Beautiful birthday experience! It makes you feel like you are not just a customer but family. Their hospitality was amazing aside for their food. Miso soup was incredibly delicious and food was just amazing perfect flavor amount of flavor. Our cook was great made us laugh my kids especially my son was enjoying the whole preparation of the meal. I love going to family own business because they give you a special type of attention, care and hospitality you can't get anywhere else. Thank you for everything we will be coming back very soon.

This little hole in the wall is a gem! The staff treat you like family, making it feel like you're eating at a friend's house. The teppanyaki cook was highly skilled in his food preparation and also fairly quick. The wait times are next to nothing because it's not usually crowded. If you're looking for teppanyaki with a shorter wait time, this place is perfect. It may not be as fancy, but it's a cozy place to enjoy a nice meal.

Wa is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She never fails to make me feel welcomed or treat me with the most beautiful kindness and compassion. I love the food here as well. I usually get sushi or the teriyaki steak Teppanyaki both are amazing. The eel bowl is superb as well. The atmosphere is vampiric and very very comforting to me as I despise too much overhead lighting since it gives me a headache. Just a perfect place in every way. Thank you for always taking care of me. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

This is a family owned business that deserves recognition! They are so attentive the whole time you are there, and are caring and passionate about their services! They were so friendly to me and my children for lunch today, and made sure we were taken care of. The owner is such a nice lady, she even helped me pack away the kids food to take home. The food is flavorful and delicious. And a plus is you get both miso soup and a delicious salad before your amazing show! The kids were so entertained and loves the noodles! The new tile flooring is great and all of their chairs are comfy!

We got the shrimp and filet!

Parking is plentiful right in front and being seated was a breeze especially before dinner time. When seated, we were served water immediately. The server asked if we intended to drink anything more. We then ordered three large Sapporo beers. We ordered salmon sashimi to start. Then, my fiancé and I ended up ordering the Taste of Onori Menu to share. For $55, we received about 14 items, omokase style: Edamame & Miso Soup Tuna Sashimi (so good as a starter) Albacore Sushi (1 piece) Seared Black Cod Sushi (1 piece) Shima Aji Sushi (1 piece) King Salmon Sushi (1 piece) Toro Handroll Sea bream Sushi (my favorite piece) Halibut Sushi (1 piece) Japanese Yellowtail (1 piece) Hokkaido Scallop (1 piece) Kinme-Dai Sushi (1 piece) Ottoro/Chu-toro (1 piece - phenomenal) Salmon Handroll We weren't full after our shared meal, so we ordered a salmon cut roll. It was one of the best cut rolls I've had and it only had salmon, rice, and seaweed. Food here is magnificent. The servers are quick to take plates away and give more water, if needed. The interior is also very zen and relaxing. It's a beautiful restaurant with fantastic sushi. Again, it was truly amazing sushi and sashimi. I'm delighted to come back again when I have a craving. Truly well done!!

It was not too long of a wait at all and a great stop overall for us. Every roll was DELICIOUS. Not only was every single thing good that we tried, but there was a more plentiful amount of fish and nori seaweed sheet than I expected in each hand roll. It made the price worth it for me. The spicy tuna lingered on my tongue in the best way possible and was a sensation of good flavor. The Toro was one of my favorite hand rolls too but the salmon and yellowtail were gooood too! Seriously everything we had was delicious! I also really liked the edamame as an appetizer and palette cleanser. Only $3 and very worth it. The salt on the edamame was super flavorful, like a yuzu salt or something. It was delicious. Staff was also attentive. Moki double checked my order and continued to refill my water the whole time we were there. She was super nice and I'm so glad she was helping to serve us because she made our experience extra special. The vibe here is nice and relaxed. The lounge-like music and chill atmosphere really made it a perfect stop for us when we just wanted to enjoy something good to eat together.

The interior is well-decorated with booths and tables to choose from. We were seated at a larger table for 5 adults. Once we were seated, we asked about the all you can eat service and were told to order from a paper. They give you 3 rounds to order whatever you'd like that's available on the menu. Lunch and dinner have different prices and a few more options available for dinner specifically. While filling out the forms, our servers were very good about checking in with us, double-checking if our paper order was ready or not without rushing us, and refilling drinks whenever we were less than halfway done. The quality of the sushi is really good. I felt like the nigiri was really had really good quality fish with a nice bit of seasoning. Each bite felt fresh and easy to eat. My favorite was the mackerel and eel because of their strong flavors. The rolls were also quite flavorful, with lots of different flavors and options. I really enjoyed the spider roll, but all of them were delicious. I'm so glad we stopped by to try because we have a new sushi place in our rotation. Definitely stop by if you're in the area for an amazing deal, and ayce is not your thing, the rolls themselves I think are worth it to order!

I've eaten here a couple of times before I posting a review because sometimes experiences aren't…read moreall the same. Unfortunately, they both were for me. Having just moved here from a beach community, I was spoiled by a superb sushi restaurant in San Clemente. Though, my boyfriend loves this place for the all you can eat sushi, but he orders his same thing every time (Mexican roll), and the White House (a heavy cream baked fish) I always order something along the lines of a Rainbow Roll or a Superman Burrito (ahi hand-roll , which I don't think they had), I lean towards fresh ahi tuna, salmon and yellowtail selections. First off, my sake was lukewarm, whereas, I like hot sake. They did reheat it, so it improved it. They had an odd selection of alcoholic drinks: screwdriver, jack and coke, and Long Island iced tea, type of cocktails. Strange, but ok, whatever is a crowd pleaser. The fish to me didn't taste very fresh and seemed more chewy, especially the shrimp. I tried the White House, which tasted fine, but it was so heavy with thick cream sauce. Overall, I guess, it just didn't measure up to the quality that I am used to, comparatively. The vinyl booths were outdated, and dishes made me feel like I was in a cafeteria, white and light plastic. This change would probably elevate the experience and, possibly, even make the food present and taste better. However, maybe this is the theme that they are going for. Though all of those things should be improved upon, I do have to say that the staff was very attentive and kind. I know that a lot of people love this place for their reasons, and my best experience there was them. The last comment I will add is that, when it comes to celebrating a birthday, the celebratory music that is played, is just too loud. A small adjustment in volume would be efficient enough to make someone's day a better one. Maybe, in a few months, I'll try the establishment out again and see how they're doing. Sometimes, just by drawing a fine line on what type of experience you want customer's to have, can make all the difference. Sometimes, less is more. Just don't lose the staff, great customer service does really count.

While our waitress was kind and attentive, the overall service and atmosphere were far below what we've experienced here in the past. The chef seemed like he did not want to be there. It was just my husband and I seated with another family with two young girls who were excited to watch the cooking. He told them multiple times to calm down, which felt unnecessary and unkind given the setting. At one point, he was shouting across the restaurant to another chef. When that chef walked by our table, he held up his middle finger, which was completely inappropriate and shocking to witness during a family dining experience. There were also multiple issues with the food and service. My husband ordered a side of shrimp, but it was not initially prepared. When he mentioned it, the chef said he saw the order but was not given enough, which made us wonder if it would have been ignored entirely had we not said something. We both ordered teriyaki and had to ask for it, only to receive it in a cup rather than cooked with our meals. Throughout the dinner, we had to repeatedly ask for items that were forgotten or overlooked. The rice was also very dry, adding to the overall disappointment. To make matters worse, it felt like the chef was distracted after his family arrived and sat at another table. The entire experience felt rushed, sloppy, and lacking the quality and professionalism we previously enjoyed at other locations. After spending $200, this did not feel worth it at all. It seems the standard has significantly declined. It is no longer the special experience it once was. The Temecula location really needs to focus on improvements. The last two times were not great and we chucked it up to being new. This now just feels like their standard.

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.
