I came here on my break because my usual place was closed and today was the only day I had time. I should have paid more attention and/or left when I realized this isn't a normal pedicure place. The chairs don't massage/recline and there's no tub of water with jets. The lady finally came over and we chatted and she said "do you have any concerns or anything?" And I said "if you can make sure this one is cut straight. Everyone cuts it at an angle" and showed her which one. She patted my leg and said "that won't happen here. Straight across here" I said "well you asked so I'm just telling you. Everyone cuts it crooked". To top it off, they ask you how much you want to tip. Let me just type it in myself. I HATE having to say it outloud. I told her and it added on a convenience fee. Very inconvenient for me to have to pay a fee to tip. Definitely will not be back. Edit to add that I'm aware the "convenience fee" doesn't go to the tech, that's not my issue. My issue is an unexpected, added fee regardless of how large or small. read more

They messed up my appt. I was supposed to have an appt with my 2 daughters to celebrate their bday. I left a vm and spoke to someone live to make my appts. They put in the notes that this was the case yet booked only 2 of 3 appts. They could not accommodate me but said if I came in the next day for my pedi, the manager would make it right. When I went in and I explained, he looked at me like "oh well" and wasn't apologetic. When I went to pay, he offered a $5 discount off a $55 pedi. Ridiculous. This wasted an hour of my time, and extra trip over, and I couldn't have my appt with my daughters. The pedi was just ok... water got cold quickly as it's just in a tub, not attached to running water. No hot stones or wax or anything extra for the $55. I will say the vibe there, the warm neck wrap, and the nail technicians are positives. Last time I go there... I can get way better customer service at many other nail salons. read more

A little nail boutique that doesn't do gel nails and it's just plain ole' nailpolish. It's located in a little boutique and you get to just sit and hang and have your nails done in a very peaceful setting. I found this place and had my appointment on a Sunday afternoon and it was the perfect hide away for me. Marisela was my nail technician and I had the embellished pedi that my feet truly needed. It was a pedicure with an exfoliating scrub along with a wonderful paraffin wax treatment. This was then followed by the embellished manicure that also did the same - scrub and warm wax treatment for my hands. Marisela did a wonderful job and she is there on Sundays which is a good thing for me. The salon is open only on certain Sundays so if you're looking for a place to hide from your family and need a little me time, this is the place! I love that pedicures are done in comfy recliners and bowls as opposed to the spa chairs that can give you a nail fungus. Their nail polish brands and colors are high quality and they always have new colors as well as my long standing favorites. They're the only salon that I know of that has my favorite Smith & Cult polish. I also love that they give you your file and buffer. They always have lots of cute stuff too. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for 14 months regularly and really like my nail technician. The problem is the cancellation policy which I fully understand -unless it's an urgent last minute illness that comes on like pneumonia which is highly contagious. I called as soon as I knew I was diagnosed from Urgent Care & my symptoms started this morning which was several hours before my appointment. Normally it is very hard to get into this salon last minute but certainly the likelihood is that someone would have snatched up the appointment. I was trying to be cautious and avoid exposing staff there but was told "policy is you have to pay in full for your session" regardless of whether you come or not. I explained again as I NEVER cancel & am a regular client always tipping a straight 20% & did not have pneumonia symptoms when I confirmed. I was told the same "policy" stood. I even offered to bring in my urgent care visit diagnosis, my antibiotic prescription and inhaler to substantiate. Nope! I did not book another appointment and doubt that I will despite liking my nail tech there. The "policy" is set by the owners and they need to carefully consider client loyalty, client records and last minute medical emergencies which involve contagious illnesses & can easily spread to working staff & other clients. read more

Embellish is the cleanest nail salon in addition to being relaxing. Their recliners are comfortable and more sanitary for a pedicure than a massage chair with the jet tub. They use metal basins that are sanitized after each use. Clean tools and fresh files for every customer. Their prices are fair for the service and attention you get. All their employees are really friendly, I don't have a favorite. If you want to treat yourself or have a last minute gift, their boutique section has a great selection of candles, clothing and jewelry. I always have a fabulous experience at Embellish. I love coming here for manicures and pedicures because all of the technicians are highly skilled and so friendly. My favorite technician is Bae but everyone I've seen has been wonderful. The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing that it feels more like a spa than a nail salon. I appreciate that they don't use any harsh or toxic chemicals so the place actually smells great without any of those harmful chemicals that most nail salons use. I've always been concerned at other nail salons where the nail techs wear a mask, doesn't make me feel comfortable if even the employees feel uncomfortable. The neck wraps and hot tea will help relax you immediately. The reclining chairs are super comfy and I have been known to take a quick cat nap during a pedi. Honestly kind of disappointing. I got a gift card so I went here and they did a great job on the nail painting but really slacked on the rest. I paid extra for the "embellish" manicure and didn't even get a hand massage or hot towels like the description says. A midday realisation that I had entirely forgotten to book pedi's for myself and a friend as promised lead to a panicked call around local nail spots without a great deal of hope. The embellish team managed to squeeze us in though and we spent more than an hour being polished and painted and paraffin waxed for the not-very-princely sum of $50 each. A largely barefoot week later my toes are still immaculately shiny. Impressive for a regular / non shellac polish job! I'm pretty picky about my pedicures - and as a (amateur but regular) runner I'm super cautious about anyone being too over zealous with the callus removal - this left me smooth, moisturised and sparkling while still retaining the parts of my feet I need to run 8 miles without wearing down to the nubs - they'll absolutely have my repeat business. I have been told for many years i am a salon snob, way before COVID I could enter a salon and make a visual note of the cleanliness and staff and if I would proceed with services. Yes. I have walked out on many. On my first visit to Embellish I was over the top impressed with the staff and cleanliness, this continues more now during COVID and the salon has the highest consciousness other public and service facilities should implement. Just the friendly greeting, temp check and guided direction of all entering to go wash hands, it's done in a friendly and respectful way. Came as a group of 6 as part of my sisters bridal party. This place is so cute and the service is outstanding. They had spa water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and champagne along with m&ms to snack on. I loved their reclining chairs and copper pedicure bowls. I had Gabby and she did an incredible job on both my mani and pedi. I showed her a photo for inspiration and my nails look better than the photo. All the girls were so fun and we had a great time. They also had such cute things in their boutique.I wish I lived in Austin so I could make this my nail place, but I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more

I always get a natural manicure No polish, pay attention to cuticles. I have been to 4 Westlake favorites They might be fine for pedicures but if you want natural nails this is the place to go. This place is impeccably-run. Service is friendly and stellar. Nail techs are professional, personable and great conversationalists. Atmosphere is clean, inviting and the boutique always manages to have something that tempts me. Lots of thoughtful details around, from the fun chick-flick movies that are playing (on mute, but with subtitles, so you can watch without it being noisy,) to the fun selection of hand soaps to the warm scented neck wraps. I am not someone who gets her nails done regularly but more for special occasions. The salon is beautiful and relaxing, very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Chelsea did my mani pedi and it came out great! I did the shellac on my fingers and regular polish on my toes. She helped me choose the colors after I picked because I felt unsure of my selections. I haven't attempted to remove the shellac yet but I understand they will remove it at no charge for me when the time comes. I highly recommend Embellish and Chelsea and I will be back. read more

This place was awesome! The area was spacious, clean, with a relaxing ambiance that is hard to find in a nail salon. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles, great music and they even had a cute movie playing plus refreshments. I was also given a heated and scented neck pillow and I truly felt like I was at a spa! I got a regular mani/pedi and I have already gotten many compliments on the colors! they dried instantly, super clean edges and no chips, smudges or bubbles in polish. Patricia was incredibly friendly, did an amazing job and was gentle. I will totally be back for more! This nail salon has truly raised the standards and I felt like a pampered princess walking out. Long overdue review, all the women in my family (Mom, sisters, aunts) love going to Embellish Nails! Things they do so well: 1) Cleanliness! I can't emphasize this enough. A new file and buff for each client and of course a sterilized tools packet. 2) How long my Shellack nails last - 2 to 3 weeks without chips! Also, they really clean the outline of your nail so that it doesn't look sloppy as it grows out. 3) How gentle they are with your hands and feet. 4) Atmosphere - great decorations, shopping, and always playing a classic movie. I had an appointment today, I am fully vaccinated, Texas is OPEN, there was torrential rain. When I entered the salon the woman at the desk asked me if I had a mask, I said "I am fully vaccinated, I do not need a mask" . She said i did , I told her she was misinformed and then she told me she did not have a disposable mask in the store and did not want to go out in the rain to her car to get me a mask...... but I could PURCHASE a mask.
