We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons. We spent a lot that night, and leaving a fish sandwich I didn't enjoy (and couldn't send back due to lack of service) just added to the disappointment. I sincerely hope management addresses the bar staff's lack of attentiveness, because if this continues, this cute place won't last. I had an I-10 when I was there. Service was great. The friendly and helpful bartender was a good man, letting me grab a quick drink even though I wasn't staying there. So, be warned, this is for guests only...except on First Friday Art Walk nights. Then they are fully open to the public. I'll be back on a First Friday, you can count on it.

The Yucca Croquettes were good but 5 of them were $10 which is not worth it. The sides offered are tater tot's served with peri peri sauce and French fries. I asked if I could get the peri peri sauce with the fries they said yes but did not mention it was cost over a dollar. At the end of the day the views are nice, food is good but charging average of 30¢ more for each item than advertised with additional tax does not sit well with me.

There are occasional bands playing in the afternoons which is a big plus. The sun can be a bit oppressive in the late afternoon summers. The umbrellas are ineffective at that time. Overall, I recommend Beaches for mid-day food and drink or late day entertainment and food.
