Van is a HORRIBLE STORE OWNER!!! NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD First, ONLY & LAST time I will be coming here. Brianna is the nail tech that did my services. She does a fine job but she had a few mistakes with my services nothing bad overall just a few nicks which did hurt but apart of the process. She did my French pedi & it was in fact very chipped! FIRST ISSUE She used her nails to clean the edges at times so that was why. I called to get my toes fixed the next day when I noticed it. I was told you anything you need fixed you must return to the person that serviced you. Which was false because, Bri the next day called at 8:27am asking me to come in at 9 & also said anyone can service you. Now at this point two staff members in the same place are saying two different things. SECOND ISSUE Long story short Bri scheduled me for 7:40pm (aftr hrs) it's an appt only nail salon. I told her I couldn't come at 9am when she called me 8:27am. I missed my appt honest mistake. I forgot to call saying I won't be able to make it. By 8:15pm that night I received a phone call about the missed appt from Brianna she said she was upset I didn't show up for my appointment. I understood why she would be upset & profusely apologized countless times about 10+ times because I understood my mistake in not calling kept her at work for longer than she needed to be. At that time I asked her when she would be next available because I still need to have my toes fixed & I felt so bad at what just happened I wanted to compensate her. I let her know I will definitely compensate her I know it wouldn't change me not showing for my appt but at least I wanted her to know I am truly sorry and wanted to show her with compensation as well. She told me she'll be off for the next couple of days (Sun-Mon) but wanted to call and tell me that she's upset and don't know what to do because she's so angry I missed the appt. SHE DID NOT EVER MENTION A POLICY! I let her know no problem I'll call next week & come whenever I am able to. After all that transpired, I thought "water under the bridge" because a PERSON IS DOING THEIR BEST TO CORRECT A MISTAKE THEY MADE AS WE NATURALLY DO AS HUMANS NO INSTEAD I WAS BLOCKED! Which is SO silly because I came to get my services done initially what makes you think I can't drive back there? So I did! That's when Van the manager let me know that her and Bri talked & decided they will not give me any services because of "policy". A policy that Brianna never mentioned on the phone at any point on our phone call because she was "so upset she didn't know what to do" if she didn't allow emotions to take over and just do her job & mention policy then obviously I wouldn't be calling again to get my toes. Then I find out I'm BLOCKED! Explain to me how this is a resolution for a customer that paid $230 for services ALREADY & needed to come back to GET MY TOES FIXED THAT BRIANNA MESSED UP I came to Van & acknowledged yes I was wrong I made a mistake and did whatever I thought was a way to make amends because once again I MADE THE MISTAKE. Instead Van and Bri decide the best resolution was to block me?! Instead of Van as the manager saying something like "I know you were unaware of the policy but we do have a policy, I understand you made a mistake and wanted to correct it, moving forward in order to continue to receive services policy has to be respected" Ok NO PROBLEM at the point I would KNOW your policy & respect it!!! Instead Van offered no resolution to help and I will make it my MISSION now to post this review EVERY WHERE. YELP, REDDIT, BBB, Trip Advisor, Tiktok, IG, EVERYWHERE !!!!!!! Van is A TERRIBLE MANAGER do NOT offer this place ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY Brianna is an emotional and reactive mess, like girl please make sure to keep this same energy next time in life you make a mistake. You explained to me you were upset you waited 30 mins for me & I apologized many times & OFFERED COMPENSATION for my mistake This company gives NO GRACE now I will make sure you all get NO GRACE!!! Van is amazing, I won't go anywhere else to get my nails done. Such a nice, clean, and relaxing salon. You must make an appointment far in advance, but that just shows how good she is! She is always on time for your appointment and is focused on you, This is not one of those busy noisy salons where they are trying to get you in and out quickly just to make more money. Taco Nails Atascocita is the only place where I will get my nails done. Van has recently taken over as the owner last month. I love that it is Appointment only and is always running on schedule. Van has recently taken over this location. She is fantastic. Very pleasant. Very skilled and great at what she does. I love the convenient location. This is a by appointment only salon. They make it very simple to book your appointments online. I love the dip powder manicures. They have a fantastic selection of colors. Also tried a pedicure today which was very relaxing. Van was able to color match my polish to my dip powder color perfectly! Dip powder is so much healthier for my nails. I love that my nails aren't drilled on. They've been growing faster, getting strong, and getting longer. I would definitely recommend Van & this Taco Nail location. I always leave very pleased with my service & very relaxed. I got a refill done here for yhe very first time yesterday, Billy did a design I did NOT ask for, and didn't file the powder from under the nails or clean then up, the gel he placed on my nails has bubbles on each nail....... I was excited to go here because of the excellent reviews that are online, and this was my birthday gift to myslef. I tried to call and make an appointment, but the phone call was hung up before I verified that it was okay to walk in. She did say 10am, so I showed up hoping I understood her correctly. I was the only customer there, but I felt like I was imposing on the employees, they barely said anything to me, not even "good morning." There were gestures on what to do, but, especially with my manicure, I felt like a rag doll, getting my hands and fingers thrown around. The manicure wasn't good, by the end of it, my nails weren't even and I had to fix them when I got home. The pedicure looked average, but nothing to call home about. I don't know why the customer service was awful, but i didn't even feel like I could say anything because I was given the feeling of being a nuisance for being there.... So today I called in to make an appointment, and they let me know that my normal guy to do my nails is no longer there.. so I was skeptical to go to someone new but I went anyways to give it a try.. I'm impressed honestly. John did my nails and he was great! He's very nice and did a very good job for my birthday nails! In my years of pampering myself in getting my nails and pedicures done, Tammy is by far the most knowledgeable nail tech I've encounter! She's very patient, personable and her work speaks volume! The Salon is very clean and their color choice in nail polish is endless (OPI, Essie, Morgan Taylor, Orly to name a few of the brands)! So awful. I went yesterday and got a manicure from a women with reddish brown dyed hair. It was my first time I decided to give the place a spin based off of some of the great reviews. I feel bad for the pedicure girl I like. She works in a horrible shop that not only over charges you, but does quick sloppy fills! Was given a pedicure I didn't ask for and charged $38 and charged $20 for a $15 fill that I didn't even have them paint. I got mine about 45 minutes ago and already lifting and chipping. Decided to give this place another try. The last time I came I had made an appointment for a friend and I. When I got there I was told to wait 15 minutes. Then it turned into 20/30 so I left. Today I arrived at 9:00 am and decided to wait outside to see if I could get an appointment when they open at 9:30. Luckily there was a no show for 9:30am so I was able to get in. UPDATE make an appointment walk ins really aren't welcome. I loved my first time there but with a little one I can't always make an appointment. The day I tried they were all booked tried another day and they were mostly booked that day too. First time here for just a pedicure and it was great. TONS of color choices huge plus! Best massage chairs I've sat in you can actually feel the massage. Sterilized tools. They charged $26 for a regular pedicure and $25 on top of that for shellac polish and I just got home and notice my nail is chipped. Not too much attention to detail. I have been seeing Billy and Tina at Nails 2 U for over 10 years now. I don't even live in the Atascocita area any longer but, my parents still do and whenever I'm in town and need a mani/pedi, I will always go see them. Billy is extremely talented with designs. He can mimic one if you bring him a picture or if you just give him an idea of what you want, he'll make it happen. My mom doesn't spoil herself with mani/pedis but I have started taking her and she loves coming here, especially for the pedis. Billy and Tina are almost always booked so be sure to make an appt. Walk-ins are a little harder here. Salon is clean, all the staff members are friendly and speak English, they have a large variety of colors both in shellac, reg. polish, acrylic/solar nails, gels. I've never had a bad experience or bad mani/pedi here. Also, they know almost all of their frequent customers by name. Great place! read more
