Handicapped accessibility is so-so. Make sure you mention that when reservation. Our first visit was to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Turns out they had almost all high top tables, however we were able to be seated at the low table that seats 8. Other members of our party were able to be seated at 2 comfy chairs and a few nearby high tops. Food: excellent! Service:: excellent Ambiance: excellent So good that my husband requested to return for his birthday the next month. Only glitch was they had double booked. However we were still able to be seated in "our" spot read more

Went there last night & had two bartenders physically grab my hands to take a already paid drink out of my hand due to an altercation that happened with some people I was there with. The altercation happened prior to me getting there yet I was treated like I was there the whole time. Mind you before they put their hands on me, one of the bartenders had the nerve to ask where was her tip, after she got the tip is when she decides I have 5 mins to drink my drink or I was going to be thrown out of there! Last time I checked bartenders are able to refuse service but physically grabbing my hand not by one but two workers is definitely a assault! When she grabbed my drink & threw it away, I asked for a refund and they refused! Stay away from this place if you don't want to end up in jail for defending yourself and value your money! read more

TLDR: Ambience: 10/10 Food: 7.5/10 --OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE! DRINK: 10/10 Friend and I needed a place to go after a community event. A lovely woman in the restroom overheard my friend and I unsure on where to venture, and she suggested this place! Moody and welcoming. Absolutely loved it. We went in ~10:45 on a Wednesday pm. Apparently they do live jazz weekly as well, but we'd come too late. A handful of bar patrons, a couple making out in the back of the dining room at their cute table, a lovely bartender, me& my bff. We really hit the jackpot for ambiance last night. Decor in there is so cute. I wish I took a picture of the table lamp on the bar. It was embellished with beads hanging on the rim of the shade. Our drinks were top notch. Mine was a citrus vanilla profile and hers was a savory martini. The sandwich, I had one bite of it was yummy. I don't like imitation lunch meats though. CATFISH was breaded and fried fabulously. Not oily. Crispy and crunchy. So happy to have discovered this place! The bartender told us they just celebrated 6 years of business! read more

Unwelcoming vibe if you're not white. Ignored us when we needed service. Small tables, didn't bring us water, only gave us one napkin for 2 people, never came back to ask us how food was. Fries were too salty. read more

This is a great atmospheric bar with a variety of comfortable seats. There's a food window with New Orleans inspired fair and there's a great menu of custom cocktails. I went on a Wednesday night to hear jazz and it was a really nice place. The prices seem very reasonable. read more

If you're in the mood for a classy spot with live music and fun cocktails The Royal Bobcat is perfect. They have live jazz several nights a week (check their IG for days and times). Bartenders are always friendly and happy to help with drink recommendations. The ambiance is intimate and cozy. If you get hungry after a couple drinks sober up with a delicious and giant po'boy from Sadie's or sample some of their other cajun cuisine. This is a great date spot - get there early so you can sit close to each other in the corner both and people watch while you sip . read more

Ambiance was perfect from the moment we walked in. The decor is beautiful, and the staff was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience feel elevated. They also had live music, and that was honestly the highlight of the night, it was amazing and added so much to the overall vibe. The food was okay, not bad by any means, but nothing that really stood out or blew me away. This is definitely the kind of place you come to for the drinks, the live music, and the atmosphere more than the food. If you're looking for a spot with great vibes and a fun, lively energy, this is it. read more

This experience was a late Friday bar night~ this place still felt comfy and cozy, with seats available for small groups and plenty seating available ~ I really saw this place more full than usually? But it wasn't crowded at all~ music was very southern cartoon, which was good because we weren't paying attention to it, and my friends had a full chisme session, as girlies do in the evenings~~ I had a mango away and it was delicious and worth the price. Cajun fries were the best and perfectly seasoned shareable food for our table~ Order at the bar for your food and open a tab~ they do get busy so the wait can take some time, but they will deliver it if they can to your table~ I would come back again for a casual bar night~ read more

The Royal Bobcat is such a cool place to hangout and grab drinks and food. The food is served by Hanju kitchen. Drink orders are placed at the bar & food orders are placed at the kitchen window. The decor is cozy with cat pictures on the walls. There are a good amount of tables and bar seating. The bartender was very friendly and took his time to explain the drinks and give recommendations. I had the Royal Hawaiian which has Empress 1908 Gin, Pineapple Juice, Lemon, and Almond Syrup. It was very good and the color is so pretty. I'll definitely be coming back for their live jazz nights. read more

This spot is fun. It's different for sure! We came for ramen night and it was really amazing. The food and dessert was tasty. The drinks we ordered were great too. I loved the ambiance. It was unique and super chic while still cozy. The bartenders were attentive and wonderful. It was a fun spot for a midweek girls night. read more

The drinks were solid, but the bar was completely empty. I went with my husband and sister in law around 5:30pm on a Wednesday, so maybe the ambiance is better at other times. We will go back at another time to try more drinks and see if there is more going on there. It just felt a little out of the way from other spots, which may factor in to not being busy at that time. read more

My plan was to have dinner at Hanju Kitchen and then learned it's actually located inside The Royal Bobcat (you order the food at a little kitchen window). So visiting The Royal Bobcat was a result of my dinner plans, however I absolutely loved it! It's such a fun space, with elegant pictures of cats on the walls. The seating is cool and funky, and it just has a really nice vibe. There was one bartender when we were there on a weeknight, but it was only around 5:30pm and probably got busier later on. I tried the Royal Hawaiian and really loved it. A beautiful and tasty drink I'd order again. Even though my purpose for visiting The Royal Bobcat was initially for the food at Hanju Kitchen, I'm so glad it gave me an opportunity to discover this fun and interesting lounge/bar. I'll happily return. read more

I door dashed gumbo and beignets. I couldn't be more disappointed. The food was not good. Had no resemblance of gumbo. The food was super dry. I literally got a cup of rice with a pinch of meat to cover the top. The price was expensive for the serving size. Never again. Highly disappointed read more

This is my go-to recommendation for anyone looking for something a little different on the Hill. Yes, you could go to one of the half dozen wine bars or hookah bars but wont have the same experience. This bar is dimly lit, fantastically decorated with outstanding cocktails, what else could a girl ask for? The tiny "pop-up" kitchen serves up delicious Korean dishes. Just do yourself a favor and grab a drink, spend some time and enjoy yourself. read more

Stopped by here for a drink with a couple of friends on our first night in Rhode Island. Drinks were actually pretty strong and great for what you're paying. Has a nice edgy vibe and sort of reminds you of a speakeasy. Expect to pay around $16 for a drink - pretty standard! read more

This place is my dream come true. New Orleans themed cocktails, Korean food and live jazz music in a speakeasy setting? Sign me up. The interior decor and ambiance when you walk in is astounding. Love the corner food counter. For drinks, got the cranberry jalapeño margarita and the last word. Both cocktails were pretty good. For food, we got the spicy gumbo, pork dumplings and the surf and turf rice. Loved the gumbo. Good depth of flavors. Pork dumplings were good as well. Surf and turf rice was Aok, didn't really like the fried shrimp. Wish they had one with just the beef bulgogi. Side of kimchi would be nice too. Overall great experience. They have live jazz on Wednesday and Saturday nights. read more

I've been coming to the Royal Bobcat for a few years now. Great decor, great drinks, great food, the bartenders are pleasant. But I'm having trouble with it being in the speakeasy category with the overly loud, 1990s music that makes you feel like you're at a rock concert. It doesn't match the vibe of the place and is far from relaxing. Its Facebook & Instagram advertise it as "little jazzy cocktail bar" & "1930s jazzy New Orleans"... I hope the owners come back to its own mission statement. read more

This place was my spot for about a year. Great ambiance and chill vibe witg super comfy seating. I loved Hanju Kitchen, the food was so good and they were super friendly. However, I went there recently and now there's a new place occupying the kitchen, food was ok but definitely not as good as hanju kitchen. The bartender there is really good but sometimes he's a little zooted but I guess that comes with the job lol. I will try this place one more time before finding a new chill spot.v read more

When you want to feel like you're in New Orleans, but don't want the hassle of walking down Bourbon. A bar on Atwells that feels absolutely nothing like the other bars on Atwells. For those who knew it before, Royal Bobcat sits where Lili Marlene's once was (RIP to the best burger in town). The space feels entirely different, and the devil is truly in the details. A diverse and knowledgeable staff are slinging out affordable cocktails, great beer, and classic swill (High Life and Miller Light do indeed have a room in the fridges here). Looking to go high brow and impress a date? Yeah you can do that here. Looking to sling back a few beer and shot specials and catch up with the crew? Yeah, you can do that too. Or maybe you're trying to hear some New Orleans inspired jazz? Yeah a three peat, because you can do that at the Bobcat too. Oh and if you're hungry? HanJu Kitchen is nestled inside, serving Korean Asian fusion bar food style. Queer friendly. Woman owned. Rarely bro filled. read more

The interior is well decorated and I liked the coconut drink I had. We did not realize that there is a jazz band on Saturdays. It is so loud that you cannot even have a conversation. We will return another time when there is no band playing. read more

Excellent drinks (and we're way picky) and the jazz on the system was great but WAY TOO LOUD for cocktail hour. Also the room was FREEZING. The Ban-hattan comes with a side of peanuts, which is a good reason to order it, since you need a nibble with a cocktail. Suggestion: ALL of the drinks should have an accompanying nibble. The only other option for a snack is food from the Korean Cajun next door, which is OK for a meal but not for cocktails. read more
