The sushi, service, and 20% off daily happy hour were all excellent. I had the Seared Toro Roll with the Toro raw instead of seared. It was very tasty and satisfying. I ordered the Tataki Special Roll and it left me full & happy. The waitress was very kind and upbeat, so I'd definitely return! They also have a Los Feliz location, if you're off the 5.

I had Happy Hour dinner here! The food was great and our server was excellent!! My only thing was the music was not good. Change your playlist and you get 5 stars!

I was craving sushi & our son said Sushi Ai was his favorite so we went and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was super fresh & our server was polite & efficient. One warning: the spicy edamame is HOT so beware.

We wanted to try another sushi spot on 2nd Street and picked Sushi Ai for the outdoor seating. We were the first to arrive just after they opened at noon. A sign indicated that we could pick our own table and once we did, the server was quick to arrive and let us know that we could choose from the Happy Hour menu which gives you 20% of a selection of appetizers and rolls along with a variety of beers. We opted to order off the regular menu and tried the Baked Jumbo Scallop, Eel Crunch Roll and the Sashimi 9pc lunch special, which included Tuna, Salmon, and White Fish for 19.99. The Baked Scallop arrived steaming hot and was so flavorful. Along with the Eel Crunch all the sauces were so well balanced. The Sashimi tasted fresh and was filling. Overall, a delicious meal with great service!

Amazing quality of sushi. It is a little on the pricier side- but it's definitely worth it. They have lunch specials which are perfect. I enjoy their carpaccios, the sauce they used for my tuna was amazing!

Sushi Ai is one of my favorite sushi restaurants for a few reasons. The staff is personable and actually talks to you (on slower days), sushi/nigiri is fresh, and it's clean. As you walk in, you're greeted by the staff. I like many of the options on the menu - there's sushi, nigiri, bento boxes, udon, and bowls. It's a simple menu but it has many of my favorites. My go to are the bento boxes, bowls, and fresh sushi. However, prepare to spend a little more. It is more on the steeper side!

Self seating during slower hours. Servers are polite and friendly. I'd recommend getting some type of appetizer since the rolls take some time to freshly prepare. Baked mussels are a personal favorite along with shishito peppers. I usually get the Spicy Alaska or Fire roll. The restaurant is quite relaxed. Chefs are often open to having a chat which also gives it a lively ambiance. Always a pleasure to eat here! They have a happy hour with select rolls at a 20% discount.

    7/22/23 Finally trying Sushi Ai

7/22/23 Finally stopped in to try Sushi Ai We've passed by this sushi joint about a few dozen times, so hubby was feeling like having sushi today-Why not give it a Go? We rolled in, no wait at 10 pm on a Saturday night. Initially, our server was Maria, then Angie stepping in. Hubby ordered salmon roll, Scottish pepper salmon with garlic ponzu & Fire-i guess he was really famished. I opted to get the Sushi & sashimi dinner--this was highly satisfying. The fish was sliced THICK, the sushi chef didn't skimp at all. It tasted fresh, great mouthfeel. It was silky smooth. Presentation looked a bit sloppy but the food tasted great. Hubby gave his rolls the two thumbs up! Service by Angle was fairly prompt but not as attentive as we'd like. We sat outside by the sidewalk & people watched as we dined. For the price we paid, I expected better/attentive service. Highly satisfied with our meal.

Oooof sushi ai is so underrated & was honestly so surprised there wasn't as much people. But hey, I guess I can't complain about a line. Very good sushi for a decent cost. I live in the Bay Area though im desensitized to the cost of dining out LULZ. But anyway, I got a salad, 2-piece toro and 3 additional rolls for ONLY $89. Like what an absolute steal! The service was quick and staff was so friendly. Ambiance is pretty casual which is nice if you want good sushi and a chill date night. I'm definitely coming back! Toro = MELT in your mouth delicious. If I could just eat toro and not break my account I would. Hawaiian Garlic Roll = OMFG. The holy grail. The butter flavor in this roll adds next level. Jumbo scallop roll = delicious flavor but felt unsure about how overcooked the scallops were on top. Crispy onion roll: delicious but not my favorite. Between the fish, flavor and crispy salad and onion on top it felt too acidic.

While I can say I love the entry way, that's generally where my excitement wears off- every single time. I'm not doctor diagnosed, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck I bet all the fish in that contaminated marina outside the establishment that I have food poisoning. I've not had one normal stool since leaving that place. Meanwhile my daughters are planning their return. I won't be there. I hope they find someone else to pay. Cuz tantalum ain't cheap. Lastly, the rule about happy hour in the bar to me makes no sense. Happy hour should extend to the entire restaurant no matter where you're sitting. I personally hate the bar. I hate watching the baristas on their cell phones texting whomever they're texting. I hate watching them huddled in the corner, not washing their hands. And I also hate the fact that the televisions are on and worse blocking the view. Is this a sports bar or is it a nice dining experience. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. It's very dark inside and I understand that is the vibe but come on now change the carpets. What do I know anyway? My daughters will be back, Sysco foods and all...allegedly. The food from the photos looked amazing so we thought this would be a good place to try. We entered and it is quite small. Expect to have a bit of a wait during rush hour. Lucky for us it was just us two, and it was towards the end of lunch. The inside looked super cute and the aesthetic reminded me of the Philippines. They had these cool lanterns, and metal soda signs in Thai. Plus umbrellas below the ceiling. The menu looked really cool, like it was from a newspaper that is colored. The plates had roosters on it. I loved the ambiance for sure. We saw a couple order a few things I asked what they had ordered. One was grilled pork neck and they suggested the Tom Yum Mama Seafood soup and for dessert mango and sticky rice. I also got green thai tea for drink. We got it all mild because my spice tolerant isn't as good as it use to me, and my mom usually tolerates mild as well in regards to spice. The presentation of the food is great. The Soup was so delicious! I'll definitely order again. It had noodles, like thin ramen. The seafood was delicious with the crunchy pork. It blended so well. I love that the soup was sour and spicy. The pork neck was a bit too spicy, and so I believe they might have not prepared it mild. It was a bit difficult to eat because of it, but still really good. The mango and sticky rice is delicious as well. Perfectly made. I will definitely come back here.

We found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant, and it was a 30 minute but the hostess said it was no problem. There is also a lot nearby that I'm sure patrons of the many small businesses in this neighborhood use.

Checked out S T Noodle Bar today and had a good experience!…read more We were eating with an infant so high chair friendly was a must. We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!
