This review has been long overdue, since I've been going here for years. This sushi restaurant is a great place to go. The food is always consistent. I usually order the box meal, it is a great buy. The service is amazing, the employees and owner were quick to operate. Also, they always come by to check on you and to see how you were doing(one of my favorite things about this place). This place is a great option to go to for sushi. If you want to go at a time when it's not so busy, I would recommend to goa round 2pm. The one star review is due to an unpleasant waiter (who by the way is a middle aged ajumma with the Michael Meyers serial killer hair style) told us to write down our numbers then scolded us like kids for not listening to her ( we were still deciding wtf to get ), when we were done, she ignored us even though our table was empty for 15 minutes until I got up then she signaled she would bring the check. Me and my friend went there for sushi last night. We only saw our server twice during our whole meal and we didn't get our waters till about 20 to 30 mins in. I understand when it's busy but there was barely anybody in there at all. The table that came in right after us got there door before us and we waiting for another 40 mins before we got our food out. When my friend called In about us catching food poising they called her back and told us that we had to go to the hospital just to get our money back. At this point it's not about the money they need to start checking the quality of there food. I won't be returning and I will not being recommending this place to anybody. read more

Been here a few times for lunch and EVERY TIME I've gotten food poisoning!! Today my friend and I BOTH suffered from food poisoning after we ate here! Not worth it so we won't be returning again. Only went because Love Boat Sushi was closed :( Customer service was good though. read more

food is pretty good in general, but i was here with a group of friends and we are pretty young, the customer service was not the best. they seemed very sarcastic and didn't seem to have much respect for us because we seem young. it seemed like they thought we didn't have enough money for the food. overall food was pretty good but the customer was off. read more

I've been going here every weekend for about 10 years now and I have never had a bad experience! I love the staff and everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced. As a regular here, I recommend this place to anyone! My favorite rolls are the flower special, Fuji roll, and the Cancun roll. Also, they give you free edamame as soon as they seat you and free ice cream at the end of your meal. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

I really love this place because they offer some rolls without any seafood in them which is perfect for me because while I don't eat seafood my boyfriend loves it and it's the perfect substitute. Went to movies at mall and as we were leaving saw Sushi Boat across the street so walked over for a late lunch. What a great choice. Lunch and Dinner menus were same price, very reasonable from 6.95 for a box lunch. That is CHEAP! I had the deep fried Temecula rolls which were very unique and tasty and hubby had the spicy chicken and CA rolls which was delish. Yes, I tried his plate too. The miso soup is the best I've had in Temecula. Waiters were attentive and oh so polite with the traditional bows upon greeting and leaving the table. They even presented complimentary edamame at beginning of meal and strawberry ice cream at the end of meal. This is a true find, try them, you will love them! read more

It took me a while to find this place. Google Maps did not help. I called the place and he helped me out. The place looks clean, nice, and upscale. The waiters were well dressed wearing a dress shirt, tie, and slacks. The waiters were nice. I sat at the sushi bar. There is one television at the bar. I ordered water, miso soup, and the Promenade roll. It was all good. I also got a complementary strawberry sherbet for dessert. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Went to dinner here with my husband, kids, and in laws this past Friday. It was my second time eating here and the sushi is fresh and delicious. I got the usual bento box with beef teriyaki and california rolls. My 1 year old gobbled up most of the rice, miso soup, and the free ice cream that they give you when you're finished. This sushi place has won us over. We won't EVER go anywhere else. Their prices are so great and their service is phenomenal. Sometimes we have to wait awhile for a table, but I don't mind. What's even better is that they have an area in the back next to a table where the kids can play. We usually always get to sit here and the kids love it. They can play while we wait for our food, which is always served quickly. To top it off, they always treat us to a scoop of ice cream on the house after dinner! Love this place. This restaurant is AWESOME! My bf and I have been coming here for years. What I especially like about it is that the employees may not know our names, but they definitely know our faces. We always feel welcome when we dine here. And let me tell u, this is one of the few places where I actually see the owner come out all the time not just to say hello; he pulls his own weight and doesn't tell his employees what they need to do. The sushi is good and the bento boxes are delish. The newly decorated restaurant is more modern, but I like how they kept some of the artwork from the previous place. I visited Sushi Boat recently with my boyfriend for the first time in a long time. This was our first time at the new location and I was very impressed. The service was beyond perfect. They were quick and on it throughout our whole meal. One thing I can't stand is when people constantly come to your table and ask questions to make sure you're okay or anything of the sort. For whatever reason, the staff here at Sushi Boat made sure we were fine but were far from a nuisance. We both got the spicy teriyaki chicken plate, our own tall beers and we shared a small hot sake for 32$.. we both agreed it was a great deal. I was not too pumped on the dark chicken, I prefer the breast/white but after asking my boyfriend what he thought.. apparently dudes enjoy the dark chicken. Other than that, I loved it! My family and I normally go to the Sushi Boat when we are in the mood for Japanese food. We love it! The food is always delicious and beautifully presented, we have great service and the owner, Mark is extremely nice and accommodating. Plus the cost is significantly less than some other sushi restaurants nearby. We won't go anywhere else in town. Our taekwondo school went last Friday night for a special black belt dinner and our tables were set-up and the food just kept coming! Everything was so good. What a great place for a celebration. This place is AWESOME! I first came here with my husband (a huge sushi lover) several years ago because he was craving sushi. I, on the other hand, do not like sushi at all, and hoped that they would offer something that is cooked and is not seafood. I ordered their teriyaki chicken bowl and it was delicious (and filling). We had such a good experience, that every time we are in Temecula (which is roughly once every month or two) we have lunch at Sushi Boat! The food is delicious (my husband will vouch for the sushi, while I can vouch for the chicken teriyaki), and they serve you a scoop of ice cream at the end of your meal. The atmosphere is really nice (very clean, not too fancy yet not too simple) and versatile. And the best thing about Sushi Boat (besides their food) is the service, which is absolutely amazing. We always sit at the bar whenever Phil is working. He is a really nice and funny guy, and according to my husband, makes amazing sushi. We always have had the same server every time we go there (Jimmy). Jimmy is wonderful--he is very nice and a great waiter. After frequenting Sushi Boat for several years (even though we only come once a month or so), he knows what my order is (teriyaki chicken bowl with a Sprite, and fork please!) to the point that he asks me if I will be having my usual meal. The owner of the place is also very nice. Every time we are there, he stops by to say hello and chit chat. For a person that doesn't like sushi, Sushi Boat is one of my favorite restaurants to go to! read more

I decided to try a new sushi place since I've always frequented at One's in Murrietta. This place is as good as One's, actually! The sushi rolls were huge and delicious, nicely packed. The waitress actually did a great job since I was with my parents, baby sister and my boyfriend. I was the only one who ordered sushi. She wasn't overwhelmed with the orders since my parents are picky eaters. We all got the food at the same time, the table was full of plates and she did make sure to give us space taking away empty plates that we were done with. I am not sure if it's the restaurant's habit of giving customers free scoops of strawberry ice cream at the end of the meals but my parents were extra pleased because of the ice cream. The restaurant definitely sent us away on a good note. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to visit again since I moved. read more

This is one of our favorite Sushi restaurants in the area. The service is great. In fact, we've been coming here for years now and they still have the same servers. We almost always order only sushi. The quality is consistently good and there's a large selection of rolls. And as the previous reviews said, it's a great place for the whole family. Definitely kid friendly. This is one of my favorite sushi places in Temecula. I first tried this place a few years ago thinking it would be expensive with small portions because it's in the mall. I was so wrong. The sushi portion is a good size, tastes great, and is inexpensive compared to other places. The owner and staff are always pleasant and very accommodating. They even have a kid table in the back of the restaurant with a tv and toys to keep the little ones quiet. I also like the free edamame and ice cream. read more
