What a gem!! We went walking and reminiscing at the old rocky point. Afterwards we needed to cool down and have a drink. This bar is 2 minutes away. Stopped in to cool down. I was expecting a local bar where everyone stopped talking and looked at you as you walked in. Sign on the door says characters welcome. I walked in and said i hear you are looking for characters. Here we are! What a great place! The bartender was amazing! Filled up my water jug and gave me a cooling compress. I had an absolute with sprite and didn't cost me $20. It also has an outside space with tables in the shade. The regulars were very kind and talkative. If I lived closer, this would be my go to place. read more

I've been on the hunt for a Fish & Chips spot since Stadium in Cranston closed. I think I may have found it. There's this little neighborhood bar, right in front of the Rocky Point entrance in Warwick Neck. Fish and Chips are on the specials menu, a chalkboard right next to the bar that also sported Prime Rib and Baked Cod on the night we visited. Little might not be the best description, it's a definitely a neighborhood place, tucked right into a residential area, houses all around, but the bar itself is a pretty grand affair. Its a big horseshoe shaped thing, something like 20-25 seats, and beyond it hightop tables for another 30+, then there's an expansive outside area, not so handy here in December, but its probably just the thing in nice weather. In years past, this use to be a very popular destination for a motorcycle ride. I imagine in nice weather it's likely to be the same. There is an absolutely huge parking lot. Anyway, the Fish & Chips were pretty great. Old School style, with a flour based batter, thin and crispy brown on the outside. The fish was nice, firm, piping hot and delicious. I also got an order of Clam Cakes, and though they aren't road trip worthy like an Aunt Carries, I didn't leave a single one left over. Not too shabby. One helpful hint. If you're going for dinner, have a look at the website to see if it's a live music night. On the night we visited, the band was rocking, and the show started early, so dinner that night definitely came with music. read more

True Score: 4 Stars Bar What's not to like, this first thing a bar. They did the community a solid by opening the outdoor area during COVID times. Great spot to grab a bucket of beers and sit outside. They also serve some surprising good food. The fried chicken club sandwich is delicious. What I like the most is that this is one of the rare "bars in a residential neighborhood" left. They have a great spot at the end of the road in Warwick Neck. They usually have live music too. This is a locals pub, with delicious food and super nice wait staff and bartenders. Reasonably priced, hot and fresh. Although I stick to the pub type foods, burgers, wings, fried chicken sandwiches. So good. My husband recently had the Mediterranean fish, which he raved about. That was definitely a step above pub food. read more

Rough around the edges The Bottom Line Bar & Grill is a neighbor type of place that is located close to where the old Rocky Point Amusement Park use to be. I suspect at one time this place use to be a lot wilder and crazier but even now it becomes obvious to the most casual observer that this is not a sophisticated or snooty type of bar. Even though it is a bit rough in spots the inside is surprising clean and well lit during the day and they actually serve up a pretty good and inexpensive breakfast and lunch. However it is during the later and darker hours that this place really comes alive. After the sun goes down the place becomes quite dim and usually very loud with various types of hillbilly rock blasting thought the small joint. All sorts of interesting folks come through here, some for a quick drink, others to play pool or talk with friends for hours. Although some of the patrons might look a bit scruffy I haven't noticed very many altercations, at least no really serious ones. Definitely not the place to go for a quiet drink or to impress a date. This is the type of place to go and drink yourself into oblivion, get some munchie food, hear some loud music, play some pool or meet and talk to some interesting people. Stopped in for a brew, stayed the whole night. As other reviewers observed, this is not an upscale joint. Infact that may be its draw, truly a judgment free zone. I saw punks and rap kids and what I think was a 5'5" tall Beaver walking around. All in perfect harmony. The bar does not stock bitters which in my opinion is its only flaw. Also I was obligated to try the menu and whoever they have behind the grill needs to have his own cooking show. This man is a veritable Emril Legasse without all the cheesy catch phrases. Lamb was on the menu the night I went and at 1/3 the price of a Federal Hill Establishment this meal was fit for a socialite. NOT YOUR AVERAGE BAR FARE. Yes they have burgers and chicken wings on the menu, but I'd be surprised if they weren't the best damn Burgers and Chicken Wings you've ever indulged in. Thank you Warwick Neck for preserving this place and hiding it from chain bars and salty bar food. I will see you next Friday, Most definitely. read more

Just your local watering hole... Nothing too exciting but as it is the only establishment within walking distance of our house we like to frequent it. Bar keeps are friendly and so are the patrons. We've never gone for fish and chips on the weekend though so I can't attest to the food... read more

The bottom line bar and grill is definatly a dive bar in an unusual secluded location, but the crowd is almost always friendly. Its a small joint with one big horseshoe bar and lots of tables that can accomidate groups of people when the bar is full. Not a lot of tvs but you can see them clearly from anywhere in the bar. The beer is probably the cheapest around and the drinks are more than reasonably priced, and quite good. Not many beers on tap although they have a surprizing amount of bottled beer choices, although the bottled beer is not well advertized. I have been here several times and had three different bartenders they were all very friendly attentive and conversive without being over chatty. Its old but the bar area and tables are clean and tidy, though the back porch could look a little nicer. It was a nice surprize to see my second time there that the place has what appears to be a small kitchen staff that puts out very good food. I had what i think was called a cowboy burger? It was better than most other bar burgers in the area. I also tried the scallop dinner which is a bargain for eight dollars and a big plate, but they only have that item on friday and saturday. Overall not a place for a fancy date or a quiet evening, but a great place to get a stiff drink, cheap beer, and a late night bite. read more
