We are always looking for the hidden gems nearby. You can't see this place from Main Street and…read morewould easily drive right past it. Turn onto Weaver and you'll see a security door at the side of the building with the business name in small letters. At the back of the building is another door under an awning. The parking lot has a fair number of spaces and on street parking in the neighborhood behind is possible. There are no hours posted on the door, but the owner, Jay, let us know they open at 11 and close late. If no one is in the bar, they'll close around 11ish. If it's hoppin', they'll close around midnight or so. Bartenders choice. Jay seems like a very nice person. Community minded. They don't serve food, but on game days and other special events, they will have food for their customers if I understand rightly. The outside isn't much to look at, but the inside is very comfortable. Don't be put off by the outward appearance. High top tables and bar seating have backs. There is a digital jukebox by the side entrance at the end of the bar. The bar runs along the wall opposite the entrance with the awning at the back of the building. They have a fair amount of whiskeys and vodkas among other selections. Draft beers and bottles, single pour bottles of wine and if you have a hankering for an espresso martini, they can make that too. I stuck with a draft beer. The pool table is off to the side at the moment, but plans to put it back in the center are in the works. There is also a boxing game and a dart board. One bathroom for all. It's clean, laid back, nice people. We will be stopping in again.

We were quickly greeted by the bartender who was the nicest bartender I have met in a while! They had the best beer known to man Miller High Life and she was making food to feed the customers but we had to go in sure it was amazing as the other bar mates had noted! I will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Bartender seating people had a terrible attitude. Talked to patrons like they were children. Ordered a lemon meringue martini. Thought it tasted an awful lot like pineapple. Bartender asked me if it was "ok". I just said yes because I didn't feel like complaining. Afterwards, I heard her telling somebody at the bar that she forgot to put lemon in it. She forgot to put lemon in the lemon meringue martini. Must be why it tasted like pineapple. We ordered stuffy's, which took forever to come out as we watch everybody else that came after us get their appetizers. Probably waited a half hour to even put our order and we had to repeatedly ask staff for everything because nobody would come over to the table. I got fish and chips. My husband got a veal Parm sandwich. The food was good, but the tartar sauce tasted oddly like nutmeg or cinnamon. Sat waited and waited and waited. Finally asked for our bill only to get someone else's bill and have to go back up to ask for our bill. I guess the locals must like this place but we did not... definitely a one and done for us.

That's a lot, but on this day, the place was almost empty. Nice weather = low patrons. Everyone is out enjoying the day. A few more parties did arrived during our visit and sat both inside and out so they got busy. The bartender took our drink order and handed over menus. This two sided, laminated menu has a lot on offer. Pub fare like wings, burgers and sandwiches, plus entrées, salads and apps. Once we ordered we were given place mats and flatware. We both got sandwiches and side salads. The salads came out first with our dressings on the side. I chose their house dressing which seems to be a mix of dressing like thousand island and some others. It's mild and pleasant. The salad is fresh and for a side salad, a good size. Our meals came out shortly after we had finished our salads and wow, this is a lot of food. Both were very tasty with fresh bread, plenty of toppings and my burger was cooked as ordered. We ended up taking half of both home. The fries were very good. This spot was recommended to us by a waitress at another nearby restaurant. It's a nice, neighborhood restaurant and bar. Friendly staff. Solid food.
