I've been this restaurant numerous amounts of times with my family and enjoyed going here for a few slices while my family had entrees, but today they denied me on eating in the back with my family cause they stated to me you can't bring slices to the tables in the back. So unfortunately I had to leave due to this and take my family somewhere else to eat. I don't understand the reasoning of not being able to eat a slice or two at the back table while my family eats their entrees. Came in around 7 and had to wait a bit for a table; they were thoughtful enough to give me a menu so I could order in advance and my pizza would be ready soon after getting seated. I got the Calabrese N'duja pizza, which is basically a margherita with bits of a spicy meat paste on top. The dough had a good texture, moist in the middle and crisp on the outside, thin but chewy throughout. The right amount of mozzarella and tomato sauce was used, and the n'duja added a unique dimension which was spicy and a little sweet and smoky. Oh man. Instantly head over heels for Table 87 and their perfectly made Margherita pizza... A couple friends and I ate here on a Tuesday night because we'd heard good things and had waited too long to visit this restaurant. No wait for a table (it was pretty empty other than some people grabbing food to-go), and the service was quick and attentive. We ordered a few drinks and a 20" Margherita pie and, honestly, WHO KNEW it was going to be as large as it was??? Very impressed with the size of it and it was plenty for three people. There was a perfect amount of sauce and the cheese tasted really fresh, with just a little spring to it like I like. I've been to their other location before but don't remember being as impressed. Maybe it was because I was in need of some booze soaking carbs that this regular slice tasted soooo good. Not overheated...just right. One slice is almost like a personal Margherita mini-pie. This is the best pizza I've had in the city so far. Boom. Take my view with a grain of salt because I've only been here once BUT it was incredible. We walked in on a Wednesday night and ordered the prosciutto and arugula 12" pie to go for $16. It was ready in about 8 minutes. Note that the more expensive pizzas are the ones on the blackboard. The whole menu is on the counter. I also love that they sell a bunch of other products in the front like sauces and olive oil. We took our pizza down to the Brooklyn Piers to watch the sunset so maybe that made it taste extra good. The prosciutto was delicious, the crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and it was just the right size for 2. It is pricier than you really should pay for pizza, but it's quality stuff. Food was good but staff served my husband his food and then left me sitting there without food for all three courses. There were children running around and parents did nothing and I just imagined a kid getting burned by a pizza oven... This review is for frozen pizza delivered to California. The overall flavor of the Magherita pizza was delicious, with good flavor and tasty sauce. Crust was crispy, maybe just a little too thin for us though. And we prefer just a tad more cheese. Very reasonable price to ship, 4 pizzas for $79. I just had pizza here and it was phenomenal! I have had pizza 4 times since I got to New York and this one blew the others out of the water. The toppings were plentiful and very fresh. The cheese covered the whole slice evenly. They didn't charge me for a side of marinara sauce and they heated it perfectly in the oven! I would highly recommend coming here! Table 87 has perfected the Margherita pie with the perfect blend of flavorful tomato sauce, homemade Mozzarella, and fresh basil on top of a chewy thin crust. I've ordered delivery from here several times and the pizzas have always been superb- one of the best slices of pizza I've ever had. I recommend adding hot Soppressata to the Margherita pie to take it to the next level. Let me be clear, the pizza was good and fresh and I really wanted to like it-- we live in Brooklyn Heights and had been meaning to come here sooner. Now we know we won't be back again. The service was so lame and amateurish, the waiter got the order wrong, and it is way too bright in there. Now I get that it is a pizza joint, so why was the waiter pushing the $60 bottle of wine? I think it has an identity crisis. Be a good restaurant or be a pizza joint with good pizza. What sealed its fate (and 2 star rating) was when we were assaulted with the smell of Mr. Clean as they started cleaning. The pizza is totally delicious. We ate in so I cannot attest to the delivery. We got our food hot and fresh. We had to wait a little bit for our pizza but when we tasted the thin crust, stretchy cheese heavily carbs, it was well worth the wait. The food is tasty, for sure, but the pizza is super expensive. We went with the Summer menu and skipped our favorites to try something new, and we are both glad we did! We had the zucchini flowers stuffed with smooth silky ricotta that came with a side of the lightest, dreamy pesto. We also had the octopus with pistachio and arugula. The octopus was slice super thin, so there was none of that "chew to death" feeling and you could really enjoy the sweetness of the octopus. Of course, we had to have pizza, and went with the clam pie. It had the juiciest, freshest, sweetest whole clams. You could almost taste the brine in the dough where the clam sat. I love their chewy delicious crust, but when dipped in the remaining pesto, it was a winning combo that exceeded my expectations! On my next visit, I'm gonna order a pie with a side of pesto to dip the crust again! Super service that made sure we were comfortable and had everything we wished for. Our outside table was a little tilted due to the pavement, so they were always super careful placing our food and very quick to whisk it away when we had all finished but not rush us in any way. read more

Four stars for good ingredients in their half margherita/half prosciutto pie. Subtract one for not enough of said ingredients haphazardly arranged...subtract another for charging $28 for said pie lacking said ingredients, and then charging another $9 for a plain ol' calzone filled only with ricotta cheese...are you kidding me?! I can get a bigger, better calzone filled with gooey cheese and saucy buffalo chicken for $7 right across the street from my apartment! As if that wasn't enough to sour my experience, there's a plot twist too...We were hanging at a bar that has no kitchen, but they're happy to let you bring in some grub from elsewhere. When asking for menus to peruse, the bartender and two patrons hastily recommended Table 87 and all but slammed just about anything eise I asked to look at. Despite personally having favorable experiences elsewhere, we opted for Table 87, and after the pizza was delivered, the delivery person brought two extra slices for the bartender and revealed to our group that the owner was sitting just two seats over from us this whole time. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive and it's just neighborhood small businesses being friendly with one-another, but I can't help but feel a bit slighted...whatever. After some intense games of 4v4 beach volleyball, just about anything would have satisfied our group. To literally still be STARVING after devouring two slices of pizza, however, is an unprecedented memory in my nearly three decades of pizza consumption. Was over at a bar on Smith Street and needed some food delivered. I'd also been meaning to try Table 87 for quite some time, so two birds with one stone. Of course, Seamless overestimated how long delivery would take, but I'll never complain about receiving pizza ahead of schedule. Ordered three pizzas (not all for me, I swear). Had the: -Fontina with wild mushrooms and truffle oil -Margherita pizza with fresh basil -Breakfast pizza with two farm eggs and house made pancetta First off, the pizza didn't suffer too much from having to travel, so I can thank the bike delivery dude for that. But yes, the thin crust (which is usually an asset) becomes tricky when your pizzas are loaded with toppings. Anyway, all the pizzas were great. Fresh basil makes everything delicious, and truffle oil is like cheating. The star of the meal was the breakfast pizza, though. If you like runny eggs on your pizza, then you owe it to yourself to try this one. But like I said, if you get it delivered, watch out for the structural integrity. What an awesome experience! I work in the neighborhood and was looking for a place to have dinner on a Thursday evening. I decided on Table 87 because they have pizza in addition to Italian dishes. We arrived shortly after 4 o'clock and were seated right away. During our meal, we discussed how small the dining area is. I am sure it gets packed around dinner time and on the weekends. The service was speedy and genuine. The man who served us also cooked our food which was pretty awesome. I'm assuming this is because it was slow at the time; however he was so sweet and really made us feel welcomed. The open kitchen allows guests a glimpse behind the scenes. It was really cool to see the food being prepared. I decided to have the homemade lasagna which was absolutely awesome! My boyfriend had a pasta dish with bolognese sauce. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious. Knowing that everything was freshly made was a bonus. For dessert, we both had a slice of the Nutella pie which included marshmallows, strawberries, and obviously Nutella. I thought it was incredibly good but my boyfriend hated all of the marshmallows. So if you are not crazy about them you might want to pass. Overall, we have already decided that we will be back to try the pizza. I most definitely recommend this place to all! read more

Coal fired ovens are a rare commodity in NY as the licenses are restricted due to fears of possible smog creation. As such, those pizza places who do have such ovens have a special responsibility to use their "factory" wisely. Thankfully Table 87 is cranking out really great pizza. What's great about wood or coal burning ovens is that they maintain an insanely high temperature - around 800 degrees. What this does: - imparts a special "fire and smoke charred" taste - provokes the ingredients to certain strong reactions. For example, a crust that isn't getting much heat just sits there. But when dough is put into a hot heat, magic can happen. It bubbles. It chars a bit. It becomes chewy and textured and unique. Likewise, cheese will re-define itself when blistered. At Table 87, which opened just 3 weeks ago, they specialize in big, shareable Margherita and vegetable pies (though additional toppings such as sausage, prosciutto, etc are available). The former is a traditional thin crust pie laden with a nice tomato sauce, islands of cheese and sprinkled with basil. The latter is a square pie with thicker crust and capped by layers of veggies. Or you can order these by the slice in the front room. They've also got 6 other 12" personal pies available, plus salads, paninis, calzones and other seasonal dishes. There's a nice dining area in the back and the staff are extremely friendly and proud. And they should be. Brooklyn is blessed with some of the best pizza places in the world and Table 87 can be added to that list of must-try joints. Just one bit of warning: vampires beware of the roasted garlic sauce. Came here on Sunday May 15th, sat down outdoors to eat and when it came to the bill I added a fair enough tip for the waiter Justin but apparently it wasn't enough for him so he took upon hisself to change the amount i put on the receipt to give his own tip amount. I noticed on my app the amount paid updated to something I didn't sign for, I called the next day and spoke with a worker Who then pulled up the my receipt transaction and stated he would give me back a refunded for my tip..
