Finally got around to trying this place. We ordered 4 drinks: Oreo brûlée, strawberry jasmine, white peach oolong cheese, and Sunright boba milk tea. Oreo brûlée: tastes delicious but a little heavy for me. It's almost like a milkshake. Strawberry jasmine: this was refreshing, but just okay. I like the bits of strawberry. White peach oolong cheese: this was okay. I think the cheese foam makes it taste odd. Wouldn't get this again. Sunright boba milk tea: this was my favorite out of all of the drinks. The milk tea tasted really good. I hate boba but didn't mind it. I don't think this place is anything special, but it's not bad. read more

Many people need coffee but I need a drink ( some kind of tea or boba ) to keep myself awake everyday. Their drinks just make me feel so much better and refresh. The atmosphere in there is good and clean which it love it so much. Alot of boba places fill the whole store with tables, chairs and things but this place has a big open area and a clean look which it is a very important thing for a customer!! I haven't tried all of their drinks but all the drinks I have tried are all good - great! 1) sunright fruit tea - it MIGHT be a bit sweet for some of you that can't handle sweetness but it gives a refreshing taste 2) boba milk tea - for some reason, i like their milk tea and their boba which it sweet and chewy 3) taro milk tea - real taro and of course, good milk tea 4) orange yogurt green tea - instead of lemon, you have a few more choices of yogurt green tea which i like 5) watermelon cooler P.S. I was just at the Diamond Bar branch yesterday. Saw on their IG story that they're having soft opening at Costa Mesa. So here I am! (Next week is their grand opening!!) Seriously though. I've been to the Diamond Bar branch at least once a week since it opened. 1. DECOR: Seemed like the Sunright Sign & staff shirts are a different color compared to the DB branch. It's a nice contrast (yes I noticed!). The store's got a different feel to it. Despite being slightly smaller, there's actually more tables. There's even an outdoor sitting area. It's a great place to sit down and talk over some tea/dessert or do some studying. The entire decor just makes you feel right at home and gorgeous to take pictures with! They've also changed the design of their cups & stickers (long strip instead of circle ones). The cups have a nice feel to them. Definitely different from the typical ones you'd find anywhere else. 2. STAFF: Other than the owner/manager, I didn't recognize the two workers there. However, no matter the location, I've never had a problem with the workers. Everyone's always super friendly and energetic. Everyone's wearing their uniforms + hats. Great team spirit! 3. DRINKS: I'm like a creature of habit. Once I like a certain drink, I stick with it every single time. My go to: Strawberry Jasmine with no ice, 50% sugar, and Agar boba. It might take some getting used to. However, I actually appreciate how NOT sweet the drinks are. In a world where almost everthing is filled with excess amount of sugar, it's important to cut down on the sugar level. Plus, you can always customize the levels to your own liking. I just really like how the drink tastes. There's always real fruits inside. Other drinks I've had a chance to try: Grapefruit Jasmine (real grapefruit inside!), their new Fruit Drink that just came out (diced pineapple, lemon, passion fruit jam, watermelon). You can actually taste the passion fruit seeds! And for those that might want something sweeter- their oreo drink was really good. I thought it would be way too sweet but it was actually really tasty, with actual chunks of crushed oreos! I was studying at the store once and saw the owner actually scooping out fresh taro into a clear measuring bucket and churning it over and over to prepare for the taro drinks. The smell can only be described as fresh. This is not something powdered taro can compare with. (Do you get the idea now that they use real fruits and ingredients in general?) 4. DESSERT: Had the chance to try their Matcha soft serve today. Let me just tell you that I normally don't care much for Matcha anything and would skip ordering it on the menu. But when I bit into the soft serve, it tasted very matcha-y but in a good way! It was rich but not overpowering. The combination of the soft serve + the cone = SO good!! My friend is a Costa Mesa native and insisted I try this place, specifically the Matcha smoothie. IT IS AMAZING! My friend orders this like every week, and now I will too. The matcha and creme brûlée come together like perfection. I order it 50% sweet (my usual) and it's not too sweet. I also sub for boba instead of red bean, and the boba is also perfect. So happy to have a real boba shop open up in the OC Mix! I was so excited to try the drinks I showed up first thing for the soft opening. I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea which a lot of places don't get quite right but they did a really good job! Nailed the butterscotch flavor in a way that was noticeable but not overpoweringly sweet. The honey boba had good texture and flavor too. The staff was still getting trained a bit when we showed up and they were still setting everything up so drinks took a while, but since it's soft opening it is understandable and the employees had a great attitude about everything! As a minor aside, the cups here are made of nicer plastic and feel good in your hands. A small plus over other shops. This location is kinda hard to find as it is inside a bunch of small shops in a small corner. Huge parking lot to park in and it looks like to be surrounded by a lot of high end stores. Super friendly customer service here! We got the sunright tea boba and the passionfruit grapefruit. I think the milk teas can all be put to 75% sugar if you add honey boba and typically I usually get normal sugar. The passionfruit grapefruit was ON POINT for the fruit tea. Normally I don't like fruit tea but if I am ever in the mood again, this is definitely the best place for that. This location isn't allowed to sell coffee since there's a coffee shop next door, so they have a Matcha Oolong Milk Tea instead of their Coffee Oolong Milk Tea. I ordered this drink because I love Matcha and I love Oolong Tea! It wasn't what I expected....I ordered it at 50% sweetness with brown sugar boba by the worker's recommendation. I don't like the brown sugar boba with this drink and the drink tasted watered down....the Oolong Tea was very very faint and not strong enough, as well as the Matcha. I was just drinking sugary watered down tea..... We also ordered the Strawberry Jasmine Tea (LOVE this at the Redstraw boba shop in Irvine). I thought it would be awesome like drinking fresh strawberry juice with a hint of Jasmine Tea, but oh my goshhhhh...HELLA SOUR STRAWBERRY BITS hit me as I kept drinking! My drink was a super watered down jasmine tea with sour strawberry bits. I was so disappointed. I had the Matcha Soft Serve and NOW this was the only thing worth the visit! Sunright Tea Studio is part of collection of shops and cafes in the SOCO shopping center. I loved that a boba shop can hang with the high end tastes of SOCO! I ordered a brown sugar red bean boba with 50% sweetness, and it was just the right amount of sweetness for me. I tend to enjoy less sweet boba drinks because the boba already contains sugar. The red beans were also well cooked. The workers at this shop were very efficient and they offered recommendations to me as a new customer. The only complaint I have of the shop is that they need to tidy the inside of their shop a bit more. The windows were kind of messy from the outside. They have one in Diamond Bar so I was SO excited when I found out they opened one in SoCo @ Costa Mesa!! Sunright's my go-to boba place and my friends & i ALWAYS come to Sunright after a good brunch. This location did not disappoint! My favorite thing to order is the Oreo Brulée Milk Tea w/ 75% sugar and less ice. It's super delicious because the flavoring has the perfect amount of sweetness and it doesn't overpower the taste of the tea. My favorite part of it is the Oreo bits in the drink! OMG. It's a definite must try! Their fruity teas are also very refreshing so if you prefer drinks that are not like desserts and are on the healthier, more refreshing side, I'd recommend getting those. I have visit Sunright on the other locations and pretty much like it. So I decide to try this location as well (since it closer to my house). However, this brought me a horrible experience. Both drink and service. I ordered 2 Oreo Brulee Boba milk - 1 regular creme brulee with boba and 1 extra creme brulee with no boba. The one with boba have 100% sugar but it doesn't as sweet as I thought (maybe I have sweet tooth), so I let my friends tried it. Surprisingly, my friends, they all taste the same as me. The boba was not sweet at all. Well, at least its still ok. The other one with extra creme brulee taste better, yet, they did not add creme brulee. Not at all, not even regular nor extra. I took more slip try to search for it but no, no hope. So, I went back and ask if they forgot to add creme brulee to my drink. They refuse. They said they added the creme brulee in and also add extra creme brulee as request. They said they have blended it in. What a liar. This is not the first time I have this drink so I know, even if I shake or stir it, they would not be mix and melt like sugar disappear. Or at least, if I cannot see through the drink, I would still taste it. The one with regular creme brulee can still be seen but not the one with extra creme brulee So, if the employee said they added extra in but I can't taste it. Really wish I discovered this place earlier because I'm obsessed! I've been back every week so we've found out about it. The drinks here are comparable to Omomo's quality without the long line. My favorite drinks are the strawberry smoothie with cheese (75%), the matcha smoothie (75%), and strawberry green tea (50%). Drinks are perfectly blended and the cheese or creme brûlée add so much depth to the flavor. The strawberry green tea has a very refreshing strawberry taste and you could still taste the tea. Been coming to this location a lot more since my friend really enjoys it! I have ordered the oolong milk tea which is good because the oolong is bitter and it's a good balance with the milk. I have also ordered the oolong tea itself and it is a strong a powerful herbal tea and it's not too sweet so that is good as well. Of course you can adjust the sweetness on their self ordering screen. My friend usually orders their fruit teas that seem really pretty and good as well so I'll have to try it out. The only thing is that indoor seating is very limited during this time so we had to sit outdoors and it was kind of cold that day so I would recommend bringing a jacket or something if you have to resort to that. Sunright is located between Birdie & Portola Coffee Lab inside of The OC Mix plaza, and there are plenty of tables in front of the Sunright shop in case you wanted to hang out or study. The workers are nice & I like that they have an virtual stamp card for their rewards program (1 drink = 1 stamp, get a free drink on your 10th stamp). Beverage-wise, the drinks here are so gooood! I've gotten both the Strawberry Jasmine fruit tea and the Oreo Brulee Boba Milk and both were delicious. My personal favorite is the Oreo Brulee Boba Milk - I literally finish this drink before I arrive back at work ten minutes away. I've also heard good feedback from my friends about the Ceylon milk tea and the yogurt drinks. I took off two stars because I saw a post from a food influencer on Instagram where she asked to get her drink customized to mimic the Oreo Brulee Green Milk Tea from Omomo (Oreo Brulee base + Green Milk Tea) & she actually recommended it because she said it was amazing and called it her new go-to since the taste resembled Omomo's drink but without the insanely long line. SO, excited over this recommendation, I went and asked if I could customize my drink. The worker said yes, and when I asked her for an oreo brulee base with green milk tea, she looked at me and said someone got yelled at for making that the other day because there are all these extra ingredients and should make the drink cost more, so they couldn't make it for me. I ended up getting the regular oreo brulee boba milk (which is still good as is) but I was a little annoyed that it was made before for previous customers + the worker initially said yes when I asked if I could customize my drink. It was also advertised on social media by a food influencer, which isn't their fault but I guess it counts as false advertising?? I don't mind paying the extra few cents, but apparently they don't have the option to charge for customization, which I feel like it's something that should be implemented. I ordered the oreo brulee milk tea with boba and 25% sweet with oat milk and it was SO BOMB. Sunright is probably one of my favorite tea shops now and it kinda reminds me of omomo in Irvine. They have a lot of different options here from fruit teas to milk teas to just jasmine tea with se cream. Anyways, going back to the drink, the boba is sweet and chewy and the drink itself wasn't too sweet and you could really taste the tea from here. I didn't end up shaking it 17 times, but it was still pretty good. The drinks are super aesthetic and definitely worth the price. Friendly staff, clean business, yummy boba! I came on my break to see what seemed like 8-10 people waiting for their drinks before me. I was a little hesitant to order because I didn't want to return back to work late, however I really wanted to give sunrise a try! I placed my order on a large touch screen, and a very kind employee let me know I could ask her any questions. Ordering was super straight forward and easy! As I waited off to the side with the other customers, their drinks were coming out very quickly! I only waited about 4 minutes for my drink :) I was very happy and grateful that the employees of Sunrise got my beverage out so quickly, even with a line, because I could enjoy my drink at a normal pace and didn't have to chug it before going back to my shift :) Wonderful Boba spot!
