I want to start by saying I am a mom and a teacher. Those that share the same titles know that getting your nails done is the truly a luxury, at least it is for me. I usually have medium length natural length nails. Life's stress's caused me to pick up a year's past habit of nail biting and wanted a full set to stop my biting. I called prior to arriving and asked availability and was told that I could come in within the half hour. When I arrived two technicians were working on the lone client of the shop. I was asked to pick a color and wait at a nearby station. I sat waited about 10 minutes before a male tech came in from the parking lot and began to work on my hands. He was very gentle and very fast, and that is where the compliments end. My nails are of varying lengths and various shapes, each nail has an almost bulbous look and some are nearly as wide as finger and leaves me wondering how. The process was actually the fastest I have ever experienced, and I unfortunately did not feel inclined to leave a tip as the tech returned to his car and left never asking if I was satisfied with the finished product. Well I guess I'll be the first male to review this salon. I have a mani/pedi done once a month and Annie does a fantastic job keeping my nails looking professional. I don't get all the frills she has to offer just a straight up man's manicure / pedicure. And men don't be afraid of going here. It's not unmanly to look good from your hair to your nails. She does appointments only but is always able to work me into both our busy schedules . My appointments are one of the few times a month that I can sit & relax not worrying about work and other hectic life responsibilities. I highly recommend Taco Nail not only for the great job she does on my nails but the opportunity to enjoy the hour of "me time" that our lifestyles so begrudgingly allow. read more

I love this nail spa! They always take really good care of my cuticles. They Offer great designs and take their time when designing & shaping my nails. Just make sure that when booking you specify what you want. Like if you want cuticle care and nail design you have to let them know in advance so that they can be sure to schedule enough time to give your nails the proper attention. Also, this location is an appointment only nail spa, so you CANNOT just walk in. Which would probably be the only bummer since sometimes nail accidents and breaks happens. A touch up in those incidents make it impossible because they're ALWAYS booked. The nail technicians are super kind and friendly. I always get they're Dip Powder with a nail design and cuticle care for my hands and the ultimate shellac pedi for my feet. read more

Long time customer who I personally sent hundreds of friends to Annie when she just started out! She had very few customers as most in the beginning. And that is why I helped her grow her business. Now she has own shop. I walked in 6 minutes late for an appt that she booked for 2 hours. I walk in...she yells from the back..."IM GOING HOME! YOU ARE LATE!" She had to call me out in front of the nail salon. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! AND NO PHONE CALL TELLING ME SHE COULDNT DO IT. Nothing! I drove from Conroe just to turn around and go back. 40 miles!!!!!!! My advice to her is: RULE #1 in business is NEVER BITE THE HANDS THAT FEED YOU!!!! Lol didn't even ask if I wanted to make an appointment to come back as I awkwardly stood there in the EMPTY salon with her. What a awesome find. Where else can you go for personalized service. Annie is upfront with all her prices and services. No surprises. Also she takes her time and doesn't rush. She doesn't double book, your appointment is your appointment. It's nice to listen to music of your choice. Siri please play... and Annie say what would you like to listen to? Annie at Taco nail In Kingwood is the best! I have been to her twice and will go back forever Until I move away. She does the best dip powder manicures I have ever experienced and I have done a lot of manicures in my day. She takes her time, doesn't ruin your nail bed, they last for almost 3 weeks (and I'm in healthcare and rough on my hands) and she does amazing detail oriented designs. Very clean and nice technician. Just was not impressed with the 60 dollars I spent on my pedicure. You get a variety of stuff done but, not enough of something you actually need. My cuticles were barely trimmed and I had really bad dead skin/cracks on my feet. Not much scrubbing on the dead skin. Feet deftly semi soft that day but next day it was like they barely did anything. I would have gladly dropped one of the services included in the package for extra time scrubbing the dead skin off of my feet. read more

Appointments only - no waiting when you get there, no rushing, etc. No strong smells. Everything was very clean and they are adhering to COVID regulations. Annie did a fabulous job. She takes such pride in her work and pays careful attention to detail. Her dip nails last me 3-4 weeks! Screw the person below who wrote a negative review that had never even been there and was upset that when she called, Annie informed them that she doesn't do acrylic and only dip. Annie believes in dip as a superior choice to acrylic and so should you! Acrylic damages your nails way more and it smells up the whole shop which is why she chooses not to do it. She talked me into doing dip as my nails had been destroyed by the meds I have to take and she was right! I have beautiful nails that last a full two weeks.
