Most of the Dollar Trees in Austin have gone downhill rapidly. Not just the price hikes but obviously have a hard time finding good staff. I stood at a register about a week ago with my items lined up to go A girl, who worked there just out and out ignored me. I left with the items still at the register. Today I went to just buy birthday ribbons ( that's all I'll buy nowadays) at the $$$ tree next to target on Anderson lane. I practically woke the guy up sitting behind the register. Was accused of stealing after losing MY money!! pretty sure it was one of the employees. Extremely rude -1000/10 customer service. I stopped in an empty isle, sat my 2 items down and began searching my purse for my lost bill I dropped , one of the pigs come squeaking at me to "STOP STEALING". Now I can completely get how that looks but, 1)they could've just looked at cameras 2)the approach was terrible and extremely uncalled for. While proceeding to approach me with 2 other "things" ($7 hourly associates) trying to intimidate me, the manager touches my PURSE ?!? Over (2) $1.25 items that I already put down prior to searching my bag and pockets . Very disgusting and how this was handled because I am far from a thief. Door hours say they open at 8 am. It's 9:10 am on a Monday and nobody on site. Doors locked. People coming and trying to open the door and then leaving. Such a waste of everyone's time. read more

This place is a dollar mecca. Was looking for gold things and i found tons of gold wedding stuff, jewelry, hats, accessories - stuff that the other dollar tree definitely didnt have. Its new so its relatively organized and the lady behind the counter was totally nice and told me the secret of those "gift for a boy/girl" bags which i swore to keep secret. Dollar stores. You see them and you tend to expect the worst; dinky, ugly places full of useless items, with the occasional disillusioned and depressed staff sweeping the messy aisles or manning the cash register. Some dollar stores I've visited are the stuff of nightmares. Dollar Tree greatly surpassed my expectations by being a very clean and welcoming store, powered by mostly cheery employees (that alone is a miracle). It has a very good inventory and I was able to buy a lot of good household products cheaply. This visit took me by surprise and I will certainly be back next time I need a notebook, scotch tape, cleaning products or a cat toy! read more

As with all businesses, there is a revolving staff over the years. Past reviews tell about awful customer service, but today, May 2023, i have nothing but great things to say. 2 VERY nice ladies helped me figure out an alternative to an item they were out of, helped me to my car with bags, and the man who checked me out went out of his way to go grab bigger bags for my larger items. Being one of the newer Dollar Trees around town, it's well-lit, clean and organized. I love browsing here and always end up buying something that I can use. Recently, I bought four plain white name-brand T-shirts for a project at $1 each (vs. $5 or so from Hobby Lobby). Another time I found TV brand hangers, the kind that saves closet space because 5 things can hang on one hanger, for $1 each vs. regular retail price of $8 & up. Lots of good deals to be had! I ended up with 16 or so items in my cart, all of which i HAD to have, since they were a buck each. I absolutely love Dollar Tree and was delighted to find them here in Austin. New to the area, I always shopped there in Chicago. This one is off the highway right near a Target, so if you don't find what you need at Dollar Tree, you can probably get it at Target. Dollah "Make Yo Momma Holla" Store!! This store is always clean and the staff always friendly and helpful. And now they have a frozen food section! Their school/office supplies section is awesome, as is their kitchen stuff like foil and freezer bags, garbage bags, etc. This was my go to place when I needed to find white Elephant gifts for my work colleagues. Surprisingly, I found a lot of items I would never have expected to be here at Dollar Tree. From gift bags, candle holders, and even frozen foods, Dollar Tree is a store that has a variety of things you may need last minute, or for during the holiday season. I recently bought several holiday goodies here (gift wrapping paper, Christmas signs). They have a whole aisle dedicated to toys (fyi parents). The prices of items can be cheaper than your average Walmart or HEB. But I recommend doing your research beforehand if you want to know what Dollar Tree items are worth it. My favorite part about this Dollar Tree is the friendly staff. One cashier named Adam was extremely nice and asked how my day was. He also apologized for the long wait in line as someone before us had bought over $100 worth of stuff, all that was going to be donated to charity. He even guessed that I was a UT student and asked if there was a game going on this Saturday. All in all, I walked into the Dollar Tree store with low expectations and came out with a smile. read more

As dollar stores go, this Dollar Tree is one of the better ones I've ever visited (and being the cheap-a...er, frugal person I am, I've visited a few). It appeared here in 2006, after this newly-remodeled strip mall had been sitting mostly-vacant for quite some time. Anyway, probably in part due to its newness, this Dollar Tree is clean and well-kept. It is also quite large. It seems to be continually stocked with fresh, interesting merchandise. In addition to the regular dollar store fare (off-brand cleaning supplies, cheap tools and toys, bath and beauty products, candles, etc.), it's a terrific source for gift bags, greeting cards, mylar balloons, and novelty paper products for parties (napkins, plates, that kind of thing). They also carry the obligatory boxed and canned food, although their stuff generally looks fresher and isn't all dusty and beat-up looking (and they carry Pringles for those days when they're not on sale elsewhere). Other random things of interest I've found here and either purchased or thought about purchasing: pretty nice plates and mugs, cute baby t-shirts, cheap jewelry). And there's more where that came from, too. Dollars may not grow on trees, but it's easy to spend them here as if they did. read more

This is the dirtiest and poorest kept store I have been to in a long long time. I wonder when it has been vacuumed last, because it surely hasn't been recently. Yuck. I get that in the late afternoon you may see a need for shelf organization, but this place has boxes and clutter and literal trash everywhere. Oh and the icing was when the woman who checked me out was on her personal phone the ENTIRE time talking about lawyers and child support and never once looked up at me. Normally I would love this store except some weird thing happen I went in put it on my bank card lo and behold I was charge four times I went in and told manager he handed me 1-800 number so then I went to bank and disputed charges they removed them and asked why did the not just put on my card ? so beware take cash it is hell and a lot of gas to be driving back and fourth if you live south and have too go north. read more

Wasn't sure whether to laugh or be offended, maybe the employee was joking with us. We walked in and were greeted with "Y'all got four minutes until we close". Two minutes the announcement came again, this time telling us that if we weren't at the counter in two minutes, we'd have to come back tomorrow to pick up our stuff. The guy in front of me got to the counter and said "Yay, he made it in time" and she retorted with the intellectually deep response of "Mmmmhmm".
