Mimi always done my nails. Most of the time I come in with crazy flashy and expensive ideas for my nails and she always gets me, and other times I have no idea what I want so I let her go crazy. The first time I did she chose the most beautiful colors and shape and I just absolutely love! She is one of the best technicians that I have ever come to meet, and I've tried many places from NE to NW Houston. Anyone else can't do nails there! You'll be disappointed if you come here. I called asked how much shellac manicures costs and was told $20. So I made an appointment and went in. (I was late though because I mistakenly drove to another salon) when I arrived I was happy they could still do my nails. I showed them a picture and the man working there said they could do it. I was sat at the first table and the woman didn't speak English but I didn't care and just showed her the picture. She said okay and started working. I noticed that she left my previous color of blue on and that there was bubbles and imperfections in 6 nails! So I of course pointed it out and she got mad! Push my hands back said something in another language and the guy had to walk over! He came and asked what was wrong and she pointed to the next table demanding me to leave her table. So I did. Went to his table where he was slightly more polite and said he would fix it. He sanded the nails down and asked where I got the blue from and I told him it was the old color and the First Lady didn't remove it. He tried to fix it and the blue and bubbles were gone but the nails are still nothing like the picture I asked for. The tops are crooked, the white French tip is overly thick and a different shape than what I asked for. Much to my disappointment, I was charged $40! So I tipped $8 even though it was horrible and my birthday is tomorrow and I have the worst nail job I've ever had in my life. The lady also cut me twice with the sander. A girl before me tipped $5 on an entire acrylic set and I wonder how someone could tip $5 on a $70 service, and now I understand. I've included picture and the left is what I wanted and the right I kept explaining was a crystal overlay but they just shook their heads no and put a glitter polish even though I explained it was not the same. I was very clear on what I wanted. I'll never ever go to this place again. It's said though because the lady in the back seemed so nice and she was the one I spoke to over the phone. read more

First time I went it was fine, my nails were soar after acrylics but I didn't think much of it. The lady (not Mimi) didn't talk to me or anything which was fine but knowing Mimi she would try to make conversation with me. Anyways, the second time went the lady ( again not Mimi) burned me with some chemicals that got on my fingers and my nails were soar for about a week straight. I mean don't get me wrong, the nails looked great but the pain was terrible and for a lady that said she had been doing it for over 10 years, she didn't do a great job handling chemicals while working on my nails. If you're gonna go, I suggest asking for Mimi because she is really nice and does an amazing job. And after all she is the one who's nail salon this is. read more

My first try at this salon is a terrible experience. I called a bead of time and was lied to and told no wait time. It took 5 minutes to get there and there was 3 people waiting. Wonderful amazing service. Mimi does an amazing job with nails, I have full sets done from time to time and on every occasion she has done a consistently good job. Nails are very thin, natural looking and evenly shaped, which is important to me. I have never left unhappy.
