Incredible live music from Newport Jazz
    John W.

It's a 5. I really wanted to make it a four. I loved the old place. I loved the old bar. I wanted to see littlenecks on the menu. I wanted to make it a four because our first data point was that we couldn't get a glass of wine because they couldn't find a bottle opener,...but,...the staff was amazing and never kept us waiting despite the crowd, the food was superb - the flavor of the shrimp dish was incredible , and the quality of the live jazz on Wednesday night far surpassed expectations. Management checked in on us and we spoke about their connection to the Providence community. Prices are what they are everywhere but I'm really happy Cranston has the new, old, new gem! Can't wait to go back.

Fabulous soft open for the Blue Room. Drinks were amazing. I had the Midnight Rose. Hot appetizers were delicious. If they are an indication of the food menu it will be amazing. The decor was modern and tasteful. The place was packed, live music playing. I am really looking forward to visiting again after next week's official opening.

I dined at The Blue Room for a Christmas get together with coworkers. We pick a restaurant each year and on a recommendation we decided on this restaurant. There is no Restaurant parking, We were greeted by a young lady at the counter and were seated promptly (there was a reservation) the space is tastefully done, nice blue decor and a nice red couch with a quote on the wall near the bathroom. The waitress came over and was friendly and prompt throughout the dining experience. I ordered a classic margarita and requested tajin for the rim, I'm not sure why it was put on the side of the glass ( I would assume for an esthetic look) who wants to be licking the side of a glass especially in public. For appetizers we went with the crab cake tower and perri perri garlic shrimp which was delicious, next was the entree I went with the grilled octopus and while delicious the portion was small leaving me hungry by the end of the meal. We did have the young lady that greeted us come over to ask if we were staying for the band which we said yes, she said she would check if there was another reservation for the table, there was not so we were able to stay (that was a little odd) They do play live music we so happened to be there for the start (nice band). One observation which gave me a maybe on visiting again was that the owner and manager were present that night and I could observe they have their regular clientele by the greeting, hugging and chatting but there were other tables including my table that were first time guest and not one person came over to see how our meals were or how our experience was. I know this is Pawtuxet Village a community in itself with many locals which is great but I feel you have to also build clientele from surrounding areas. Both the manager and owner fell short in my observation , you never know who is entering your establishment. I do commend the waitress for being amazing and answering our questions.

My first visit was AMAZING!!! I woke up this morning already thinking about when I can go back. The space is absolutely beautiful! It's sleek, clean, and so well put together. Our server, Andre, was super personable and attentive. The sangria was delicious, and as someone who appreciates a good espresso martini, I can honestly say it was a 10/10. My dad couldn't stop raving about the shrimp ceviche appetizer special and the meatball. The bacon jam on the burger was to die for, and the hand-cut fries...YUM. The mac trio is a must-try! Dessert was also a hit at our table...the molten lava cake 10/10 All of the food came out hot and fresh. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner, Jen, checked in on us, as well as the manager, Lauren. It was awesome to see the owner so attentive and genuinely making sure all the customers were taken care of...something you don't see often!

Firstly, the ambiance is so inviting. A beautiful, well stocked bar awaits you is you step into the room. The barstools are so so comfortable and on a swivel. Barstools are, (I have found)mostly too high to navigate comfortably and do not allow for movement. (My own personal peeve.) I cozied up to the bar and finally ordered a cosmopolitan. Honestly, I've never seen or tasted a cosmo w no color(and no trace of alcohol). The bartender was very obliging and added some simple syrup and a little more cranberry juice, to no avail.) As I waited for my friends to join me. I decided to order a snack. I love this place but am in awe of, how do you mess up popcorn? The best solution would be to buy(or offer) bagged popcorn. Just a suggestion. The music was wonderful. WONDERFUL! I pray this place thrives. The staff is so accommodating and pleasant. The venue is amazing, inviting, and just what is needed in this area. So regardless of the drink and "food"( which I found out afterwards, food can be brought in from outside), I am giving this establishment 5 stars. I will stick to ordering wine,--which was delicious--and bringing in my own food.

What a cute little place. Stopped by as a recommendation after having dinner at a local Cranston restaurant. We made it there by 7:30pm, live music starting at 8pm with a $10pp cover charge. We asked if we could grab a drink at the bar and decide if we were staying which was welcomed. Mac and Zach behind the bar were quick, fun, attentive, and not too bad on the eyes (wink wink). The atmosphere was light hearted filled with an eclectic cliental, my gf and I made friends with several other folks at the bar. I can see this becoming a regular stop for us.

Great atmosphere for jazz. We were there for girls night out for Brain James Quintet record release. A group of 7 and we bought our tickets ahead(only $15 pp). Nice drink menu: full bar, beers and wines. Average pricing (nice glasses!). The owner/manager came to welcome us and or server was attentive but not overly. Definitely a place I'd go back to.

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.

The space is a large modern hanger-style food court with a large bar station and plenty of seating in and outdoors on large patio. Wonderful for families and groups to gather around at long large tables. We found a table by the end by a large screen wall tv with sports on and comfy leather club chairs Great for drinks and talking. First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. It was a cold chilly day, but the overflow folks were headed outside of the picnic tables, which seemed very cold to me, but on a warm day I would all be very nice. A note on parking, we parked in the adjacent parking garage right near behind Track 15 and get your ticket validated inside at wall kiosk by the door when Leaving. This will save you, so two hours cost about $8.95.

Looked at all of our options and I decided to go with Mexican from Dolores and my wife decided to go with Giusto PVD. I wish I had chosen Italian over Mexican. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. I really wanted to order a long Liv beer, but the bartender was talking to someone, I assume that they knew, as although I was only the second person in line I didn't get waited on for over 10 minutes. I ended up walking away to go get my food and just drank water. So my first experience here was not great, overall I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm going to go back and try again as there are a few other restaurants. I really do like the idea of being able to get dishes from different restaurants, pick your own seat and sit with other people at a community table. It's really nice inside and they had live music tonight, which would've been great if we wanted to stay. Next time I go back, I'm definitely having Italian, pizza and some falafel.
