Nervous at first, the free spirited artist was able to put our minds at ease in record time (seriously, she had my wife relaxed in under two minutes and a half - yes, I am anal retentive enough to time that shit). The photographer is very personable, with a keen eye for 'just the right pose'. Reviewing the shots I was (and still am actually) amazed at how well she was able to capture the moment. Ladies - Julia is sweet, warm, and kind spirited. I do not believe for a minute she'd ever ask you to do anything you're uncomfortable with. Her dedication to art ensures you will look your best when you review the photos. She WILL make you into the cover girl you've always dreamed of being. Guys - Shhh, let the ladies work, you'll be happy you did. Seriously, kind of like a wedding the moment is all about her; let her enjoy the spotlight and you'll see just how beautiful your woman really is. Did my google searching for photographers in Houston and contacted about a dozen. Perhaps half responded they weren't available, and half didn't respond. However, one adorable young lady in Austin (3 hours away), Julia Vie of Vivian's Muse, said she was very excited about shooting me! We exchanged several emails about the process and logistics and had an extended phone chat. My trepedation morphed into excitement and anticipation. Let's do this!! The big day! Julia shot perhaps 400 photos in an hour or so, all the while offering instruction, incredible encouragement and showing me what she had captured in her viewfinder. All with a monster camera and first class professional lighting. We shot on the couch, on the stairway, in the window, on the bed. Woah, so exhilerating! Nervousness was gone and my inner goddess had taken over. I'm not one for exaggeration but this was truly one of the best hours of my life. Back the next morning to review and select proofs. Oh no, her computer jammed up, wasn't happening. No problem in the digital age. We had more girly chat, comparing notes on all of the fun we had had the preceding day. A few days later the proofs arrived via email. I was blown away. OH MY! That cannot possibly be me. But...it is! Being a goddess, even for a short while, really gets in your head. And stays there. Customer service was nice. I asked if the dressing room was open, and she said yes. The room I was in was clean and large enough to try on clothes.
