    Dining room

We made a reservation but the person who was seating us suggested that we sit at the bar, with the walk-ins, because it's "more beautiful" than the dining room. I agreed in the moment but I don't think I would agree to it in the future. Why? I don't like sitting at the bar of places and eating there. I would rather have a server dedicated to my table than a bartender who is very busy with drinks and side work. Not that the bartender wasn't great, he was. He did his best to be attentive and take care of us. I also didn't want to sit at a bar chair, no matter how pretty the plants are around me. At least these chairs were semi-comfortable. They were too close together though and when someone was sat next to me, his arm was on me the whole time. I should have said no to the pretty room. We had a couple of mocktails. The pineapple coffee one is absolutely fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone. I liked my lemon basil one but it was too sweet. The food was really good and I'd eat here for brunch (and any other meal) again for sure.

Ambiance it top notch. Such a cute spot for brunch-there's plenty of natural light and lots of greenery inside. Everything we ordered was tasty and I think the eggs Benedict was one of the best I've had. It was so buttery and soft! They have a great selection of drinks- for both alcoholic and non alcoholic so there's something for everyone. It does seem to get busy but not overly crowded. We were able to get a table for 3 on a Sunday afternoon but the table was directly in the sunlight. Overall would recommend this place for a brunch to catch up with friends!

Stopped in for a cocktail. Beautiful restaurant with an ambiance to match. Really enjoyed the old school soul playlist they had going. Beautiful and creative cocktails. Attentive and friendly service.

Great food....amazing service and cute ambiance. If you like a buzz --book at night. If you like quiet , get their early dinner. Definitely worth the time.

Delicious dinner! On the pricier side, but well worth it. Our favorite dish was the broccoli! Such an interesting and cool combination that I would never think of at home. Our least favorite dish was the leeks; the boquerones were overpowering to the point where it didn't really taste like leeks anymore. The space is very pretty; airy and earth tones. The service was also very good!

Such a beautiful restaurant with the most attentive staff! I feel like I was sitting at a show at the chefs counter. While other customers chatted with the chefs, we just intently watched. We watched the dance between the chefs, how they prepared each dish, how each were beautifully plated and called. Everyone respecting each other's space while predicting each other's next moves and executing with precision with barely any words spoken between each other. The chef directly in front of us was quiet, focused, but I can see his eyes flicker each time a comment about the food was made. He worked the grill and fryer looked over each dish before sending it out. I did not see him lose focus even once. Chef next to him was a quiet calm and collected young woman who literally held her hands over fire to prepare the fish working the griddle knowing precisely when to move each one. Chef to the far left of us was more talkative working the stove and orchestrated what looked like 10 hot pans over the fire going all at the same time. Chef looking over the oysters and I'm going to guess the raw seafood moved so fast that I didn't even catch him shucking the oyster and sashimi plate before it made its way in front of us. Chef to the far right was in charge of what I believe was the dessert. She floated in and out quietly grabbing plates, restocking, and creating bits of art as we watched. Our servers (I'm going to say I counted 4) were all extremely nice, informative, and never let either of our glasses get empty before it was refilled. We ordered the chefs tasting (can you tell I love not making decisions?) and course after course was brilliant. I cannot name them all, but all were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant and 100 % recommend the chefs counter with a seat closest to the oysters, you get a great view of the whole show, and highly recommend the chefs tasting!

Bayberry Garden has a really lovely atmosphere. It is filled with live plants and lots of natural light. There is also outdoor seating in warmer weather. The staff are also very warm and attentive. I went with a group of three people, and in terms of the food, we were all a little disappointed. We started with the bread bowl that came with a garlic butter, and that was pretty good. For a main, I got the pasta with duck sausage. I thought the duck sausage was great, but the pasta overall was crunchier than I'd like. One of the other people got the squash dish. It had a beautiful presentation, but she also ultimately felt it was crunchier or less cooked than she'd like. The last person we were with got the chicken, and just didn't really like the sauce it was in. At the end of the meal they gave us some nice candied ginger squares, and that was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the dinner here might be more about ambiance. I'd consider coming back for brunch.

Our amazing server Deborah deserves a raise for giving us the absolute best experience :) She was so sweet and gave us some champagne on the house when she found out my girlfriends and I were there celebrating my birthday. She told us so much about the restaurant owner/founder and the story behind all the plants in the place. She made our experience truly unforgettable. As for the food, we were in love with the grilled cheese and tomato soup! The sourdough was perfect for dipping into the warm, slightly sour yet hearty tomato soup. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, with every corner flourishing in green. Definitely would love to come back if I'm ever in the Providence area again. Such a great experience that added to my already amazing birthday weekend!

Bayberry Garden fits the bill of New England coastal flavors set in a garden motif well. While this place wouldn't be my first choice if I got dinner in Providence, it's not a bad choice either. The salmon was fantastic, that was easily the highlight of dinner. Cooked to perfection, salty crispy skin, and the sorrel bechemel was the perfect sauce to pair with it. Another really tasty dish that I didn't take a picture of was the chitarra. Super flavorful but was in desperate need of protein. The bread was good, it was bread with butter - a classic pairing. Both of the apps, I was really let down by. The hush puppies were very dry and lacked flavor. The mushroom fritto misto on the other hand was too much breading and enough mushroom but the breading was good? Overall, I'd wait for this current menu to rotate out before I'd consider going back.

If you walk north past the Dune Brothers Seafood shack between Dyer and Eddy street, you end up at a building housing Bayberry Garden and the CIC coworking space. Bayberry could be considered borderline fine dining--they offer a bright airy interior, a semi-open kitchen, hospitable front-of-house staff, a cocktail selection, and a tasting menu, if you're up for it. They also offer brunch, which seems to feature popular brunch fare, such as a plethora of egg-based dishes. Okay. So, just to let you know, their tasting menu is only available for dinner. They do have a mix of bar and table seating. Reservations appear to be highly recommended, because their space can become busy. And during busy times, it can get quite loud. Their tasting menu has a few variants, so you can customize your protein to an extent--for example, whether you'd like more seafood or land based protein. The pricing between the options does vary. The chefs will do their best to accommodate your preferences. After tasting their food on their tasting menu, I can only conclude that their food is mediocre given their projected relatively upscale image. Several dishes were too salty; others were unmemorable. The presentation on the plates lacked aesthetic. The dishes and their ingredients were explained, but the dishes themselves lacked soul, interest, or comfort. Better (more enjoyable) options exist elsewhere. I am glad to have given this place a try, in order to confirm that I will not voluntarily come here for their food in the future. Vibe-wise, it's pretty nice, but the flavors miss their mark.

I love it here Consistently awesome differences in flavor profiles on the menu. Service is quick yet not overwhelming Everything is fresh and comes out perfect. It isn't all that expensive and the ambiance is one of the best in the city. Must try! Sit at the chefs table and get the $90 course meal! Worth it

Stone fruit tart with bay leaf ice cream-- delicious!

This is a really lovely spot for a splurgy dinner out. The vibe is great, airy and green with lots of windows and plants. Menu is pretentious but our server was kind and patient interpreting it for us. Cocktails were delicious, as well as our appetizers (hush puppies and olives), mains (salmon and a veg pasta), and dessert (stone fruit tart because why say apricot?). A beautiful dinner, highly recommend.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. The level of service was impeccable I cannot put it into words. My fiance and I shared a variety of chef selected dishes and I truly loved every single one. The ingredients are so fresh it is unlike any restaurant I've ever had. Everything we ate was so fulfilling. The waitstaff took such good care of us I am so impressed. I will absolutely come back here again. This has been one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.

Luckily we did make reservation for early dinner so we were able to find parking right away. We got there early so the restaurant wasn't open yet. We took a walk around the Westminster for a bit until the place was open. We were sat down right away. Inside is cozy with dim lights and open kitchen and some tables. They have few outside seating available as well. We started with some appetizer raw fish and combo as well as kohlrabi Caesar. We got black bass and a seasonal fish with combo that included lightly roasted oysters, shrimp and squid. All seafood was directly sourced from local port and fresh. Seafood appetizer was delicious. The caesar was interesting. I've never had kohlrabi but it reminded me of radish and it was tasty. Personally i would have preferred little less salt and olive oil so that flavor of the raw ingredient stand out more but was not too bad. My entree was the seafood risotto. Flavorful risotto with some seafood on top. Was a bit messy to eat because of the shells but was flavorful. The crab and shellfish itself was small and a bit underwhelming but the rice was rich and full of fish flavor. My mother had the cacio e Pepe which was good but she said that nothing comparable to one she had in Rome. I was not a huge fan of the thicker pasta but that's just is personal preference. Service was excellent but the table was a bit small and tight as we were very close to the next table and can hear what others are talking about so not a very privately setting. Overall i did like the place. Food and service were good. But it was not anything exceeding expectation and there were few things that detracted from our experience such as heavy seasonings, small dining space and etc... The price is quite expensive for the amount of food they serve as well. I think it's a good place for special occasions.

First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. It's definitely the kind of place where you'd want to share plates. There are both small and large options. I've tried the focaccia (both regular and one of their specials), deviled eggs, salt cod cakes, cabbage, and mafaldine (twice). I enjoyed all the food! I thought it was very creative and delicious. The staff is also really great! Truly a nice spot for dinner in the area.

We started with the Sicilian soda and pear spritz drinks (I forget the name of the latter), which were both delicious. For appetizers, I really enjoyed the stuffed peppers, which were stuffed with braised lamb and were flavorful. Lastly, for our meals, she got the chicken Milanese and I got the little necks with pork. I personally loved my little necks, but she did not enjoy the chicken Milanese because it had too much broccoli rabe on top; I personally love broccoli rabe and feel like that was just a preference thing, not a fault of the restaurant. Otherwise, I thought the service was OK. Our waitress was nice, but we were not checked on during the meal. My second drink came much later after being ordered, just as the check was delivered; at that point, I didn't really want the drink anymore given its timing. Overall, I think Fred is worth the visit given the quality of the food, and I would give it a 4.5 rating if I could. I look forward to visiting again.
