My first awareness and interaction with the SwimFreak team began with an on-line search for a…read morespecific set of Speedo goggles - and, ended with my intent to embrace "Texas' Favorite Swim Shop," as our favorite swim store for two reasons: 1) The very responsive team, not only fulfilled my request for multiple pairs of these 'hard to find' goggles, but very graciously added a 'bonus' pair to my order knowing how much I like the particular model; and, 2) I learned that, besides their two original stores in the San Antonio-area, SwimFreak also have a full-service shop in Austin which is very convenient to where we have a 2nd home and our children/grandchild reside :-). SwimFreak is now our primary "go-to" for on-line/remote orders to support our open water swimming while at home on Kaua'i; and, in-store shopping for our pool and fresh water swimming while in Austin :-). The associate wasn't very warm. My experience at other locations was far friendlier--the sales associates there wanted to help me from the beginning to find what I wanted. That said, after I started picking out some things, the associate came over and noted my preference based on my selections and offered to help me find other items to try on. While trying on the suits, the associate checked my progress and brought me different sizes and other suits to try based on things I was discovering. I was really pleased with the things she brought to me to try. In fact, it was a selection she brought to me that I ended up purchasing. The selection of two-piece suits offered various degrees of coverage and support. I didn't check out any of the one-piece swimsuits, so I cannot comment on their quality. There were many colors to choose from, but sadly the truly vibrant colors I was searching for appeared to be out of season. Items are sold separately, so it's easy to mix and match items, and even buy two tops with one matching bottom to leave with two swimsuits! While I was browsing, I heard a few people come into the store and leave shortly thereafter. I can see that this would be very frustrating if this was the routine that happened throughout the day. I imagine some people walk in and get sticker shock, so they don't stick around. I mention this because this store sells quality swimwear. If you want to spend less than $20 on a swimsuit, go to Walmart. But this store will sell you items that will hold up longer than one season and stay in great condition. I recommend Everything But Water.

If you don't want to read the whole thing: I've shopped here for years. The older lady who works here, with reddish hair, was rude and dismissive. Shes been rude before. This was the last time I'll be at Perky Peacock. When I shop here I typically spend a decent amount as I have a larger chest and they have many bras to choose from, as well as quite a selection of clothes. I've lost some weight in the past six months, but haven't updated my bra drawer so I decided to visit perky Peacock. I need an accurate measurement to buy some new bras as well as some clothes for a trip I have coming up. When I went in a young woman asked if I needed any help and I said I needed a bra fitting. She didn't have experience in fittings so she led me to the counter, where there was an older woman who would be able to help me. She groaned, looked extremely annoyed, and asked if I would be in the area for the next hour as another employee had just gone to lunch and she was helping another customer (I was the only other person in the shop outside of the two employees.) It looked like she was doing inventory from what I saw, but maybe she was working on a large order for someone who was coming back? Either way, l told her I wasn't sure but would shop for a while. When she realized I would be sticking around to shop she asked if I knew what band size I was. In which I replied, "No, that's part of the reason why I need to get fitted." She made another annoyed sound, rolled her eyes, and mumbled something to the other employee as I walked to a rack to peruse their sundresses. I didn't let on that I had heard her mutter to the other employee. She has been rude before to myself and other customers and I didn't have any desire to buy anything at that point. I just calmly walked out of the store shortly after. I'm writing this because I was treated as a burden and an annoyance. To treat someone so rudely who could be spending hundreds of dollars, or even someone just window shopping, at your establishment isn't ok in the least. I try to shop local. I love this town and I love the many shops around here. Unfortunately, there aren't very many locally owned places that cater to undergarments for women. So, I'll be heading out to get fitted at Soma and buying my bras and other various items somewhere else from here on out.

The dresses mostly run over $100 and aren't exactly my style. The prints are mostly fun and colorful and almost 60s-70s ish. I found their sterling silver jewelry and earrings to be more interesting. They had lots of unique flower shaped earrings that ranged around $32-44. They also sell kids clothes and gifts. The interior was a little dark. The dresses were mostly made of stretchy or comfy fabric. The dresses are more casual in nature (wrap dresses, summer dresses). They also sold bathing suits for around $80. I don't know if the bathing suits are made in-house.

Well she went down from 3 stars to 1 and if I could have given her 0 stars I would have gladly done so, given the opportunity due to her extremely foul personality. This is her customer service face, do be aware. I can see how Csilla is overly protective and it's abundantly clear how she can get when someone isn't glowing in their reviews. See the other only honest and low review on here. Perhaps Csilla may one day realize that we all have a right to our own opinion, that's the point of Yelp, to allow for honest and frank opinions about a person's experience with a business on here. Am I wrong? Is the credo of Yelp to put false and fabricated niceties of friends and family of the business owner to make it appear they are better than they are? The message may have seemed innocuous to her, but not to me. I hope she keeps her venom and foul personality far away from me. I might add instead of wasting her time replying and making that public scene on here she didn't want, why not work on honing your clothing designs and using better and more natural fabrics or possibly changing your pricing scheme for the quality and fabrics used. I can only guess now after my unpleasant dealings with her that she must have bullied all of her 5 stars into their reviews, that's not the first time I have seen this from a business owner on here. I love shopping at the ATX Domain retail store and I've always enjoyed shopping at the Outlet in San Marcus until last week. I purchased 5 shirts and a pair of jeans. The jeans were one size larger than I normally wear and I was a little reluctant to purchase them. I bought everything and left but kept thinking about the larger size jeans and decided, how to think they would fit so I turned around and went back within 15 minutes of the purchase to return the jeans. Wrong, the manager was called in and refused to take them back and give me a refund. She said it was not their policy and I could shop and find something else. I explained I had already shopped and bought 5 shirts I liked and didn't find anything else I couldn't live without. If I had found other items I liked I would have bought them. She totally was rude and in my opinion very unprofessional. Not at all representative of a Tommy Bahama employee. This is 5/27/2015. Hopefully she will be gone shortly and can get her previous job in fast food back and someone with the values Tommy Bahama requires takes over the management duties.
