I'll need to preface this review by stating that I visited Gilligan's Bar during the holiday season when they had the Miracle Bar Pop Up. The Miracle Bar is a Christmas-themed cocktail pop-up that transforms local bars into festive winter wonderlands with holiday drinks, over-the-top decor, and take-home mugs. They have this pop up in NYC, Boston, and now on Chalkstone Ave in Providence, RI. Once you walk in, you're greeted with holiday music, plenty of sparkling lights, and so much green and red that it's hard not to have some holiday cheer. The holiday-themed cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. We had ours served up perfectly by our friendly, personable, and beautiful bartender Eleanore. Gilligan's does have snacks to order; however, during the summer they have a food truck that I heard is really good. The bar has street parking and is small but intimate on the inside which gives it a cozy feel.

Found this gem on TikTok. Came to support Amanda and she was a treat. You could tell they have some loyal regulars, which is a great sign. All I had were a couple of ciders and a NUTRL but I will definitely be back to try the specialty drinks like the mango margarita and pride lemonade made with a local cranberry vodka. I loved all of the millennial core decor all around the bar. There is parking in the back so don't be discouraged if you can't find street parking.

They have games in the center of each table. Nothing wrong with a little wine and Jenga.

My friends and I stumbled in on a chilly evening while exploring the city a bit. Now dive bars aren't my typical scene; however, I must say that Gilligan's was such a fun time. The drinks were affordable and strong, and each table had a fun game in the middle (we sat at the table with "Jenga Rules!") and before we know it a few hours went by like that *snap*. I recommend downloading their jukebox app so you can control to tunes being played to enhance the fun you'll already have.

Don't sleep on this gem! This has something for everyone- chill vibes, games, and great drinks. It honestly has the best wine list I've seen since Fortnight closed (thanks to Amanda!). We stopped in on a rainy Saturday and caught a fantastic acoustic Guitarist. You won't go wrong by stopping by Gilligan's. Pro tips - Cash only but there is ATM - Parking in the Back - Excellent Wine List

Great "dive bar" or local spot. Small Spot, but friendly and nice local crowd. They have popcorn and a little food truck now. good prices

It's National Popcorn Day on a Friday!

So, I was understandably hesitant about a new bar moving into what was considered by many to be hallowed ground. Since I walk by it on my way home from work, I decided to stop in soon after it first opened to see what it was like. And now I am a regular and it's one of my favorite watering holes in the city. Super cool atmosphere, with tons of horror movie memorabilia on the walls. A couple of pinball machines ( including a brand new Evil Dead one which is really sweet), and neat liitle outback area for nicer days. They also occasionally have music and drag shows inside, and in the summer months cool shows outside in the parking lot next door. You can also grab a grilled cheese or a hot dog from Puggles Grilled Cheese most days of the week if you're feeling peckish. And my favorite thing... PICKLEBACKS.... !!!! All the drinks are cheap and they have a good selection of beers and ciders. Maybe most importantly, the owners Jeff and Courtney are absolutely lovely people who really understood keeping the locals vibe of the E & O era but also being it's own thing. Definitely support this great establishment.

They also have a great jukebox. Bartenders are friendly and quick. There's usually some kind of punch available with a name like Ecto-cooler which is a weird color but completely delicious if you're into that sort of thing. They sometimes have pop-ups there, one time they had fancy grilled cheese sandwiches. Definitely a fun spot! It's pretty small inside so just know that and don't roll in with a huge crew...

Inside, there is bar that goes almost the length of the building, topped completely in pennies, with a couple of small tables at the rear. Bartender lady was busy with the regulars, knowing what everyone drank. She kept the cold beers coming for hubby & made a mean vodka soda for me. On our right, the guys were knee-deep into drinking. On our left, we met a pho aficionado with an opinion on every place in Rhode Island that serves it (Ebisu & Uncle Sushi were his faves). Cheap beer, stiff pours & an eclectic, slightly older crowd made for an interesting outing. It is everything a true dive bar should be (& the restroom was surprisingly very clean). FYI - no food service & cash only.

There's one bartender there which was nice but not much of a personality. I usually go there after a night of drinking for the after party. There's on-street parking and if you go early enough there's still room at the bar. There's also a jukebox. It's far from a fancy place but it's a fun place to kick back and relax with your friends. It's open late and it's a fun environment when you're playing your own music on the jukebox. Every-time I visit my friends we always somehow end the night here; usually on the weekends. If you're in the area and looking for laidback fun, check this place out. They don't have food but they sell chips and snacks. I also like how the bar top is lined with pennies!

Drinks were great. They have seats outside or inside. They have a special board inside of drinks and dishes for the day. They have a full bar and food is pub food. Perfect for one or to share. Lucky Enough is a cool funky neighborhood joint that feels like a cross between a dive and a sports bar. Rock n roll memorabilia adorns the walls along with quite a few TVs showing various sporting events. The drinks are decently priced and they have malort !! Now that may be a positive or a negative for you. The banh mi was excellent. Crusty bread, the way it should be and the whole package was very flavorful. I like that they use Laotian sausage in it, which is a great touch. My only gripe with lucky enough is if it's really busy and you are stuck sitting on the long table with the super giant TV behind you it can feel a little annoying. But outside of this it's a great place and I look forward to trying more items from the menu.
