The staff is so friendly and seems like a family. The prices are 10% under comp eateries. It's as if the owners took the best part of all fine dining and combined them. Here it is a relaxed but respectful environment with food that you would think comes from a Michelin rated spot. The clientele is eclectic and younger. I'm 47 so I am not like those around me but can see the client base. I'm not sure if it's the minimal menu (please take this as an anti Cheesecake Factory comment) or the items compliments that are setting it apart. What I mean is the steak by itself is amazing. Truly a top 10 steak (ribeye at $48) or the accompanying sauce that it setting it apart. I advise take two to three bites from different stations of the meat. Then take the same bites with their paired glaze. Make your own decisions. You aren't telling the full story if you didn't pair it with a great house Bonanza cab (actually on happy hour except for Fridays). The verdict. This place will be one I will always take clients to when visiting Dallas. The verdict on me is that I'm a steak based reviewer so I might be wrong on all other aspects but the only likely wild card here would be the salads and seafood. I'm not here at a steakhouse for anything else. My wife can write that review. Last PS is that Dave the bartender is nice and accommodating and will let you explore the space . He is matter of fact but possibly could be a friend if not already to all. Watching Dave now live with his regulars says that he balances all customers very well. Negatives. Parking is just slightly odd. There is plenty of it and valet is free to customers. Let's not worry. No rush to get here at 5. The regulars and common come in around 6 as all others do on a Friday (this was my second night after being here for Thursday) Food has arrived. App is the carpaccio and holy shit wow. Not some boring small plate that exudes poor people suck. It's above average size like it should be . I'm not sure why the garlic bread is hear other than a nod to old school. My steak is in a to go box (nicely wrapped with utensils and yes that matters when you travel). This is my steak and if it sucks I'll remove the review. I'm kidding as it's a to go. This is a real world review. I do one long review every few years.

The wife and I went here on a Saturday night for a date night. The restaurant is one giant room…read morethat must seat at least 200 people. There were long tables for large groups. There are booths along the wall, although we were seated in the middle of this giant room. The restaurant is modern and has an upscale vibe. Dress ranged from casual to people getting dressed up. For starters, we shared the Oysters Rockefeller. They were not my favorite. The flavors were not balanced and there was too much garlic. A couple of the oysters were extremely chewy and had to be discarded. At $18, they were a disappointment. For entrees, the wife had the Branzino and liked it, although she mentioned several times that the Branzino at Zeppole is much better. I ordered the Bistro steak which is a 9 oz tenderloin. The meat was cooked to medium as requested. However, it was not seasoned at all. I guess the cook thought that the peppercorn would compensate, but I got my sauce on the side and ate the meat without. Only after I found out that the steak was not seasoned did I add the sauce. The sauce was ok but did not have a lot of flavor. I have had better. A big problem was that the "steak knife" that I was given was so dull that it was impossible to cut the steak across the grain. I could only sort of tear at the meat as I cut with the grain. The knife needed to be serrated and it was not. It was not a proper steak knife, which made eating the steak a chore. The meat was tender, but certainly not Prime and certainly not the most tender tenderloin that I have ever had. At $31, which is very inexpensive for tenderloin, I guess you get what you pay for. The fries were thin and crisp and the best part of the entree. For dessert, the wife and I shared a piece of pecan pie and it was excellent. Not too sweet, but sweet enough. Our server Marcella was professional and efficient. No complaints. There is complimentary valet parking. The concept behind this restaurant is an affordable steak house. These days, the cost for two people at an upscale steak house will easily exceed $300. Our bill at Steakyard was about half of that. Once again, you get what you pay for. Our meal was good, but not great. I could easily go 3 stars but I will bump it up one star based on the ambience, service, and dessert.

Kenny's Wood Fired Grill -- A Legendary Dining Experience!…read more Chef Kenny Bowers is a legend here in DFW, and Kenny's Wood Fired Grill is a perfect example of why! Five stars across the board! From the atmosphere and service to the outstanding food, this restaurant scores perfectly in every category. The ambiance is amazing! Nicole greeted us with a genuine smile and welcoming spirit before escorting us to our table. Our server, Felicity, was exceptional! She took the time to explain the menu, highlight the specials, and offer thoughtful recommendations. We took her advice and started with the delicious bread and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. What a great beginning! The soup was mouthwatering and bursting with flavor. For our entrée, we ordered the Caesar salad topped with blackened salmon. Absolutely outstanding! Without question, one of the best salads I've ever eaten! This was a lunch visit, and every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. Our next visit will definitely be for dinner! I wholeheartedly recommend adding Kenny's Wood Fired Grill to the very top of your must-try list. Go sooner rather than later! Our first visit to Wicked Butcher in Dallas for DFW Restaurant Week delivered on every front…read more Downtown parking is tough, and the third-party valet runs $15, but the interior makes an immediate impression with sharp decor and an open view into the kitchen. We started with the Smoking Barrel, mixed with rye, Peychaud's, Angostura, peach bitters, orange peel, and smoked mesquite. The fresh popovers served alongside the first course were airy, warm, and a standout touch on their own. The fried calamari was crisp and tender, served with remoulade, marinara, and grilled lemon. The braised tenderloin hummus was equally well-executed, topped with chili oil, onion ash, and green onions with warm pita. For the mains, both cuts of meat arrived cooked to temperature and seasoned with precision. The 6oz filet mignon came paired with cacio e pepe ravioli, while the 12oz ribeye was served alongside asparagus and marbled potatoes. The wine pairing selections matched the steak courses well without overpowering the plates. Dessert closed out strong. The banana pudding featured a rich banane du Brésil custard, vanilla wafers, and toasted coconut, while the chocolate tart balanced dark chocolate over a hazelnut crust with peanut butter mousse. Food and service were top tier from start to finish. Five stars, and we will be back.

People in our party of 5 had been to Fort Worth and really enjoyed it- especially the corn crème brûlée.....So we tried Dallas. Would direct people back to Fort Worth. I can't recommend our server, he was transactional, short and not interactive and it was as if he was in the wrong position. Other servers seemed welcoming and friendly. The bread was DELICIOUS! The food was decent. I enjoyed my lamb chops(although more rare in spots), but not the mix that was underneath it. The two that got the salmon said it was ok, a bit overcooked and they also didn't care for the mix underneath. The filet was stupendous and the cowboy was really delicious. They really liked the mac&blue cheese- if you don't like blue cheese, I would steer clear! Portions were good. I guess stick to the steaks! The vanilla/sprinkles circular layered birthday cake with a huge sparkler candle was awesome! It WAS included-complimentary, and it was a large portion!!

Our server, Miles, was genuinely friendly and warm, with great suggestions to match. He struck that ideal balance of attentive without hovering, and he made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. We opted for lighter lunches, a few salads and tacos, and everything was excellent. The ingredients are clearly high quality, and you can tell real thought went into building the menu. It's the kind of food that proves "light lunch" doesn't have to mean settling. The atmosphere deserves its own mention. The Southern aesthetic is done beautifully: country music in the background, thoughtful decor, and an easy, inviting energy. Everyone working was friendly, and it showed in the overall experience. Whether you're local or just passing through, this one is worth the stop. Highly recommend.

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

I will say we atleast liked the atmosphere and ambiance better at 1845 than we did at Rustico. But it was more of the same- incredibly overpriced BLAND food. Not at all worth the price you're paying, severely lacking in flavor, and takes waaaaay Too long to be delivered to your table after ordering. We started with the Texas Trio and we did enjoy that. It is kind of hard to mess up queso, salsa and pimento cheese- however we did say that was one thing we would eat again and was worth its value. My husband and other son bothe ordered cheeseburgers at $22 a pop and both said the burger they get at local pint was a million times better and a lil cheaper. I got the smothered chicken and It was very disappointing! The chicken was so bland it was like a notch above school cafeteria food (seriously) I swapped the rice for mashed potatoes and they were good (not great but good) and the Brussels sprouts which were really tasty but VERY small Portion for price. I've eaten at incredibly high end steak places that charge the same For a side of sprouts and give you more than double what I got tonight at 1845. The birthday boy got a strip steak and potatoes and he gave each of us a bite. $49 for this steak- a good size- but NO FLAVOR at all. Last but certainly not least- our server was nice enough and attentive HOWEVER he had on the Meta glasses that record people and that made our entire table very uncomfortable. My son said he had seen tik tok accounts where waiters record their patrons and post it! (Not saying he was but it definitely changed the atmosphere of our dinner) He also seemed notably disappointed and different after we didn't order the $49 appetizer and no alcohol. Visible mood shift but he did remain professional. All in all, we are baffled by the good reviews. And very very surprised at the quality of product and price point considering Marty Bs coffee has AMAZING food quality and pricing and so does the restaurant, just doesn't seem to be translating to the other establishments. :-(

The Italian meat is an absolute MUST! Super flavorful the sausage was. The spicy sauce isn't that spicy either. I also had the Lobster Mac & Cheese. This is not your typical Mac and cheese. More like shells with cheese. The lobster though is plentiful and good. The Mac and cheese was almost the same size and the pasta Zaza. I wished the Zaza was a larger portion but it was still good.
