    Spicy Pork Katsu Ramen

First time at Ebisu; went on a Saturday right before closing (around 9:30pm). There is a lot with free parking. We didn't make reservations; the place seems very casual. We were only table there, though a few people came to pick up food. We ordered a beer, hot tea, ramen nodded and some sushi. All came out very quickly. The ramen was delicious, lots of pieces of beef and veggies, a full egg too. The specialty sushi roll was delicious, fish tastes very fresh. I will come back to try other items!

Did not know EP had a ramen place like this! No clue why it was so quiet as this place should be Jamin' how kind the staff was and how delicious the food is! Place was so clean and some of the best service I've had in some time. The duck ramen my goodness it was DELICIOUS! Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for ramen! The pork and chicken katsu were also 10/10! A hidden gem in EP for sure!

My go-to ramen spot. I love the create-your-own ramen option, but their menu options are great, too. The Nagasaki Chanpon was really good! I've had great experience with their appetizers as well. Service tends to be quick and they are good at checking up on you. And there's a parking lot!

A tasty place for ramen! Our previous go to place closed so this is definitely a new favorite! There is a small parking lot and plenty of street parking near by. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. We ordered a Tan Tan Men Ramen with extra noodles and Spicy Pork Katsu Ramen. They came out quickly and boy howdy were they delicious! The pork katsu was so crispy and flavorful. We got the spicy level 1 and it packed a punch but didn't make you breath fire - a good spicy level. The ground pork and pork broth in the Tan Tan were *slurp* excellent! The extra side of noodles is a fabulous touch because it makes a solid amount of leftovers. Also, they have gluten free ramen options!

The spicy honey chicken buns are as good an appetizer as you can get anywhere. Light spice with an amazing batter. Ramen was fantastic as was the Ebi Tempura, shrimp and veggies in an amazing batter. Ramen was good, friendly staff greeted us and served us. Patient staff did a great job explaining the menu. Good limited selection of Japanese beers. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu

Cute spot in East Providence with a lot of options! We had eel onigiri, salmon onigiri, noodles and katsu! The portions are large with enough for leftovers the next day.

The thing I love about Ebisu is that they have a build your own ramen. If you have friends or kids who are picky eaters this is a great way to get them to try ramen. The menu was extensive besides ramen. They had these delicious spicy chicken buns that i could've ate several more of and my go-to every time i visit... the Ebisu Tower. Really good food and friendly service. This location has plenty of seating inside and a parking lot.

update for the owner: CHASHU PORK is BRAISED pork NOT roasted pork making it tender again always described as melt in your mouth -- all meats you mentioned are braised in a savory marinade that's what chashu means. YOU are thinking of the chinese CHAR SUI which is a style of roasting/bbq. if you don't believe me, please google it, so hopefully i cleared up YOUR confusion since it seems like you have no idea about japanese food. and those were NOT beans. i put a chopstick in it and it loosen up to MISO. thanks for the lies though also why put spicy miso ramen when you just said it's mildly spicy aka zero spice and all salt?? just don't say it's spicy?? & literally no one likes that katsu ramen you recommended. there's tons of one star reviews. maybe give me a call and i can actually explain what the stuff on your menu means because you need it. tons of japanese people also reviewed this restaurant with the same opinion that this is not authentic and tastes horrible :) also, if you're going to make asian cuisine try to please your asian consumers because all of them including myself have given you one star reviews. ____________ These people are tripping. I am visiting from NYC, got sick & wanted ramen soup. i can't believe this place has this many stars. this isn't ramen. i got pork belly and any basic ramen place knows, pork belly needs to be thinly sliced and it's supposed to melt in your mouth due to it being slow cooked properly. that's why the fat even tastes good. instead, i got tough disgusting pork belly, cut in massive pieces. it was soooo hard to the point i thought there was bone in it. so gross i took it out and didn't get past one bite. secondly, the broth??? hello, the picture shows clumps of miso meaning they didn't even cook it down and stew it properly! that is why it's so salty. miso is a salty base which means it needs a lot more water and time. and spicy? just cuz you added two slices of kimchi doesn't make it spicy! zero spice such a gentrified ramen place. so so disappointed that this is potentially a person's intro to asian cuisine

Went here last week the food was awesome! The service was fast and the ambiance was nice and calming. Ordered the Geso Tapa, Yakima Udon, and the Nikki Maki. The Geso wasn't what I expected but was still good. The highlight was the Nikki Maki, fresh. Everything had big portions. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu.

This is my 2nd time here. The first time was a much better experience. This time, albeit less impressive, still a good experience. The Korean pork belly was dry and not "melt in your mouth" smooth like the last time. It was probably not cooked long enough? The Tako yaki appetizer was creamy in the middle. My personal preference is to have the middle much firmer with some bounce when I chew on it. When it is creamy like that, I am not sure if it intentional, or just undercooked. I am not sure about everyone's preference but I like my pancakes without the runny undercooked middle. Don't you prefer fully cooked pancakes? I sort of feel the same way about my tako yaki - fully cooked in the middle. I don't want to be nit picky, but the noodles on the spicy katsu ramen was blah. What is this? It had the consistency of somen - thin white noodles for dipping, not firm ramen. It certainly did not feel like a typical ramen that I will find anywhere in Kyushu or Kansai area. The noodles for the Kyushu champon was better. The kind I would find in Nagasaki or other major cities in Kyushu. One awesome thing about this place, though, is that they have Japanese craft beer - Hitachino Nest. They carry a few different kinds. My fave is the Uzu infused lagar. Very very good. Overall, I think this place gets a 4.5 star for the selections and the craft beer. If they can get the noodles and some appetizers to come out consistently good, then I will come all the time. You can't get better noodles than directly imported Nishiyama Noddles from Sapporo, Japan that I find at Ganko Ittetsu Ramen on Thayer. If this place can do something similar or do better, then I am your fan. The quality of the noodles is one major component of the overall character of a bowl of ramen; then the broth and the toppings. The ramen that win competition has all three components just right. This place is a good approximation of ramen and Izakaya joint in Japan.

Speciality drink with Jalapeno infused vodka. Nice slow spiciness.

We don't drink sake or beer. I don't see that you have a full bar. Can we bring a bottle of wine in to drink?

Hello Marci .We do in fact have a full bar in the restaurant. We serve a lot more the sake or beer, like wine and cocktails .

Do you guys do shabu-shabu? I don't see it on the menu, but I am not sure if it's called something different.

Hi, yes we have shabu shabu but that is only available at our Providence location whereas the EP location has sushi instead. Everything else on our menu is the same。thank you

The server said there was really only one option on the menu for vegetarians which is what I ordered. The food is served luke warm and for $15 I'm pretty sure I could have made this same dish at home for much cheaper and probably better. It has a spicy chili oil on the side that you mix in along with the pickled radish which was more salty than pickled tasting. One bunch of noodles wasn't properly cooked and clumped at a section. I consider myself pretty good eating with chopsticks and the slippery noodles proved to be quite difficult to eat. Not a good option if you're on a date and maybe concerned with how you will look eating this dish. Probably the saving grace of the dish was the mushrooms which allowed me to give this place 3 stars. I will not be back to this restaurant. I only ordered a hot water with a lemon for a drink. No lemon was given, only a chipped little cup (pictured), and the restaurant was freezing. I kept my coat on the entire time. The menu is really tiny. I suggest looking at the menu before going and really making sure there is something you want to try before going. Rookie mistake made on my end!

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

Although this isn't fine dining, I find a sporadic placement of food to be strange because I sat with my food in front of me waiting for everyone else's. Service is not necessarily friendly, but they are attentive.
