Turn onto Weaver and you'll see a security door at the side of the building with the business name in small letters. At the back of the building is another door under an awning. The parking lot has a fair number of spaces and on street parking in the neighborhood behind is possible. There are no hours posted on the door, but the owner, Jay, let us know they open at 11 and close late. If no one is in the bar, they'll close around 11ish. If it's hoppin', they'll close around midnight or so. Bartenders choice. Jay seems like a very nice person. Community minded. They don't serve food, but on game days and other special events, they will have food for their customers if I understand rightly. The outside isn't much to look at, but the inside is very comfortable. Don't be put off by the outward appearance. High top tables and bar seating have backs. There is a digital jukebox by the side entrance at the end of the bar. The bar runs along the wall opposite the entrance with the awning at the back of the building. They have a fair amount of whiskeys and vodkas among other selections. Draft beers and bottles, single pour bottles of wine and if you have a hankering for an espresso martini, they can make that too. I stuck with a draft beer. The pool table is off to the side at the moment, but plans to put it back in the center are in the works. There is also a boxing game and a dart board. One bathroom for all. It's clean, laid back, nice people. We will be stopping in again.

I will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

I like the vibe of this place, as well as the menu, drinks, service, and location (off Providence, right in Warwick by the rotary close to the Warwick city hall). I don't have to deal with parking challenges while getting to enjoy an after work speakeasy to unwind before going home. I enjoy their smoked pork belly bites--just right paired with any cocktail. I've also had a chance to savor their brisket bruschetta, which appeared in their menu for a limited time. This spot is like an oasis in the desert. Come as you are.

There are little details everywhere you look and it feels fun, warm and intentionally designed without trying too hard. It is such a great space for a gathering. The food was delicious. I tried the weekly deviled eggs, a selection of charcuterie and cheeses, and the whipped feta dip with fresh cut veggies. Everything was fresh, flavorful and perfect for grazing during a cocktail-style event. The winter cranberry spritz was basically all of my favorite flavors in one glass. So so good. Their cocktail and mocktail menu really shines and I cannot wait to go back and try more. As someone with food intolerances, I asked plenty of questions and everyone was friendly, patient and helpful with both menu guidance and cocktail suggestions. That always makes such a difference. There was even parking, which is a huge bonus. This is the perfect spot for a winter cocktail party or a fun night out. I will definitely be gathering my girls and heading back soon.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The fries were great, sandwiches were also really good! Would like to come back and get one of their main dishes as they all sounded pretty good. We got the bread pudding for dessert (sorry forgot the photo) but that was really good!! Would get again.

They do not have mixed drinks. I tried the Veal Parmesan and was very pleased with it. The veal was tender and it tasted like it was baked instead of fried. The sauce was excellent they used fresh cut mozzarella. Instead of pasta, he served it with herb roasted potatoes and fresh roasted Brussels. Every part of it was excellent. We also tried a thin crust pizza with prosciutto and asked him to put buffalo mozzarella on it, which was a game changer. The pizza was excellent as well. The food is fantastic and far better than you would expect for a lounge. Primarily Italian food, the chef executes everything to perfection. They have a basic menu of appetizers, sandwiches and charcuterie, and every week the chef has a different entree menu with five or six items on it. The chef is so good, I am wondering why he isn't cooking for a big restaurant. Well, at least here he has control over the quality of the food. If you are in Rhode Island, stop by for a meal and a drink between 4 pm and 9 pm and thank me later.

One of my current favorites, I'm always surprised they aren't more busy. You can create your own hard seltzer from a list of flavors, which is unique and a good touch and seems to be popular. The Pride / Rainbow Candy sour is unique and flavorful without all of that slightly painful tartness a sour beer typically has. I like the Blackberry Shandy more than I thought I would since I don't always love that watered down Shandy vibe, but this one is light and refreshing for summer with a perfect amount of fruit flavor.
