Our group of 9 were in Temecula to celebrate my wife's uncle Allen's 88th birthday. We're quite familiar with Shogun, having celebrated family get togethers on several occasions at their original Pasadena location in the past. So why only a 3 star rating from me? After probably a half dozen or more experiences with Teppanyaki grill restaurants, not really a fan of the food. More for show than anything else and a first time for uncle Allen. So that was good but things like our chef not providing much veggies for the rest of the remaining 7 of us, compared to the same amount given to her uncle and aunt was inexcusable. Especially seeing the amounts other same sized parties were receiving. Or the fact that my wife and I got the same bland chicken as others in our party requesting teriyaki, while we had orders of sesame with no sesame seeds or sauce provided. And finally getting the three sad birthday singers and drummer showing up to our table well after they had visited others. Some well after our group's birthday party had arrived. No need for me to visit another Shogun location in the future. My 3 star vote is being a bit generous. A big thank you to my wife's youngest brother Ken and his wife Natalie, for hosting and covering all expenses at Shogun. And later opening their home for the remaining birthday and Super Bowl celebrations!

Our experience at Shogun from start to finish was great. The place looked very nice, Shogun logo all of the place, decorations looked really nice. Clean bathroom, tables, plates etc. Our server was Tori she looked great with her Japanese uniform. Service was also great and even sang traditional Japanese birthday song with tambourine and her partner with drums. Took a family Polaroid picture in the end with a birthday cake that had a relighting magic candle. We had Chef Wes he did a great job entertaining us and cooked some yummy food. From our butter noodles, butter fried rice lots of butter hehe supper yummy tender calamari, juicy scallop. We had the prime rib, new york steak and seafood combo. Just dont ask him about the world cup because he will talk about the lakers lol. We got also got takoyaki, mai tai, half rolls. Afterwards Antonia the smiling lady cleaning up and setting the table for the next guest. Wes came back and gave my son the winding chick toy. Memorable 8th birthday. Thank you Chef Wes, Tori & Antonia have a nice day!

Last night, me and my husband and our three month old went to Shogun. It was my husband's first time at any hibachi. I was a little bit nervous with bringing a baby in a stroller, but the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was very clean inside they had a really nice bar inside. I also noticed. The service was honestly amazing Cathy was our server and she was very attentive ,fast with getting our drinks and very good with checking up on us.. Wes was our chef who was cooking for us and he was 10 out of 10 amazing. The food tasted amazing. Overall, it was a great night and a great first time experience for my husband. We will definitely be coming back.!

Always love going to Shogun. We frequently eat here. My go to is the Filet and Colossal shrimp. My last visit I chose the Wagyu Rib Eye and Colossal Shrimp. I also love the butter cake, it is a must. Enjoy the selection of Japanese beer and Saki. Sometimes it takes a while to get your drinks from the bar so make sure to get the bar orders in early. The show is always entertaining and they have a large selection of combinations.

Went to try Shogun happy hour tonight. It was pretty underwhelming, first of all the service is terrible. We were the only people at the bar. And it took us 20 minutes to get a drink. We received all our happy hour food before our drinks, we received no utensils and no napkins. Luckily the chopsticks were in reach over the bar and we got her own. (Maybe she was new). I guess the most positive thing I can say is that the prices were extremely cheap. Everything was four dollars, seven dollars and nine dollars. However, I would not get the fried calamari rings, extremely rubbery and not edible. Do however, spring the nine dollars for the spicy tuna crispy rice roll. Very good. Also another mention is the spicy garlic edamame at only four dollars. What a bargain I might try them again and might try to sit at a different part of the bar, but overall it was mediocre. By the way, be wary of the to go containers, they have holes in the lid, which isn't immediately obvious, so if you put sauce, it runs all over the place.

We have been dinning at Shogun over 10 years. Yum!

We have been enjoying Shogun for 15+ years. We have been there twice in the last month to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday . We could have chosen other restaurants but know we always get really great food and service at Shogun. They remodeled over the last year, sparing no expense. Frankly, there is no comparison to Benihanna. Shogun is a far better choice. The chefs at Shogun are outstanding provide exceptional entertainment and really delicious food. The staff is always welcoming and efficient. We can hardly wait for our next visit.

What time do the teppan tables start seating?

Is Shogun have weekdays lunch specials meal? Any idea what's kind of meal?

    Yes

How much in advance can we make a reservation? Planning for a graduation dinner in a couple weeks and want to make sure we lock in a time.

You can call however long in advance to make a reservation! The earlier the better, cause this place can get pretty busy during graduation times/holidays. Just include how many people will be in your party and whether you need any baby…

Anyone how to make reservations? they are not answering the phone

I suggest calling early like around 12nn-1pm right when they open.. Or right before they close around 8-8:30pm

    Open for dine in yet?

    Yes, have to make Reservations

Does anyone know if it's open for dine-in I'm calling to ask but no one answers?

    Is it Kid friendly?

    Yes!!!

What is the largest party size that can be accommodated at the grill?

Normally seating is for 8, but they can squeeze in 10 if needed. Or another option is to have 16 people and occupy both grills.

No ; there are pictures of menu on here though .

On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!

When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.
