half chicken with mash potatoes soupy potatoes, not even a quarter of a chicken would not recommend this place to anybody horrible

I would not recommend this restaurant. The mashed potatoes were soupy and this was supposed to be a half of chicken.

    Oysters were delicious!

I went to Fleur Providence while I was home for the holidays. The restaurant is beautiful! It's located in the Omni Hotel which has such an elegant feel/vibe. We were immediately greeted when we entered and seated. We went during the middle of the day so we're actually the only ones in the restaurant which felt very special honestly. For drinks my fiancé ordered an Irish coffee which was perfectly made and not too sweet and I ordered an expresso martini which I really enjoyed. For starters I ordered oysters which tasted so crisp and refreshing! I loved the garnishes as well! The mignonette was a delicious, with tons of flavor. It was tangy, citrusy and sweet while the horseradish + hot sauce carried a powerful kick. I truly loved the flavor profile! For our meals he ordered the clam chowder which was pretty yummy and the steak and eggs which was pretty decent he enjoyed the potatoes most. I kept my New England vibe going pretty strong and ordered a lobster roll with a side of fries. I will say I wasn't the biggest fan one the unfortunately. The fries were very crunchy almost like cooked in old oil and the lobster roll was a little too buttery for my liking. Our waiter was excellent and really made sure to check on us several times throughout our meal. Given, the overall ambiance and the delicious oysters and drinks I'd say this would be a nice restaurant to stop by for afternoon drinks or maybe even dinner. We were looking forward to trying the crab cakes but only available during dinner time.

We were staying at the Omni Hotel, which is very nice as I'll discuss in a future review. We enjoy French cuisine and decided to give Fleur a try even though the Yelp ranking was only 3.3 We were dining early after a long walkabout in Providence. When we arrived, as there were no other diners present, we were advised that we could select our table. The hostess at that moment, also turned out to be our waitress. She quickly sent over water, and provided us with menus. Our first surprise was the menu. Oh Mon Dieu! Where are the French dishes. My co-diner was looking forward to some French Onion soup. Fleur however, was serving Clam Chowder (a standard menu item), and the soup du jour was ironically... Chicken and Rice. Missing in action were the Boeuf Bourguignon, Coq au Vin, Cassoulet, Confit de Canard, Quiche Lorraine, and of course, the French Onion Soup. So, I decided on one of the only French dishes on the menu, Poulet au Citron - Statler chicken, lemon, white wine, tomatoes, artichokes, lemon caper sauce with potato au gratin. $32 My co-diner opted for the Lobster Roll. This was a warm lobster roll, known as a Connecticut Roll - Butter poached lobster meat, served on a butter roll (served warm), Fries, fried wontons or greens. $35 The waitress offered mashed potatoes, fries or the au gratin with my dinner, and I chose the au gratin which I typically like and because it is French inspired. The dinners arrived quickly, which wasn't a complete surprise as we were still the only patrons. Overall, the chicken was pretty good, with a nicely crisped skin, though it was a small portion. The au gratin was terrible, the cheese top was very hard and overdone and the potatoes were too stiff, perhaps a little undercooked. The sauce in the dish with the artichokes was underwhelming, and relatively bland. I tasted the lobster roll, and though there was plenty of lobster, I thought the meat and roll were dry. When the waitress checked on our dinners, I told her I shouldn't have taken her advice and selected mashed potatoes as the au gratin wasn't good. She nodded but didn't apologize for the kitchen or offer a side dish of mashed potatoes, something one would expect in a fine dining restaurant. The main thing that is French inspired at this restaurant is the name. If you're looking for some quality French cooking, you should look elsewhere. If you're looking for an excellent steak, I'd suggest walking down the stairs to the Omni lobby, where you'll find Fleming's, an excellent steak establishment.

Wow! What another amazing experience at Fleur. I recently learned they have GF bread, Gf flatbreads and GF pasta! We went in for a nice Friday night diner with their Halloween cocktails and shared two entrees! They didn't disappoint: the GF flatbread was a full size pizza and it was amazing n the chicken dish with the potato pie was to die for. Our cocktails tasted as good as they looked! Our server, Manny was amazing. He took such great care of us from the moment we sat down! The host and other staff were so wonderful too. Everyone here goes above and beyond every visit from servers to the kitchen staff. This spot is beautiful too. Lots of celebrations were happening around us. Large parties got the same attention and care as our table of two. Fleur is such a hidden gem in providence that more people need to check out!

I've been here for brunch and after dinner cocktails + dessert. I wasn't a fan of the brunch, although I enjoyed the musician. I like this place for drinks and dessert. It's decorated very nicely and the servers are nice. The crème brûlée cheesecake had a great presentation and taste.

This was my first visit to Fleur and it absolutely lived up to the high praise from my friend who recommended it! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and I was especially impressed by the number of gluten-free options available. The chef even personally suggested a few dishes for us to try! We started with seasonal cocktails and warm gluten-free bread, which set the tone for a great meal. The standout was the gluten-free barbecue chicken flat bread pizza. It was incredibly tangy, flavorful and honestly one of the best GF pizzas I've had. We also shared a delicious chicken entrée and both dishes came with generous portions. We were so full that we couldn't finish half of our plates and didn't have room left for dessert... next time! We're already looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommend!

Hands down the nicest restaurant in RI! The restaurant looks fancy with bright/airy lighting and gold tones. Even the utensils were gold! I loved the decor of the restaurant, it was very tasteful and classy. The restaurant itself is located on the 2nd floor of the Omni hotel in Providence. Parking in this area is tough but they have valet at the hotel and the restaurant can validate your parking for $12. You can also park in the mall and walk over. Makes for a great brunch spot with the girls or even date night. I came for brunch and wish they had more of a variety however everything I got was delicious. The clam chowder was a perfect texture and shrimp cocktail was a good size. The flatbreads were also tasty. The restaurant is expensive but you really pay for the ambiance.

Very beautiful and vibrant place! I was so surprised by how lovely it was. The burger was delicious, salmon was nicely cooked, dessert was great, and the cocktails were absolutely amazing! The lady served us was new but so kind, friendly, and attentive. After diner we decided to hangout at the bar because there were live music. The DJ was really good! I think people not coming to this place because it is located inside the hotel and on the second floor. If you want a place to eat, to have a drink, or dance later of the night, this is your spot!

I was lucky to have tried North when it was open so when I saw the former chefs were preparing the meal for Chef Night, I knew I had to sign up and was so glad I did. The meal was stupendous! The first course was shrimp and corn fritters. The fritters were filled with shrimp and corn and you can visually see the shrimp and corn. It wasn't overly doughy and the sauce was delicious! Chef Andrew described the dish and he told us that the shrimp was locally sourced from Dune Brothers. The second course was noodles with tomato and pepper dashi and grilled fish. The noodles were fresh, but it started to get a little clumpy. The dashi was really flavorful. The third course was miso tres leches cake with sakura whipped cream. This course I was the most excited about and it totally blew my expectations. Chef Andrew told us that they hand picked sakura petals and made their own whipped cream. The tres leches cake was moist, dense, and airy. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. Bravo to chefs Andrew McQuesten and Stephen Sternkopf for a wonderful locally sourced meal. Jean-Marc and the other bartender were also very friendly and accommodating. They checked on all the customers throughout the night and made yummy drinks. I had the Toasted Venture. This is one of the signature cocktails and has Toasted Pumpkin Seed-Infused Misguided Spirits Red Sky Silver Rum/Cynar/St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur/Rosemary Elixir/Mole Bitters. It was very good. It's best for small groups (no more than 4-5). I love the customer service here: our server explained the alcohol as we got each of our cocktails. I will admit, though, because I'm slightly hard of hearing, I missed a lot of the explanations, but that's ok. I came in a group of four and we all took sips of each other's drinks and that was really fun! Every drink was great, but I do favor my sake drink, white port/cream soda cocktail, the vermouth, and the one with the amaretto. Don't expect the menus to be the same as in this review! They do change it frequently and have non-alcoholic mocktails, too. We heard about this place from coworkers and that they had won an award for best new bar--an award that's well-deserved.

From our arrival, the hospitality was top tier. Warm, welcoming, unrushed. The space itself is cozy and intimate, with this beautifully curated burnt-orange vibe that feels a like a 1930s-40s Cuban lounge. Even the staff subtly matched the aesthetic and color scheme. You can tell a ton of thought went into every detail of this place. Every cocktail we tried was creative, balanced, and thoughtfully composed. Presentation was beautiful without being gimmicky. One of the hosts/servers took the time to explain each drink. We also tried the flan. It was silky, perfectly set, just sweet enough: 10/10. Once there, we learned that Loma's Latino-owned, and that heritage is subtly celebrated throughout--from their curated Salsa playlist on the high def sound system to their inclusion of Latin American flavors and ingredients in their menu. Oh and one of the details we loved most: there's no big wall of liquor bottles on display like you see in most places. They keep only a few featured spirits visible and tuck everything else away, which gives the whole space a more intimate, upscale, almost homey feel. In short: impeccable vibes, genuinely warm hospitality, gorgeous space, incredible drinks, and thoughtful details everywhere. Loma is exactly the kind of bar you hope to stumble upon when traveling--and the kind that makes you wish you lived closer. A must-visit. We'd come back in a heartbeat.
