Our usual sushi place no longer serves sushi, so we decided to try this after getting their menu in the mail. They have amazing rolls. We got the snakebite, Mexican maki, spider maki, and the King Kong rolls. Snakebite was really good and spicy. King Kong is deep fried, so it takes a little bit longer, but the crust is great. Everything is just as described. The interior is very clean and the people are nice.

I came here for takeout again last week since my cousin was staying over and loves sushi. This place is literally my go to place for take out whether it is for a party or just splurging on myself. I love the location because it's walking distance from where I live. I you love driving, there's always a spot right outside the restaurant where you can just park and run in to pick up your order. The pickup has always been smooth for me. They always give enough utensils/soy sauce/wasabi for takeout orders. I cannot wait to order from them more often now that the holidays are around the corner!

My experience at Sushi Pink was extremely positive. The owners and staff were very polite and patient with our table. The food was brought to us in a timely manner. The presentation was just as amazing as the taste and freshness of the dishes. I'm recommending anyone who wants excellent sushi in West Loop!

Cozy and intimate sushi place with friendly servers. The servers were attentive and professional. The sushi rolls were good especially with the portion of rice and filling. The sashimi was decent. We were a little disappointed that some of the pieces were still frozen. I understand to keep the fish fresh it needs to be kept in the freezer but it's not pleasant to bite in a hunk of ice which really takes away from the taste of the sashimi. We would try this place again because we did had a good time and enjoyed the rolls.

Great service to start with. But the star of the show is the sushi. I'm a big sushi fan and have been to many sushi restaurants, and this is one of the best by far. I loved the vibe and the fact that it's a BYOB restaurant it made the experience even better. I can't say enough good things about this place. I can even walk there from my place.

Revisit: Can't emphasize how amazing this is as a great neighborhood sushi spot/restaurant. Reminds me of the classic vibe of old Chicago restaurants my family would go to growing up here. Intimate, friendly, great food, casual. Everything you could ask for. 10/10 again!

Great location, fresh delicious sushi, and BYOB! We made a reservation for a Friday night, and the place quickly filled up. It's small but cute inside with a nice sushi bar to watch the chefs. Our service however took a long time throughout the night - we even had to say something because our food took so long. Other than that, the experience and food was stellar. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine that we brought with the meal as well. No corkage fee! We started with the sashimi appetizer, ginger salad, and some rolls. Everything was so fresh and tasty. We also tried the toro nigiri, which melted in our mouths. We also had to add on the spicy miso ramen - it's a huge portion. It was flavorful with delicious noodles, though I wish it wasn't ground meat. Prices were great overall too! Definitely recommend this spot for your sushi and ramen fix. read more

A neighborhood sushi spot that has been a staple of mine for 15+ years! It's a casual vibe with friendly staff and good, consistent sushi. They have a great selection of nigiri, classic rolls, and some very crazy fun rolls. Also love their appetizers like the seaweed salad and hamachi jalapeño. Cute little spot, nothing fancy but very cozy. Has a lot of rolls, ramen, appetizers to choose from. I did the fire phoenix and the King Kong . For me The fire phoenix was the winner ' so delish not over powering and is baked ! 10/10. Glad I stumbled upon this place located in west loop. Service is prompt and the food doesn't take long. Such a hidden gem for delicious sushi! I was blown away by the great quality of the fish and the fish to rice ratio on the nigiri was excellent. I've had a ton of sushi spots in Chicago, but Sushi Pink is definitley one of my favorites! We got the Hamachi and Tuna Tataki for appetizers and it was INCREDIBLE! Flavor was amazing, and all the signature rolls were delicious on top of the great portion sizes and beautiful presentation. The owners and workers were also so nice, and service was great. Sushi Pink is great place to eat. Good quality of sushi and pretty reasonably priced. Some of my favorite sushi rolls are the Golden Dragon, Crouching Tiger the fire dragon, Volcano and the summer storm. The service was excellent, the staff is very friendly and attentive. A very nice ambiance - Sushi pink is great for many occasions, a get together with friends, coworkers or even date night with that special someone. I recommend sushi pink. The tonkotsu was also completely the wrong color: translucent, watery, brown chicken-broth looking--not a nice light, fatty, and milky brown. Missing flavor. The chicken ramen was also extremely underwhelming, ZERO FLAVOR in the broth and the chicken!!!!! The meat itself was very moist, but the broth honestly tastes like a can of low sodium chicken broth. Really embarrassing excuse for ramen. I really expected more out of this place. Can't compete with A-tier Asian food in other areas. Service was pretty poor too. One girl for the entire floor of tables. Ignored us the entire time apart from getting our orders. Overall not worth coming back when there's so much better Asian food out there to try.

The noodles were also thinner than regular ramen & had a bouncy springy texture that just hit the spot! Since it was kinda chilly outside we also ordered hot green tea to accompany our spectacular ramen dishes. This place also offers delicious seasonal cocktails on the menu or hot sake if that's what you are hankering for. Then wiped his fingers on a dirty rag and proceeded to finish making the bowls. A short time later, we were served that same bowl of ramen. Watching an employee use their bare hands and mouth on food that was then served to a customer was extremely concerning and completely unacceptable from a food safety and hygiene standpoint. It ruined the experience and made us lose confidence in the restaurant's food handling practices. I hope management takes this seriously, retrains their staff on proper food safety procedures, and ensures this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I was skeptical when I first heard the name Monster Ramen. All my previous personal experiences…read morehave always proven to me that restaurants with names that don't represent their culture in distinct ways are generally subpar. For example, I would usually never even think to step into a restaurant named Best China House, Sushi Bistro, or Mom's Korean Restaurant. (Apologies if your shops are named as such. These were meant to be generic examples) Oh, how times have changed. I would have never thought having a bowl of ramen at a Monster Ramen would give me this much pleasure. Part of it will (in fact, most of it) be on me and my general philosophy on fusion cuisine and outdated gemerational gap. There was definitely a time when avoiding agorementioned type of restaurants may have been deemed smart. But I feel the new generation of restaurant owners and chefs have up'd their games in not only at better food making, but also accepting of a bit more irony. Anyone who knows me knows how much I stay away from trying anything "fusion." It's kinda funny to myself how hypocritical it is that I would be totally okay in substituting an ingredient or two when I'm missing some when cooking, but when it comes to paying money to sit and eat that I would judge chefs by thier style of cooking. Yes, a big part of it is based on a large pool of personally gathered data, but I do acknowledge that I need to open myself up a bit more. Case in point. I was recommended MR by a fellow Yelper and I decided to give it a whirl. I happened to have a friend and his son with me, so I was able to do small tastings of 3 different ramen. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised. We collectively had bowls of shio, shoyu and miso specials. Plus, I ended up getting the Summer Special bowl to go for my wife. All of them had their individual charm to them but more importantly, each of them were made to perfection when it came to broth seasoning and noodle texture, which are THE two most important aspect of ramen, in my opionion. Not too salty nor bland soup. Perfectly dense noodles. I just loved all four! It wad when I tasted the yuzu in tgeir shio ramen that my wife would love it. Even though I brought her the spicy Sunmer version home, I still think it'll be worth bringing her and our daughter back when we get a chance to. Our server Dionne (I think) was most pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, too. The prime sliced brisket is sooo good and the reason I keep coming back. It's smoky, juicy, super tender, and has that perfect fatty edge when you get a good slice. Sometimes they'll give you burnt ends, and wow, that is THE best piece. So much smoky, umami flavor packed into one bite. Definitely grab some sliced bread at the counter and a few cups of sauce. I love making little brisket sandwiches as I go and switching between the sauces. I tried the pulled pork sandwich once and really liked it! I also have to mention the elote and cornbread because I get them almost every time. The elote is creamy, a little spicy, and goes so well with all that smoky meat. The cornbread is sweet, soft, and perfect alongside the brisket. The service is always really nice. Everyone behind the counter is friendly while you're ordering and they're weighing out the meat, and then after you pay it's self-service. The whole setup is awesome. There's a big open indoor seating area that kind of reminds me of a food hall, with drinks, a coffee shop inside, and big screens where they sometimes have sports on. When the weather is nice, sitting outside is even better. That whole little area around Green Street with the other restaurants nearby has such a good vibe. I've been three different times and somehow my tray ends up looking almost identical every visit, which says everything you need to know. The brisket, elote, and cornbread have basically become my order at this point. Easily my go-to when I'm craving BBQ in Chicago.

Cute ambience! Seems like there are some cosmetic changes. Cute wall in the background. New light fixtures, creating more of a romantic vibe. Food is delicious! New ten rolls on the menu, and sauce is house made. Server is super nice! Always so nice to come back every time, it seems they love to decorate with themed decorations. There is someone there that is always updating with Lego pieces with these intricate art pieces. My favorite is the vase that is displayed! If you can spot it, there is a luck cat that's made out of Lego pieces as well! Had lunch here with some coworkers using the daily groupon deals. Wow- what a disappointment. First the server seemed annoyed that I had a groupon. why is that? It was more or less empty she should have been glad we were patrons. (alot of places seem to think that groupon users deserve a bad experience) we had water cups empty almost during our whole meal. The sushi seemed smaller than t places I've tried or maybe they made it smaller because i had a groupon; and I must say that being a restaurant in the west loop I expected better. I tried several of their rolls and was very impressed with how creative they were, and how layered the flavors are together complimenting each other. This place is a hidden gem. Their food is consistent and price is very reasonable. I have tried several items on the menu including sushi, appetizers, udon. Now, in most of the cases, you can only find either a restaurant is a hit in their sushi, but a miss in the udon and ramen, or vice versa. This place is not the case.
