to fit in this location and it's a safety hazard. Not only was it a struggle to get into the door, but I could barely move within the store. I have a standard Graco stroller and I could not turn my stroller. I had to literally push their clothing and store furniture out of my way. Children were sitting on the floor and I couldn't get around them. Clothes are thrown all over the place and the selection is not decent at all. I only purchased an item because I was desperate for it, but that's it. It was my first time in this store and it will be my last. I was unimpressed all around. The associates were not helpful. They didn't even really seem to care about their customers or engaged with us. Maybe other locations are better, but this one in South Park Meadows is not.
