Update. It's the next day and the index finger nail broke. Again instead of cleaning the entire dip off the nail, she scraped off some and started with a botched base. Don't these techs know you need a clean base to start with? Otherwise nails will break and colors will be off because of the poor foundation!!!! I'm top of the she thought I wasn't looking and dip my finger in acrylic powder then back to regular dip power. THAT IS A NO NO!! You are never supposed to go back and forth between acrylic-dip-and gel . The only good thing I can say about this session was that she knew I was there yesterday and they recognize me. So because it was less than 24 hours later, she said I did not have to pay. Thank you, VIP for that. And again, I will give you two stars. Yelp! $35 "deluxe pedicure" included foot spa, exfoliation, cleaning, sugar scrub and hot stone massage of feet and legs, lotion, and hot towel wraps, plus polish. Choice of water, soft drink, coffee, or wine (today's offering was Franzia boxed chardonnay). Niece's acrylic refill, cut, reshape, and gel polish cost $35.50. No massage. (Was told only basic manicure, $15, included massage.) SNS did NOT feature nails dipped in water, NOR massage. Just polish removal (acetone-soaked cotton with plastic clips, instead of aluminum foil, so kudos on eco-friendly), cut for shorter length, gelous base polishes and dipping powders, nail shaping, and cuticle oil application. $40, but additional "one-time fee" of $5 to remove old polish color. Oh, and top coat was finished with two one-minute curing per hand under UV oven- strange! I mean, one reason people opt to pay more for SNS instead of gel mani is to avoid exposure to the UV oven! Niece had Mimi as her pedi tech and Cindy as her mani tech, for a total of $70.50. (My belated birthday present to her, and I tipped 20% to each tech, too.) I had Cathy for both deluxe pedi and SNS ($80).** When I requested for Cathy to have my right thumb nail reshaped for a straighter edge, she scoffed and said "it's real nail," like this was a ridiculous request. (She already had another customer waiting to take my seat.) Guess that's a "no" for straighter edges on a few other nails, then. No cleaning, no massages, an additional $5 for a fee that the cashier did not know I was charged for, had me wishing for better service and more transparency. **Had service been a lot better and included more of what other salons typically offer with their nail services (and I've visited nail salons all over the east coast, in the Midwest, and in AZ), with more transparency, I would've tipped Cathy 20%, and I had even considered giving $20, but I did not receive proper cleaning, massage, and was scoffed at at the end of service, with her next customer standing behind me waiting for me to stand up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NAIL SALON. VIP Nails and Spa was not what I excepted. I hear a lot of people go in to this place and enjoy their service but not in my case. I went with my mother as a walk-in. I just wanted a refill, I was told there wouldn't be a opening till 12. No biggie I would just wait for my mother while she is doing her service. Then I was surprised in 5 minutes that one of the workers came in and able to see me which I was thrilled. I sat down at the station the woman came up and said" just a refill ?" I said "yes" then without even coloring matching she started drilling and applying the basic dark pink that a French tip would acquire! No cut down nothing I knew that she was not interested in dealing with me at all. She was more interested in a regular client to speak to her! Once she was done she slapped on oil on my cuticles and left me to speak to another client! Didn't even say I was done she just left me. I even heard her say "I came to you I forgot all about her!" I was not happy at all and wasted $25 on a rushed service. Look at the pictures and you will see there is no integrity in this women's work! I was asked by the front desk how was the service. I told her I wasn't happy she took my name and number and apologized. She was very nice and was truly sorry about what had took place and said she would tell her I wasn't happy. Went to the nail salon at 9:30am this morning to get a new set and a pedicure. It was my first time trying this place I usually go to the other location. I asked for a neon yellow and Mindy my nail tech convinced me to do acrylic with shellac on top when I have been doing color powder. It started out OK until she cut me twice and then she applied the white coat before the yellow so the yellow can look brighter. Which was great because I've had that done before and it came out amazing. The first coat she did that was white was all splotchy and I assumed after applying a couple coats of the yellow it would cover it. She finished applying three coats of the yellow on top of one coat of white and my nails were looking all bubbly and Disproportionate. She noticed I was looking at my nails and asked if everything was OK and if anything was wrong I told her I was unhappy with how thick They came out and what does she think? I mean anyone who would look at my nails can see what was wrong with them. She said well what do you want me to do and I said well what can you do at this point so she drilled off the shellac and started over. As she went to paint the nails again she drop the nail polish brush two times on the floor and kept painting my nails with it. At least they were looking how they should've looked the first time around. She was close to being done but by this point she was rushing now because it's already been two hours and her appointment had just walked in. First and last time I go to this location. At least I can say my lady who did the pedicure did amazing but by the time I left I waisted all my morning there. 9:30am-1:00pm read more

Now i was a walk in on a mid saturday afternoon and I will admit that I did have to wait..but I was in no hurry! They have a sign in sheet, which is nice! Once I got taken back I did sit in my pedi chair for awhile with my feet soaking but I was taking full advantage of the massage chair as my back was spasming badly! Once they got started, I thought she was very gentle as usually I am kind of ticklish. I talked to her about reflexology, which she did use a bit and chat with me about it! I thought she did a very nice job, I was relaxed and enjoying it, since it had been awhile for me since my last pedi! Now the waxing girl was great, she really took her time to make sure my eyebrows were done right! I was way overdue and was very pleased. They give a "rewards" card of sorts for discounts once you have visited so many times. I thought the customer service was great. Got a classic pedicure, not many polishes to choose from, but from what there were the brands were quality (OPI and the like). The massage was nice and longer than most salons I go to. Prices were very affordable, and if it weren't for the fact that I'm renovating my home I would have jumped at a manicure which was only $12 (Classic pedicure was $22). For only $35, the Deluxe pedicure takes about an hour and a half to complete, it comes with complimentary drinks of your choice, and the atmosphere is quiet and serene, but laid back enough that you do not have to be dressed a certain way to be accepted in. My friend invited me out for girl talk since I have had a rough time lately. I walked in rather impressed at how lovely everything was and how nice it was! I went to sign in and no one was anywhere near the desk, no pen, just stood there for several minutes til someone waiting loaned me theirs. Sat down and waited until a very abrasive, rather rude woman came over and started asking questions about what I wanted, it felt like she was shouting at me. I think she's the manager. They took me back and put me in a pedicure chair, which I sat in for 30 minutes before anyone touched my feet. There were NO prices listed ANYWHERE! I had to ask about everything. I went with a deluxe pedicure and wanted them to refill my gel color nails and fix two of them that had broken. They told me it would be much cheaper just to get a full set, so then they tell me awhile later it's actually $50 for a full gel color set. The pedicure was underwhelming and the woman pulled a color out of her box and asked me if I wanted it and I said no because I didn't like it. So she kept asking without offering any other options. Only bright shiny pink. So I try to tell her other colors, and she keeps holding up a hideous pink. I started pointing to things that were the color I wanted. She completely ignored me and tried to paint my toes that color anyways. The woman next to her spoke to her in Vietnamese and she left coming back with 2 bottles of a very slightly different, not so hideous pink. I said no, can I please see the colors? Eventually I gave up and let her do the not so hideous pink. There was no use in asking for anything else. I didn't want to pay $50+ for gel nails, it was out of my budget so I just went for normal solid color. After the pedicure, I went to get my nails done, she ripped off my current nailed using her own nails, nothing to loosen them, just stuck her own nail under mine and ripped them off. I had chosen the color I wanted, a soft light pink and a sparkly black to use on one nail on each hand. She brings back again, a ridiculously bright pink, clearly not the color I had in my hand that I had chosen. I kept showing her the number and little nail and she kept saying it was the correct one when it very clearly was not. She was completely inattentive to my nails, didn't say a word to me. Just roughly moved my fingers around. She left ridges and bumps of the finished powder/nail on the underside, and cut them WAYYYYY too short. I rarely even have my natural nails this short. They are so small. Then when buffing took a huge chunk of powder on BOTH black nails, and didn't try to fix it, just shaved off more of the powder to try and make it even, and neither are at all. There is also a very clear noticeable parts of the nail with glitter and no glitter and rough ridges. The black nails were the only color she actually got right and they look hideous. I'm not sure if this woman has a pink preference and think everyone should wear pink but I DO NOT like bright pinks, hot pinks, dark pinks, really any type of pink on my nails or any other part of me except for one specific shade. And I was and still am upset my nails and toes are two different shades of bright Barbie pink. When checking out the manager was quick to add on a $5 charge for things that were never mentioned before. My friend was charged $5 for French tip. I got a $5 charge for the woman (Cindy is her name) to rip my nails off. It was also very clearly advertised on their website (no prices there either) and on the menu drinks are complimentary. I was never offered anything at any point in time. I saw one woman get a glass of wine and she was clearly a regular. I could see they have a couple regulars, and the place overall was nice, but I felt really cheated out of my treat to myself which I paid a RIDICULOUS sum of money for, then pressured for a tip. It was beyond infuriating to not receive good service, wait around for so long, not be able to actually even choose my own nail colors without some gross shade of pink being forced on me, have prices hidden from me and still be pressured to tip and get extra services. The spa is nice and all, but I will not be returning. I'm going to wait until these grow out, have them taken off and go to my normal nail salon and get my $40 gel color, relaxing, treat to myself with nice conversation and no pink in sight. Now, I don't have anything against people who like pink, but to have it forced down my throat and then have no one listen to me when I try to say what I want and have these outrageous prices hidden from me is not fair. I was really upset with my overall experience here. I can't wait til they grow out so I can changed. read more

This place looked promising at first. Nice atmosphere for a nail salon with lots of seats. Unfortunately, the manicure was the worst I've ever had in my life. My nails were filed in weird shapes down to the quick... Then she attacked my cuticles. After making me bleed once, all my cuticles were ragged... Looks like they were trimmed with a Weed Eater. Then the polish was applied in globs, all over the edges of my fingernails and dried all bumpy. I had to go home and give myself a manicure in an effort to salvage my poor cuticles and nails. All this for a place where a mani/pedi are on the expensive-ish side for the area ($34 for a basic mani/pedi.) Will not be returning. read more

She then agreed and began my nails at which time she mumbled under her breath the whole time and seemed to not want to perform the service. I informed her that if she did not want to do my nails I could go elsewhere. The manager came over, who also had an attitude. Made an appointment for my friend, my sister, and me to get a pedicure. The tub water was tepid (mind you they said there was a water main break yesterday and thus the water is not hot. Not sure how that effected the temperature but let us be accurate). Bathroom is dingy and looks like it hasn't been scrubbed ever. My pedicure went well, wish the woman doing the pedicure would have listened a bit more to my needs but I'm satisfied with my pedicure. Their front desk guy ; however, needs to learn how to be polite and courteous to customers. I pay my bill, leave an awesome tip because that's how I roll, and as I'm trying to get things situated back into my wallet he is shoving the appointment book where my wallet is and pushing it off the counter. I used to come here a lot, but the last two times have not been pleasant. Just this last time I asked for a mani and a pedi. The pedi was fine, but the mani was awful. The tech said that I had no cuticles(which I did) so she insisted she would just paint my nails and that would be it. She didn't massage my hands, no lotion, no soaking, just paint them, which was a horrible job. The paint was all on my cuticles, it looked like I painted them with my left hand. I felt very rushed, and when you go to a nail salon and feel that way you just know it isn't going to be a good experience. They also started putting plastic around the feet soaking area for "sanitary purposes", which I didn't know till the ladies started talking about it. After the tech started painting my toes, I realized there was no plastic in my soacking tub, which wasn't a clean feeling. Not going back here again. read more
