I love the sushi boat. This is my all time favorite place to eat. Great menu and great prices. The food is phenomenal! You get so much food its ridiculous. I frequent this place very very often. They have the best salad dressing. Its pink and tastes amazing. Hard to explain but its to die for. Im so happy I found out you can actually buy there dressing! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. My favorite thing to order is the lemon salmon roll. Super Delicious! And I order the chicken teriyaki plate. For $6 you get soooooo MUCH FOOD. This place is great. I'm obsessed with sushi and this place puts out some pretty good stuff. I used to work in the mall so I would sometimes come here for lunch. I have never really been a fan of lunch boxes at sushi places, but I love their lunch box here. It's what I come here for. The price is unbeatable for what you get. They have a two choice lunch box and a three choice lunch box. I always opt for the three choice. I typically order the beef teriyaki and the two sides I get are sashimi.... Yeah, sashimi! 8 pieces to be exact (4 pieces per side). The lunch box (your choice of teriyaki, rice, & fruit, plus your sides) also comes with a side salad and a bowl of miso soup. With a drink, my total always comes out to 10 bucks and change. I think that is a ridiculously awesome price and I love this option because of it. Its great walking out with a full tummy, on top of having my craving for sushi satisfied. Their sushi or sashimi itself is good. I would give it an 8 on a scale of one to ten for quality. They have an absurd amount of rolls on the menu, which makes it hard to decide, but is great to have the variety. They have over 62 freaking rolls to help you have a better understanding of how absurd. While I have only had a fraction of their rolls, they have all been really good. I also just recently discovered that they have a really great Hawaiian Ahi Poki salad for a great price too. Very good! Service here is always good, however, sometimes they are short on help for the hour of day. Which means your service could be pretty slow (takes a while to get your order in, as well as get your food) so sometimes it's better to sit at the bar because of this. But the staff is always friendly and the manager is really nice and practically ALWAYS has a huge smile on his face. You should definitely check this place out. read more

As someone who isn't a seafood fan, I am happy knowing that Sushi Boat has alternatives for those like me. My favorite thing to order here would be their beef udon. It's flavorful, fresh, and always the perfect temperature to enjoy without burning my mouth. I love the way they start you off with edamame to get your tastebuds rolling. Always a delight to finish off your meal with some of their delicious ice cream. I will continue to eat here and bring my girlfriend and family here to enjoy their amazing food and outstanding service. Second best sushi place in Temecula. If you want the best sushi go to Sushi Love Boat, but Sushi Boat is second. If you're at the Promenade then definitely go here. Really nice service with friendly servers. As a major sushi lover I think this sushi is pretty great and really fresh. As I already said, the service is great and fast. Food is good, I love the fact that they have a separated place for families with small children. They are pretty pricey compared to other sushi places in town, that is why I was really surprised to find out that they charge more if you request extra ginger. Every time I come to the mall I'm curious to try this place. So finally my mom, sister and I finally tried it out for lunch. Glad to say we did. The guys who seated us greeted us very nicely and rushed to open the doors for because we had two strollers. Quickly took our drinks and served us edamame right away. They often came back to check on us. It wasn't overwhelming either, just right! Took our orders and quickly brought out the soup & salad that came with two lunch specials. Our food came out fairly fast too. I got the miso ramen...mmmm super good. Everything was really good about it. The other plates were great too! (Teriyaki chicken and spicy teriyaki yakiudon I think it was) The California roll that came with my ramen and teriyaki chicken was good. Not the best but good. The rice was falling apart; I think that's an important aspect when it comes to sushi. Asked for our check and they quickly got to it unlike other places where it's still a long wait. Brought us boxes and amazing strawberry ice cream. Mind you we didn't ask for the ice cream. It was soooo good! Beyond great service. We went on a slow day around 1:30-2 so I can't speak for other days. But we had a great experience! Definitely will be back! read more

For me, it was just okay. The sashimi slices were so thin that I could see through them, but the flavor and freshness was there. It was clean and really quiet, which was nice. I don't see myself running back here to grab sushi again; I would preferably try another place in the area first, but I would go back if I was in the area and needed a fix. read more

The worst food poisoning I have ever had! I went to Sushi Boat for the first time Friday. Loved the food. Had all raw fish. It tasted fresh and yummy. Then four hours later I felt sick. This lead to sixteen hours of vomiting!!!!!!!!!! After a full 24 hours I felt better. I did call the restaurant and they were excellent about offering to pay for my medical expenses if I went to a doctor or an emergency room. I didn't need too. It passed threw my system within 24 hours. OM GOSH! I liked everything about the place at the time but I think you'll understand why I can't go back. read more

Surprised about this Sushi Bar. They actually have Japanese Sushi Chef making sushi. The Rainbow Sushi was really good. One thing though, I was misunderstood when I ordered a sake bomb. They gave me a bottle of sake and a bottle of beer. I ended up drinking 4 Sake Bomb. Service was great. The servers were very attentive. I will eat there again. read more

The service was the reason for the -1 star. My friend ordered a rainbow role togo and after waiting for 20 minutes we brought it to their attention. We were told that the ticket wasn't up there for some reason but they brought it out right after we said something. Best sushi for taste and for your money!! They give you a complimentary scoop of ice cream after your meal. Nice touch. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable so if you don't know what to get, ask. Best deal is their lunch boxes. Soup, salad, rice, meat and a few rolls for $7. My favorite roll is the smokin aces! It's to die for. This is my go to spot for good food. My favorite sushi place! We tried Sushi Boat on a recommendation and it was worth the drive. They have SO many rolls I can't imagine every trying them all! Since I can't eat much tuna (pregnant), or have anything fried because of the gluten it can be tricky to find rolls that are salmon or white fish based and not fried but they have so many options it's not impossible! The service is top notch and the prices are so reasonable! We can easily leave here for $40 for two people eating sushi and are definitely full when we are done. It can get very crowded since it's in the Promenade but they always have plenty of staff and sushi chefs on hand to make sure the food is served in a timely manner. I took my mom here for Mother's Day dinner and it was terrific! It was our first time here. I loved the decor of the restaurant. It is very CLEAN--which I admire and take into a lot of consideration as I've worked in various dining establishments. The decor was neat with great asian/japanese accents and modern color touches making it a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant was packed as we entered around after 7ish. Every table was occupied which is always a good sign. But we were seated within only 5mins after waiting for 2 parties ahead of us :) which I thought was more than awesome because I didn't expect to be seated so quickly considering how packed they were. They have a very big menu with so many different choices. I believe the last 5 pages or so were completely of the premium sushi rolls with colorful pictures and descriptions of each, which my mom absolutely loved. Mom is not an avid sushi fiend like me, so she enjoyed the pictures a lot! They pretty much have it all, different appetizers such as baked mussels, soft shell crab, stuffed jalapeno, and more. Sushi, sashimi,and yakiudon, rice bowls and bento box combos. We ended up getting the 3 item combo for only $10.95- which was more than enough food and you get some of everything. Not to mention they also give you complimentary edamame for the table. I got sashimi, which was fresh and tasteful. Decent sized cuts of sashimi tuna/salmon 2pcs each., salmon teriyaki and salmon roll- 6pcs. The bento box is completely stuffed with your 3 choices, rice, and some fruit, you get miso soup and salad on the side as well. Mom got salmon teriyaki, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. She loved it all, especially the tempura- 6 pcs or more/can't exactly recall..(shrimp, 2sweet potato, 2 broccoli, pumpkin, zucchini). She's never had tempura before and sushi boat really has delicious tempura! The tempura was perfectly battered and not overly greasy. At the end of our meal we also got free ice cream, which made such a nice touch to the end of our mother's day meal :) We definitely have to go back and try more things because it all looked very tasty! I absolutely love this place! Ive probably been going here at least once a week since i had my first rainbow roll. The servers are very friendly and super helpful when you have questions. The environment is nice and the bathrooms are always clean. Ive had the california rolls, avocado rolls, dragon roll, spider rainbow roll, sumo roll, samurai jack roll, and most recently the cancun roll and i definitely think the food is great! Will not be coming back here. This place used to be a great spot to stop by for a mid-shopping lunch break but after today it proved different. Food is still not bad however the service killed it for us. HORRIBLE! Would I like a high chair for my toddler? Sure, I'll go get it myself, can I get a fork for my 7 year old? First review for an eatery in my new city... decided to visit to Sushi Boat with my mom after reading reviews on Yelp. I might be a little spoiled by the delicious Sushi/Japanese places in San Diego, just an FYI. My mom ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Sizzler ($9.99) & I ordered the combination plate of Chicken Teriyaki, Vegetable Tempura & Avocado Sushi ($12.99); both selections came with Miso soup & salad. For the price, we got a lot of GOOD food! My 3 rating is due to the fact that the service was pretty poor quality. Although our soups came our at the same time, my mom was served her salad first and then promptly served the main entree dish. I figured that my food would be coming shortly thereafter, so I told her to start eating. After about 5 minutes of no food, I eyed the waitress hoping she would get the food to me, or at least explain what was taking so long. After about 10 minutes, when my mom was almost finished eating her meal, I watched as the waitress point out my dish to the sushi chef. Still my food did not come.. about 2 minutes later she went behind the bar and brought my food, sans the Avocado roll, which she explained would be arriving shortly. I wonder why I couldn't be served at the same time as my mom and just wait for the Avocado roll as I had to anyways? We arrived prior to the crowd, yet everyone received their food before I did. The fact of the matter was that because my food had been sitting at the bar waiting for the sushi chef to make my Avocado roll the whole time, the chicken & tempura was cold. I told the waitress but she just apologized and asked if I wanted her to "warm it up." I probably will return since the sushi is cheap... but this time it will definitely be for takeout. read more
