All I can say is wow! I came here for their breakfast sandwich, and I can tell you it's the best one I've had. The cilantro oil, the fluffy egg, the little bit of feta, the delicious bread... Schasteâ is a MUST try if you're in Providence! If I lived closer, you'd catch me here at least once a week. Such a cute little tea house that's perfect for a brunch date or a place to study! There is a good amount of seating but you can also order your tea/drink/food to go. I love that when you get your tea it comes with an adorable timer that tells you how long you should steep your tea for depending on how strong you like it. We got the white peach white tea and the mandarin silk tea! I was a big fan of both teas, specifically the white peach white tea. I thought it had great flavor and was quite refreshing. The mandarin silk tea had the perfect amount of sweetness and was very tasty as well. It was also cool that they provided candied ginger as a palette cleanser! Service is super friendly and they got our teas and crepes out fast. We ended up trying their Fig and Proscuitto crepe and their Guava Crepe. The Fig and Prosciutto crepe was DELICIOUS. The fig jam paired perfectly with the prosciutto. I enjoyed the fact it came with arugula and goat cheese too, it made for a perfect salty-sweet dish. I came on a Thursday morning around 10am and there were a good amount of people sitting inside. There was no one ahead of me to order, but then a line started to form after. I got the Earl grey lavender glazed scone and an Earl grey lavender with honey latte. You can sense a theme happening. The earl grey lavender glazed scone just melts in your mouth. It is soft, light, buttery, rich, and has a floral earl grey flavor. The Earl grey lavender with honey latte was also delicious. Similarly to the scone, there is a floral earl grey flavor. I don't need my matcha spot to be a viral internet sensation, I just need them to be good. Schasteâ is just good! I indulged in a matcha latte & a perrrrrfectly cooked lemon crêpe this morning. I requested the chickpea batter (it's gluten-free!) & for the crêpe to be cooked slightly longer for a crispier experience. They nailed it. Schastea is waiting for you and you don't even know it. This absolute gem of a tea shop is so much more. We're not talking about a formulaic run of the mill tea shop here. Besides a vast variety of teas to suit your mood and health concerns, there is a beautifully thought out menu of creative salads, flatbread and focaccia sandwiches, crepes and more. But what sold me was their Mezze Platter - Homemade All, pickled vegetables, olives, mildly more-ish pickled onions, white bean dip (not the usual slodge others purvey) flavored with olive oil, ever-so-lightly tart lemon and what I believe is paprika to turn it the color of a Saharan sunset. The Romesco has the taste and texture that will bring you to a sun-dappled cafe in Sevilla with a mix of red pepper, tomatoes for sweetness, garlic, ground almonds and olive oil. It's so good I could slather this on eggs, use for a sauce for pasta or dip a grilled shrimp into. There's also their babaganoush perfectly made creamy with olive oil, lemon and the smokiness of a roasted eggplant. I could go on but you get the picture. It is possible that crepes may be one of my favorite foods so I tend to get excited about them BUT I will be as impartial as possible. We arrived for a light lunch and were greeted by a very laid back, relaxed cafe vibe. Plenty of tables and a cozy back seating area. I opted for a savory crepe as I was a bit hungry - I got the Fig & Prosciutto Crepe, while my friend opted for something on the sweet side - the classic Lemon Sugar Crepe. Gluten free options are available and the staff are very dedicated to making the exact delectable treat you are looking for. When my Fig & Prosciutto crepe came out I was confused because I initially thought it was a salad. I was pleasantly surprised by how much arugula came on top of the crepe. The top salad was delicious and it was a perfect pair for the rich fig jam and salty prosciutto. Delicious! The tea and cocktail options were very enticing but we did not get to try any on this trip. My friend invited me here for a morning tea and since I never been I thought this would be the perfect time to give it a try. I was happy to know they can make the drinks either hot or iced, which is huge for me since I like everything cold. I ordered a small white coconut crème which was described as sweet, creamy and low caffeine but what all I got was a coconut iced tea. The flavor of the coconut was very subtle and unique but I was disappointed a little as it wasn't white or creamy. I was pretty hungry since it was still early and ordered the Nutella & fruit crepe which showed it came with banana and fruit compote both fruits for an extra $1.50. Shortly after I placed my order the server advised me they ran out of the fruit compote both fruits. I wish I was told this before I placed my order so I could have picked another item off the menu. The crepe did fall short for me I was expecting it to be filled with extra fresh banana since they ran out of the fruit compote but the bananas were mushy and it was mainly filled with Nutella. I did like how the store was spacious, lots of tables and chairs, there's a cute hangout area upstairs and if inside isn't your thing, outside has sitting as well. read more

I am a tea lover, so this place is perfect for me! I usually get excited when a cafe has something other than a chai latte on their menu. Well this place certainly meets that criteria with a full page list of tea options and the ability to turn any of those teas into a latte! They also do have some specialty drinks if you are overwhelmed by the huge list. The larger list is sorted by type and also gives an indication of the caffeine amount and a description of the flavor. The workers all seem knowledgeable about the options and can help guide you to the correct choice. I've tried the Providence fog, as well as some white tea lattes when I wanted low caffeine and enjoyed all of them! I also love crepes so I have enjoyed both their sweet and savory crepes and never been disappointed. I enjoyed the fig and prosciutto crepe. I also tried my husband's egg and cheese sandwich and enjoyed that as well. I love that it is served on naan. I've generally been able to find a spot to sit, and the back room is especially cute. Five stars for the reasonably priced loose tea you can brew in pots and enjoy at leisure. For me the crepes beyond the brown sugar and lemon is a little pricey. Wished I tried the naan instead. Crepes are not reminiscent of the crepes in Paris, a little more soft. Egg and cheese looked really nice on the table next to us. That's the tip I would give--go with the naan. It's also possible to get your choice of creatively flavored cocoa drinks, real cocoa not hot chocolate, and absolutely wonderful crepes. We sat in the small, private back room and settled in with our books for a quiet visit. I enjoyed my rooibos chai, he had an unsweetened spiced cocoa, and we shared a simple but superb lemon cream crepe. I can't say anything other than this: what a perfect afternoon pick-me-up! Due to being white, I'm mainly a coffee drinker, but always wanted to get into tea drinking for its inherently healthy benefits. We ordered a happy tea, a matcha tea, the chorizo, and peanut butter and honey crepe. Everything was high powered and delicious. The tea is very smooth and high quality. Before it was time to go back home we wanted to try a great local breakfast/brunch place. This place seemed really amazing with their massive tea selection and the general vibe they had. While I can say I don't regret choosing this place. We both were definitely disappointed in a lot of things. So the first thing that really upset us was the service. While they staff were insanely nice when we did get help, getting help was the problem. We came in and were told to sit wherever we liked. So we did just that at a nearby table. We then waited about 12 minutes and nobody came to help us. Finally, I got frustrated and went to counter to ask if we are supposed to order there and she said they were sending someone to me. The waitress was insanely nice and we were once again happy. Then came the other issue. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. Let me remind you that we are eating crepes here... it didn't take long to process those orders. Someone did react to our grumpy looks and came over to assure us our food was coming and it did a few minutes later. So on to the good stuff. The crepes are freakin delicious and they are super awesome and let you customize them if you like. I had ham, chicken, cheese, and eggs in mine and boy was it good!!! My friend had a dessert crepe that was super tasty. My friend said that she didn't like her chai spicy tea though. She said the spice was weaker than she would have liked. We wanted a place to relax and enjoy a slow conversation, so we thought Schasteâ perfectly fit that bill. When we first walked in, we immediately noticed that the environment and decor felt very cold and almost corporate. It didn't align with the warm and cozy atmosphere that we were imagining. I was really glad that it was a beautiful day outside, because we opted to sit at one of the couple of tables lining the sidewalk. Their tea menu almost felt like a book, because there were so many helpful details about each tea! There are different pricing levels based on the rarity of the tea. When you order the tea, you're given a tea timer as well as some yummy crystallized ginger. Again, I was surprised by the clear, plastic tea glasses, which felt really modern and sleek, but not exactly the vibe I was looking for. We also ordered two crepes, one with lox and the other with prosciutto, walnuts, goat cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. Overall, I was pretty impressed with the crepes. They were light and fresh, but filling and full of flavor! Weirdly, the prosciutto was placed inside the crepe probably when it was still on the stove, so the prosciutto ended up being fully cooked, which was a little strange. We enjoyed our time there but also wished the servers didn't rush us as much as they did. It was a little ironic because the menu included a definition of schastea, emphasizing being content with taking your time and enjoying the moment. Yet, we were continually not given time to sit and relax, as the servers quickly took our teas away and asked us over and over again if we were ready for the check. This would be a completely different story if the restaurant were crazy busy, and we were taking up a critical table! Anyway, importantly, the teas and food were both delicious.
