It is nice to know that some good things don't change (much). We used to be regulars at the Brickway in the mid 2000s and had many an enjoyable meal- they used to have a particular table assistant (whose name is temporarily escaping me) who always made our son feel like a superstar. We returned this summer and it was as cute and funky as ever and was still delicious! On this trip, my friend and I each got a savory item and split a sweet special. I really enjoyed the Norwegian Omelette. I would recommend going to Brickway on Wickenden. The food was not the best that I have ever tasted, but it was good and priced at a decent price, it was worth it for its price. The service is relatively fast and the people there are all very friendly. I ordered an omelette which comes with home fries and toast. When I order an omelette at some places, I feel like the ratio between eggs and toppings is a bit off and it tastes like I am just eating plain eggs. I've had it twice now and it's so good. Also, I've gone on a weekday as well as a weekend and have had no wait to be seated. The wait staff is friendly and willing to make up for mistakes (ex. my omelette was supposed to come with home fries, which the chef forgot, so the waitress brought out a hot, extra large serving after I pointed out the error). I got French toast with lemon yogurt and blueberries and a glass of orange juice. I thought the orange juice was great and had some pulp in it. The lemon yogurt added a nice tangy flavor to the French toast but the French toast itself was kinda soft. It didn't have the crispy outer coating and it was just mostly soft and moist all around. Despite being so busy the food came out rather quick and the staff did a good job of collecting plates and payments in a timely manner. Parking can be hard to find but it's not impossible.
