This is a great sushi place for decent quality sushi that is well priced. The portions are also nice. Located on a off-road plaza in Saratoga. It's very casual vibes and the staff are prompt.

We returned to sushi heaven after many years of hiatus. The restaurant is doing much better from what we remembered. Everything was pretty tasty, fresh and well made. We enjoyed the Toro sashimi, kama, tempura and sweet shrimp nigiri. Our waitress Annie was very sweet, helpful and efficient. We will be back soon and so glad we've rediscovered our neighborhood spot

Food is good. The miso soup is very hot. The tempura is very hot. The server is nice.

The heaven sushi roll was so good. It also came super fast so that's good too. The lion king was also good so yeah I recommend this place。

Rainbow sushi

Good quality food, nice service. My daughter also eats a lot in these restaurant, so I believe it is very family friendly. I like this place, will come back next time.

Growing up in Saratoga, there weren't many casual asian dining places nearby and Sushi Heaven has always been a staple restaurant for my family for weekend night out dinners. Sushi Heaven is not traditional Japanese, and has a variety of rolls that are fun to choose from and also has great bento boxes. They also reasonably price Toro and if you're lucky, you get decent cuts. They take reservations and are busy during dinner times so call ahead or there is a waiting list.

Look, this is comfort sushi at its finest. The rolls are always huge. The price-point is fair. I can't think of one time I've been disappointed with anything I've ordered here. This is sushi I get when I want to enjoy couch rotting while I binge a series with my beau and have no desire to dawn anything besides sweats when I leave the house. That being said, I'd rate this a solid 3.5. Will it blow your mind? Meh. Probably not. But will you return to it time and time again when you are craving what mammoth rolls from Sushi Heaven evokes in you? Probably. And that is a good enough reason to enjoy.

Chicken Teriyaki

Good service and really good food, I recommend getting the chicken teriyaki bento box. The dragon roll was also very fresh and well made.

Holy crap. Full on 5 stars. Amazing food in a strip mall. Seriously some of the best sushi ive had ever and im a fanatic. Still feeling the hot sake, but some tips. Sashimi Appetizer is a great deal 7 HUGE pieces of the best tasting and tender sashimi i e had in a long time and at about $17 its a really good deal Hamachi dragon roll - amazing flavors and larger than you would expect. Very very nice spicy mayo. Not really just a sirachi mix. Better than that Lion king roll. Perfectly cooked and not heavy on the rice or mayo. Absolutely perfect Id give 6stars if i could

Sake Nigiri and Hamachi Nigiri

Sushi heaven tastes like heaven! I was in town for a work trip and found myself craving sushi. This spot was close and had good reviews so I figured I would try. The service was fast. I got seated instantly. My miso soup arrived less than a minute after I ordered it and was so tasty. I started with the sake and hamachi nigiri, which both had a delicious flavor and large servings of fish. I'm a sucker for a deep fried roll with cream cheese, so opted for the Dynamite Roll. It was nice and hot, the fish tasted fresh, and it wasn't too big or too small. A perfect serving. Staff here are friendly, attentive and quick. I will absolutely be back if I'm in Saratoga again!

I wanted to come to Suro originally because of their raw octopus, which is a delicacy since it is still moving when you eat it. These were super thick and served with a barbecue marinara sauce combination. We also tried three signature rolls here, all of which tasted decently fresh. The smoky tempura roll was indeed smoky, and very saucy + slightly sweet. Definitely a unique roll! The Suro Titanic roll was HUGE. Jaw breaking even. The name was very fitting. We also had the Sushi + Sashimi + Roll Combo. I really liked the spicy tuna roll, but I thought the rest of the fish quality on the nigiri and sashimi wasn't anything crazy. Lastly we had the spicy kimchi ramen! Yum! Service was inconsistent. Some workers were nice and others not. We finished with complimentary mochi ice cream which was awesome! Casual ambience.

Last time we went, due to limited space for seating, me and my wife were kindly seated in the back by the bathrooms, right next to a bucket of rags in sanitizer. First, I made a reservation on yelp but forgot to mention it to my friends. I was the second to arrive and my friend was already seated so I joined her. Later the server came by asking if we had a reservation which I said I did, then she complained in Chinese to my friend "I asked you earlier and you had said No. I had set up the table for it already". I found it pretty rude since the restaurant was half empty and just because she had the utensils and water out, shouldn't be a big deal. My second issue is that I ordered explicitly with "no wasabi and no green onions". Then, of course my sushi roll came with full of green onions on top. I said "I asked for no green onions" and the server said "but this is already made", expecting me to just accept it as is. My friends all heard me clearly ask when I ordered too. I said firmly that I would like it remade, which then they brought it back and I saw the original server who took the order glare at me and gestured towards me. This was ridiculous treatment. The food was not good either. I tried the Salmon Lover Roll ($17) and Sake Nigiri ($8). The salmon nigiri was a joke because as you can see from the photo it was tearing and falling apart. It was also cut so thick which just felt very unrefined. Thicker fish is good to a degree but it was too extreme and made me think it was due to lack of skill from the sushi chef. The salmon roll was not great either because the salmon skin in the middle was coated so much I just tasted the coating and not the fish anymore.

Seating was self serve, kind of like chipotle, after you order in the assembly-line style line. At first, I was kind of surprised to see that each bento-tray was ~$22, with no sizing options. However, the portion was massive, enough for one to be super full or to have lunch the next day! I liked how the bento was quite customizable. The restaurant is korean-fusion with poke, so there were many toppings, base rice that are more commonly linked with korean food. It was pretty good! The salmon was fresh and fatty. One of the fresher poke spots I have had in the bay. The toppings were fresh, and visually vibrant! I think my only critique would be the pricing and maybe having more options for sizing. Otherwise, you are getting what you are paying for!

Let me start off by saying: WE LOOOOOVE CARLOS!!!…read more In celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday, she made it known that dinner absolutely had to be "SHUSHI". What better place to wine and dine my little monster than Mizu??! I made reservations for 6 @ 5:15pm through OpenTable a few days prior. Upon checking in & arrival, a gentleman [whom I assume was management] asked that we be patient with service due to only having 2 servers on hand. Not sure if it was bad scheduling or if someone called out but we agree'd and hoped for the best. The Birthday Dinner Consisted Of: *Yellowtail Tartare *Dragon Roll *San Jose Roll *Rainbow Blossom Roll *Yellowtail Special Roll *House Boat Kitchen [substitute the beef bulgogi for teriyaki Salmon] *Miso Soups & House Salad *Mango Mochi Ice Cream [complimentary] Service was slow and not exactly attentive- even with the restaurant not being busy. There were a number of occasions where we just flagged staff for requests. Shout out to Carlos- this young man was always upbeat, mind, and very welcoming. He made every interesting a breeze and happily obliged with customers inquiries. REGARDLESS OF HIM NOT BEING OUR ACTUAL SERVER! Once dinner was over, Carlos stopped by to see if we wanted to order dessert. We slyly asked if there could be any singing for the birthday babe and he 100% made it happen- even if he was the only staffer to sing along with our party. 5/5 stars!!! This TY and review is specifically dedicated to Carlos. Our entire party appreciates your efforts and your high quality work ethics are undeniable. It has transitioned into a half-sushi, half-pop-bar concept that feels disjointed and lacks the authentic Japanese "vibe" it once had. Instead of a cozy dining atmosphere, the decor now feels like a generic bar you might find in an Asian metropolitan nightlife district--not exactly the setting I'm looking for when I want quality sushi. The Food The menu is now heavily focused on sushi rolls, but the execution is strictly average. For a place that has moved toward a specialist roll menu, I expected more punch. We also tried the Chicken Katsu, which was the biggest letdown of the night; it was incredibly dry, bland, and lacked any depth of flavor. It's definitely not their forte. Service & Value While the staff was fine, the pricing is quite steep for the quality of food and the "bar" atmosphere provided. You are paying premium prices for a mediocre culinary experience. Final Verdict Given the price point and the shift in direction, I won't be returning. There are simply too many excellent, authentic Japanese options in the surrounding area that offer better value and a more cohesive dining experience.

The hostess was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had a table inside, which was an intimate upscale casual area with a bar. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. It was so hard to pick one because everything on the menu sounds so good. Alas, I have a small appetite. The mushrooms were very tasty and a nice start to our meal. For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Drinks are on the pricey side- I had a Hero Old Fashioned and the Taylor Made, $20 each. They were nicely crafted, so worth the price. They brought out a Carmel Popcorn Sundae for my husband's birthday and even gave him a birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. Service was slow and steady. We had ample time to enjoy our food without feeling rushed, but never felt like our server forgot about us. We spent about 2 hours for dinner. Probably not a place to go if you're in a hurry. The restaurant had a nice visual ambience, but also felt casual as there was a lot of chatter, which isn't a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Our waiter was especially friendly and helped us decide what to order. I really wish I could remember his name, as I'm posting this a bit late, but he was a huge reason why we had a great experience! Here's a quick rating on the food itself: Stuffed mushrooms (3.5/5): This was recommended by the waiter as a favorite among patrons. The mushrooms weren't bad or anything, but for some reason, it gave me combination pizza vibes that I wasn't expecting. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again personally. Bone-in ribeye (5/5): an amazing cut that was cooked perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The compound butter was fantastic! Bone-in apricot glazed pork chop (3.5/5): this one may hit different for different folks. The pork was perfectly cooked and juicy, but the apricot glaze was definitely a little too sweet for our palettes. If you're looking for something more savory, I might try something else. But hey, sweet might be your thing too! Caramel popcorn sundae (4.5/5): we got this one complimentary for being our special day, which was a really nice surprise! And it was a full serving! This one was obviously sweet, but surprisingly more subdued than it sounds, which was really nice! Overall, it was truly a memorable night with great food. And though some things didn't quite work for our palettes, I can totally see that it may for others--so that didn't impact my ratings because they were still good--just not for us. That said, the care that we received on our anniversary was what truly made me land on a 5/5 rating. Definitely coming back for future special occasions!
