I said I didn't want them too short and I like them square square. she cut them all on an angle, then made them wildly short on some and not the others, and then rounded them. Been to this location before excellant service attentive technicians reason I am posting this later review and decided to post this late even though I had my nails done here today.before This is very low key place is quite not very busy techs are very good at helping you find the right colors and type of nails to get very helpful..This location on bee caves is pretty hidden so you have to really look for it. This nail place is close to my house. I love how clean it is. I like the service. My only complaint has been the last two times I have been in, I have gotten the young girl that usually is at the welcome desk. I guess they are training her to be a nail tech. I rather not be the one she is trained on. Last time I told them I would wait for someone else to open and they wouldn't have it. They said she knows what she is doing, etc. Well the time before she cut my nails way too short. If you get any of the ladies in the white coats you are good. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I did have a problem finding this place bc yelp lead me to the old bee caves road area off of 71. I had to call the shop and it turns out they are closer to the HEB and the galleria. So after I rerouted myself, I showed up to the salon. The sign is kind of hidden behind a tree but it's right next door to a cycle shop. It's a small salon and it's family owned. The ladies were super super super sweet. Hannah did my nails and she was sooooooooooooooo sweet. I could not say one bad thing about my service. She helped me pick my color and even my length considering I have a one year old. I initially went in there wanting dip nails but after listening to my mom life struggles, she asked me to consider something else where I won't break my tips so easily. I'm glad she did bc they look so shiny and I can pick up my little girl without being worried about breaking off my nail. Everyone was so personable and this is the first time I've ever met them. They all gathered around as we were talking about my family and shared pictures. I was so impressed. Someone was even opening my bottled water for me, talk about being spoiled. I'm from Dallas and this is the first nail salon I've ever been to in Austin. It was so reasonably priced and they took their time and made sure my nails were perfect. I ended up getting gel and I didn't keep my hands under the light the whole time so my nails were a little dull, it was maybe 745 by now and Michelle and Hannah told me they were going to do another coat of polish so I have that high shine. So they stuck around 45 mins after closing to help me. I couldn't thank them enough. My nails look so perfect. And I'm super picky. This is officially my new fav spot! I was asking her a question and she walked passed me and talked to someone else that walked in and when we told her what we needed she said I'm busy now you'll have to come back and took the lady after us. This salon was recommend to us by a friend while visiting here in Austin. We had a fantastic experience at The Hills Day Spa. We went in for pedis but were so pleased with the quality of them that, between the 3 of us, we added manis, an eyebrow wax and a lip wax for good measure. The staff are incredibly friendly and responsive. The prices are very reasonable. The space is bright, comfortable, and super clean. If I lived in Austin I would be in here for something every week. I even tried to talk my nail technician (Lan) into moving to the Bay Area. She laughingly said "no" which is lucky for all you Austinites but bad news for me. Go here. Be happy. read more

My daughter and I were looking for a place to get a mani and pedi. So we googled and found Hill Nail & Spa. The spa is exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly. (Open on Sunday's too) The pedicure included hot stones for the $25 price. Amazing! The manicure included a full arm, shoulder and neck rub for $15!!!! Even more amazing. I have NEVER been to a nail spa where they include the massage and all for only $15. Needless to say, my daughter has now made Hills Nail & Spa her place for relaxation and I will be here every time I visit Austin. read more

I do like this place. It's clean, the ladies are nice and they give great massage. My complaint is the hours listed on their website and door are not correct. 3 different times I have showed up and they weren't open yet. The door said they open at 11 am on Sunday, but they don't show up and open shop until 11:40. This has happened during the weekdays also. So each time, I have hired a sitter to get away for a few hours and I spent 30 -40 mins driving around nearby trying to find errands to run while waiting on them to open shop. read more

Stopped in on my way home from work while traffic died down..first thing I noticed walking in was the salon was sparkling clean. Decor looked new. The staff is all so sweet. Michelle, the manager I believe, is a master of acrylic nails as well as regular mani/pedis. They get very busy on the weekends so it's best to make an appointment. Someone said it was by appointment only which is false, this place is awesome so it's busy a lot, I often can just walk in, but on weekends and later in the day I always call to be sure they aren't crazy, if they are, Michelle always tells you exactly when to come in. If she's "short" with you on the phone it's because she's usually running from client to client and answering the phone at the same time. Cut these hard working ladies some slack! read more

I left bleeding from a rough technician that buffed so hard she scraped skin and left an open wound....VERY unnecessarily may I add. They pretend to use sanitized equipment....The package is open when the tech brings them to your chair, who knows how or IF they are actually cleaned between clients. buyer beware... I do NOT love this place. They do NOT do simultaneous mani's/pedi's. At least not when I went. I saw them turn away lots of customers from being understaffed. Not even asking them to wait. My nails came out too short and some are longer than others. Files used on me were ones from just lying around on the counters. I have been a repeat customer at The Hills for over 3 years. When you walk in the door you feel like they are brand new because it is very clean. They informed me that they have a professional cleaning service come in nightly and then once a month have a deep cleaning done. I think this is fabulous! I have had manicures, pedicures and acrylics done here. Their pedicure is an all inclusive deal. They don't have a million different things to up charge you for. They do a wonderful job on gel manicures. I have referred several customers here and they are customers for life. read more
