The flavor is the best part which is important but the temperature wasn't as cold as I think sushi should be served. The rolls fell apart and weren't tight, they were difficult to eat. The soy sauce was virtually tasteless and was served in a to go container; it tasted like brown water so I'm not sure what was going on with it. The ginger was an off flavor as well. Both rolls and a bottle of Diet Coke cost $25 but this perhaps could have been just a bit better to get up to 4 stars. I was basing the review on what I was expecting for the money, not that I was going to a high end sushi restaurant.

It's Mall food, so you're expectations can't really be that high. But surprisingly, I like the Sushi here. I have tried tempura shrimp rolls in the past which were delicious for a great price and recently had some simple avocado roll. What can I say, the avocado was nice and fresh which is the most I can ask for. Fast service, friendly, relatively low prices and good food. Only complaint is that they should clean the seating area a little more often.

It's seriously one of the better choices you can make for yourself in the food court asides from getting a salad. The prices were fair for fish and the service was fast. This place uses very good grade salmon belly. You can tell by the white ripples/lines in the salmon. The fish was fresh and not dry. The ginger and wasabi were also very fresh. I'd come back.

Today's Special: (from top to bottom) salmon+avocado, california, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura

idk why I got a sushi craving at the mall lol, but I walked over and saw that "Today's Special" was $10 for 16 pieces of sushi so I just went with my instinct. The special consisted of 4 different rolls: salmon + avocado, california, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura. All of them tasted fine- it was cheaper and lowkey tasted the same in comparison to another sushi place I go to in Providence, so overall this was the better deal. The shrimp tempura was my favorite. As expected, I didn't get full with what I ordered (that always happens with me and sushi), but it's one of the better places I've eaten at in the Providence Place Mall food court.

Best sushi place in Rhode Island by far. Ive tried lots of places none beat this one. Great food, great customer service, everything is just perfect.

Lunch special. 16 pcs for $9.99. Prepared with bare hands to boost your immune system.

Hmmmm. Lunch special (16 pcs for $9.99) was good.... but: The employee prepared the makis with her BARE HANDS. No gloves. [...]! Never again.

Really craving sushi I thought I would take the chance with this mall cart. Contrary to other reviews I found my salmon and rice to be tasty and fresh. A little on the pricier side for a plain roll but it did it's job.

Horrible service for Latin people I go whit my daughter and the woman send my foos in one container I take the order in bad mood because

horrible service for latin people the persona take the order very bad mood and the woman service one container different for all person used one plate and for my little daughter used one container

What makes good sushi? Most people would say the freshness of the seafood when in fact it's the rice. In fact most fish that is used in 4star sushi is slightly aged (it's not fresh caught) Some is especially if used as sashimi. So the rice at Sushi Cafe is high grade sushi rice and would have earned another star if it wasn't for the fact that the ratio of rice to protein on the nigiri sushi is completely off. Also the filling in the California roll is unbalanced. A little more crab and less cucumber. It is one of the healthier options in the Providence Place food court so it gets points for that also.

I'm not sure what possessed me to stop here and eat sushi. Blaaahhhh - where do u begin. Well first off - it's not fresh...I mean mall sushi can't be fresh - and it wasn't. The rice was overcooked, the fish (tuna and salmon) looked on the brownish side, the wosabi wasn't hot at all. Nothing about my dish was appealing. Let's just call this sushi a warm mushy madness. I should have gone with my gut next time and not stop here and eat.

    7.99 lunch. Big rolls!

Not sure why people hate so hard on this place. Yes, it's mall sushi. So we lower the expectations a bit. But I was pleased with mine. I got the $7.99 lunch deal with two rolls. I got the salmon avocado and shrimp tempura rolls. I'm pleased. And they're big! Not skimpy. Maybe even a lot title too big. Anyway, for a mall food court, I'd certainly return.

Not sure what possessed me to eat here while I was getting lunch with family in Providence Place Mall, Rhode Island. Oh yes, it's the only vaguely healthy option - and it certainly is healthy. I'm not sure why I was charged $11 for a small roll when there were other options of the same or lesser price for a 16 piece sushi platter ($9.99), and I had just a few small pieces. Family immediately said 'why are you getting sushi from a shopping mall', which I've got to admit, made me think. Oh yeah. That's not really where you go for good sushi. I think I was overcharged and that put a bad taste in my mouth from the off. I didn't know how much i would be charged, and they should have explained my options a bit better, as it is confusing and inconsistent pricing. Everyone else got a filling meal from the Chinese place next door and other spots for around $7 - 8. I know sushi is different but it was not good value and the quantity was tiny. The water was also overpriced which I got after I'd finished my meal. As the only healthy place to eat a meal at Providence Pl: 5 *. Great idea. For what it is: 2 *. Overpriced and unimaginative. Sushi didn't bind together well. Didn't come with anything except soy, ginger and wasabi. Barely felt like a meal, and cost 50% more than my family's meals at other outlets.

Subpar sushi. Not horrible, but definitely not the best in providence. Rolls are inconsistent in size and not too fresh.

From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The vibe was spot on, the drinks were thoughtfully crafted, and the food was absolutely worth the trip. We ordered sides of hash browns and bacon. The hash browns were perfectly crispy...exactly how I like them. The bacon had great flavor, though I personally would have loved it a little crispier. Of course, the star of the show was the soufflé pancakes. We tried the Crème Brûlée, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Berry Compote flavors, and every single one was light, fluffy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They were sweet without being overwhelming and perfectly suited our palate. I also tried the pistachio coffee. It was a little more earthy than I typically prefer, but if you're a fan of pistachio-forward flavors, you'll likely enjoy it. Overall, Capri delivered an exceptional breakfast experience.

Only reason I'm giving 1 star still is because the waitress was very nice and what happens in the kitchen is not her fault! I think her name is (Katy?) I can't remember exactly but she was super nice! We got there for 11:30 reservation. Waited 15 minutes before we were seated which I didn't love already because there's no waiting area and nowhere to sit where the restaurant is so you have to stand around waiting for the table. Well by the time we left there I finally understood why we had to wait another 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We ordered our food and drinks and got our drinks fairly quick but the food took way too long considering that it's breakfast items and they didn't have that many tables to begin with even including inside dining. Our pancakes took almost 40 minutes to come out and our sides never even came out with the pancakes which I thought was weird. The sides didn't come out for another almost 15 minutes. By the time everything was out my son was getting fussy so I just asked for everything to be packed up to go. The high chair was also dirty and oily with food still on the sides and not cleaned at all. I was talking to the family that sat next to us because the waiter who brought out their food messed up and brought their sides to another table dropped it off then found out the food was not at the right table and brought it straight to the right table after it's been sitting at the wrong table for a few minutes at that point! That family also said they waited a really long time for their food and their food didn't all come out at the same time either so it seems like this is normal. I also went to ask the hostess how much longer for our food before our pancakes came out few minutes later. She asked me how long it's been since I put in my order I said about 30 min already and she said oh that's sounds about right. So that just proves that food normally take this long to get out to the table! I'm used to way shorter wait times for breakfast foods this just didn't seem normal to me. Let's get to the food! I had the original pancakes with the blueberry and strawberry, got a side of scrambled eggs, sausages, and home fries. For drinks I got a fresh orange juice and my sister got the Dubai chocolate latte. The Dubai chocolate latte was delicious and so was the orange juice but definitely over priced for the portion size, but I guess it's acceptable being federal hill prices for most people? Personally I thought it was way overpriced not just the drinks but everything considering the proportions. The pancakes were ok didn't taste as eggy as I expected being that it's supposed to be more egg based which is totally fine the texture was good. The strawberries on top I thought were going to be fresh strawberries but it seems like it's more of a compote. The scrambled eggs were a little too charred for my liking I've never really had scrambled eggs charred before. Potatoes were ok for the most part in terms of flavor but my sister had some that were still kinda undercooked and hard. The sausages were really flavorful. Overall I don't think we'll be returning or recommend this place for the breakfast at least. Way overpriced and not worth the hype.
